This was our second stay at Podewils and it is an absolute gem. Doll's house esq from the outside, this is a fabulous boutique hotel with delightful staff. They are very responsive to enquiries made in advance. They are able to arrange private transport to and from the airport for you providing with you with peace of mind that your transfers will be smooth. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel is in a lovely location with views of the harbour. The variety at breakfast is excellent and the hot breakfast options are cooked to order.

This place has gone above and beyond To make my stay feel like home. I honestly think this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I can’t tell the secrets why, you must go there to find out. Their breakfast is amazing, their service was amazing. All the people were right there to help me I can not say enough about how lucky I was to stay in this little hotel. I would never stay anywhere else if I were to go there again. It’s a great location, the accommodations are out of this world. I got a canal view and it was so beautiful. I honestly felt like a queen there. It’s a boutique hotel so it’s small but the lady serving breakfast every morning after the first day, knew exactly where I liked to sit and coffee And how I wanted my eggs. The selection of food was amazing too.

There was not one simple thing I can say that was negative about this hotel. It’s located right across the canal from old town… and the Rooms, hotel and aervice Was amazing

The location is amazing, the room was beautiful & service from the staff was outstanding. AC worked, shower is powerfull and the room was made to perfection. It was easy to get to and from the road to the hotel.

We additionally paid for secure parking, unfortunately, it’s just behind the building and in the sun (it was gated & secure). We had some perishable food in the car, so had to cool down the car as it was very hot outside. Other than this, we loved everything.

Very nice historical building on the river, close to the ciry center of Gdansk. Staff are very friendly, we let our luggage there before check in and after check out without any issue, they advised on public transport and spoke good English. The room was quite spacious, beautifully furnished and clean. It was warm enough and the bathroom was big and well equipped (we appriacted the baththub :)). Overall very good value for money considering that Gdansk is quite touristic and expensive compared to other Polish cities.

Staff were attentive, professional and went out of their way to make our stay perfect in this charming boutique hotel. The position is perfect with a fabulous view. Rooms and bathrooms immaculately clean and top of the range. We were given a VIP reception on arrival and throughout our stay. The hotel has history and character.

Nothing not to like.

Very clean, stylish hotel only 5 minutes walk from the main old town. Rooms were very spacious and well equipped with the complimentary mead and chocolates being a very nice touch. Breakfast was fantastic with both continental buffet and hot options.

Biggest let down was the bed, which was not the most comfortable although this comes down to personal taste. Both me and my partner had difficulty sleeping as the combination of hard mattress and very soft pillows proved to be rather uncomfortable. Even using extra cushions didn't help. Also the bathroom could do with a little maintenance as there was a large stain on the floor around the toilet and a lot of rust on the taps.

Beautiful decor, the room was spacious, the staff were very friendly and polite, the breakfast buffet was nice, and the welcome drink was a nice touch.

Our room was on the ground floor, which feels a lot less private and we could hear cars driving past at night with an open window (which we had to open as it was really hot). Breakfast buffet has to be booked for a specific time slot because the restaurant is small (although it is very lovely) - this is just not ideal if you feel a bit tired in the morning and wish you could have a longer lie in.

Old Polish property with modern amenities close to the old city, perfect for sightseeing. Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much. Breakfast catered for all tastes and appetites. A buffet and also a menu with a variety of hot food choices. Our early pick ups for trips was accommodated by the hotel and staff too.

The only fault we could find was that there were no blinds in the bathroom, only curtains. You had to have them closed when using the facilities i.e toilet, shower etc. This could be easily rectified.

Great location and lovely people who couldn't do enough to help. The location was perfect - close to everything but not noisy. Very comfortable bed and good breakfasts.

I can't say I 'didn't like it' but just a suggestion: there were no instructions for the TV so we had to fumble our way through and then discovered that people had left their Netflix accounts set up. So we jumped onto that and had a good range of programmes to watch. I would suggest a folder with guidance for all the amenities. Also the website seems to list two restaurants but we were told the hotel did not do dinner now, due to Covid. Fair enough but worth updating. Worth checking too, if you want a stand up shower, ask when you book a room if the ensuite has this. We had a lovely room and an overbath shower but due to the eaves this was set very low and could only be used for a handheld wash down.

Very charming hotel with a feeling of home. Friendly and attentive staff. Nicely decorated room. Ideal location, peaceful and in the middle of everything at the same time.

The hotel needs a technical overhaul. Safe deposit didn't work, a fuse blew when we turned on the lights, the light went off when we were in the sauna.
