Palmeira’s resort was a perfect stay! The town of Velsao is nice and calm, and the hotel lets you borrow bicycles to ride around town and to the beach. The facilities are very nice, the pool and gardens are beautiful and the restaurant has very nice food and many options ! The staff are ALL so nice, helpful, and take the extra time to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. There is a real sense of care and community at Palmeira’s. Sunil, the manager, took time out of his day to help me rent a scooter near by, and was very attentive and welcoming! The common area by the pool is very conducive to exchanging with other guests and that was also lovely. It’s also very easy to access the many beaches along the coast by walking or car/taxi/scooter to discover more of south Goa. Thank you to all the staff who made my time so so enjoyable !

We really liked the kindness and hospitability of the staff. We came from a more luxurious resort were staff was less warm. Also the cocktails which were so good, best we've had in India. The resort provides bikes which was very good for us to go to a store or nearby beach. The prices were great, and the food in the restaurant was very good and freshly cooked. The pool was clean, with enough beds and towels provided. When we had to catch a train very early on check out day the manager made a to go bag with sandwiches, water and bananas which was so kind and amazing!

Wifi was a bit weak in some places, like our room. Also breakfast could do with improving, or maybe when theres few guest make it to order. Beds a bit hard.

Palmeiras Dourado best is its location. Situation in a calm surrounding and walkable to the beachcomber makes it a place to often. Equipped with restaurant, Bar and facilities needed for the stay, the place is comfortable and feels safe. Good place for a solo walk around the places. The staff are super friendly and always on Ready-mode to assist. Sunil is an asset to this asset - he was super helpful, guiding and ensured we get all services on time. Well done.

Set in beautiful gardens and just a short walk away from a vast but secluded beach. The hotel was extremely clean with a very welcoming lobby area. We were greeted by the friendly Manager, Sunil Rathod, who also provided us with a welcoming coconut drink. We chose a budget room as we were only staying for one night but we were offered the option to upgrade if we wished. I happened to see one of the larger rooms which looked very well presented with a balcony over looking the pool and beautiful plants. The staff are all very friendly here - we’ve had some great chats with Remy who has frequently brought us drinks and meals. The food is extremely well presented and cooked freshly - this sometimes means you need a little patience but it is definitely worth the wait!!! Lots of choice 😊 We even had free use of the bikes here. Sunil very kindly allowed us to extend our stay after check out as we had a late flight. There was no charge for this. Our only regret is that we didn’t book longer here. We would definitely recommend.

from the beginning of my booking, Sunil, the front desk manager, whatsapped me and I had excellent communication with the hotel. Then Brian, the driver picked me up and later we also toured around Old Goa and Brian is so knowledgeable and informative. All the restaurant staff Nikil, Staron and Remy were fantastic and I so enjoyed the freshly cooked Goan fish and curries. The chef Bhadam is excellent! There is also a nice pool and you are within 7mins walking distance to an endless long 12km sandy beach. There are life guards everywhere. The hotel is set in a wonderful residential area and I enjoyed my long bicycle tours around the area. Lovely old Portuguese houses and all full of green palm trees. I also would like to thank Raja the night manager and Sanjeev the watch man and Alistair and his team for very good house keeping. the property is privately managed by Mr Orville and he looks very much after this property. We first visited this hotel 6 years ago and loved it then but improvements have been made in the meantime and it's even better now. The facilities have improved as had the food and drink offering. Whilst resorts in North Goa are becoming a lit busier and developed, Cansaulim remains unspoilt and is worth the additional drive from the new airport. The staff were amazing, my daughter who has health requirements, joined us and her needs were met in full. Strongly recommend

We booked a budget room for 1 night to catch a flight from GOI airport. What a amazing resort with wonderful garden, it was a pleasant stay, very clean room and sheets, superb fantastic bed, very clean pool, friendly staff made me feel like home. As per the standard check out is 11am but being very kind and understanding manner they helped me late but no extra charge. Which saved my energy and money. We wish to come back again soon. The property was walkable to a lovely beach. They have a lovely garden and pool. The restaurant had amazing food and drinks to order and overlooks the garden/pool. The hospitality of the staff were top notch. They help in arranging trips/activities at your convenience and reasonable rates. They went out of their way to arrange complementary cake/decor to celebrate my parents’ anniversary during our stay. Safe to say we will definitely be booking the place again!

This property and staff are amazing , the place is beautiful and very pretty . The staff are all very helpful and go out of their way to help with anything you need . We stayed 5 nights and had a fantastic time . The food here is exceptional , we have never had such good food in a hotel before . A special big Thankyou to Sunhil who really made our stay special .

There is nothing to dislike !

This is a cozy resort not a huge corporate one but a cute family owned resort, but one with everything that you need to have a very relaxing vacation. The staff are super friendly, Sunil the GM and the staff went way above and beyond to make us feel welcome, the took care of all the small requests that we had to make our stay very enjoyable. The kids loved the pool and the beach which is a short walk away was very quiet and peaceful this allowed the kids to really enjoy by being themselves. There is a lifeguard at the beach that made it feel safe. The staff helped us book a wonderful cab and driver Mr. Sudesh who took us around Goa to see the sights. He has good recommendations for shopping and restaurants as well. Overall we had a very good time, wish the vacation was longer.
