This place was far above our expectations. The owners were very friendly, caring and helpful. Genuine hospitality they provided to us was better than in 5 start hotels in Dubai :) The views are wonderful and the whole atmosphere in this cottages can't be explained, it should be experienced - so serene and peaceful, surrounded by nature with the local village vibe. Food was authentic Balenese homemade, portions were huge and it was very very tasty. The cottage is cozy is was cleaned every day. You will have everything you need inside. Bathroom and bedsheets were clean. The owner's cute puppy was very friendly with us and we miss her :)

Everything was fantastic! The room is very spacious, clean, bed is very comfortable, balcony and the view it’s amazing at the side of the island where sun rises, to sunrises from balcony were magical. Included breakfast were so tasty, and all orher meals from the menu, havent ate out, cause food was so good. Close to Atuh and Diamond beach, very quiet and peaceful area. People there were very friendly and social. Owners are just the kindest and friendliest people, felt like at home, got so much information about what to see in island and about the culture, the island, about hindu religion. The best stay in Bali, can’t wait to come back! Would definately reccomend

Atuh is located in East Nusa Penida - about 1 and a half hours away from West Penida (famous Kelingking beach) You will need a driver to bring you around which the cottage can help you book (a bit on the pricier side imo) The cottage is further inside and you only have 1 restaurant beside the cottage with a limited menu to order from. If you don't mind the isolated location, it is peaceful. The owners are the sweetest people (as all Bali people are)

Nothing I would complain about. Just take note: - roosters will wake you up at 4 am haha - location is away from any restaurants or any convenience store

We stayed for 3 nights at Atuh Forest Cottage and honestly, it was a dream! The place is spotlessly clean, cozy, and surrounded by a beautiful garden that feels like a little slice of paradise. Breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. But the real highlight? The hosts! The owner and his wife are the warmest, kindest, most genuine people we've met on the island. Always smiling, always ready to help – they made us feel like part of their family. If I could give 12 out of 10, I absolutely would. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

I was looking for a nice, peaceful place, and I found a beautiful, quiet, fragrant, and inspiring spot that recharges your energy. It’s close to stunning beaches. The owner and his wife helped me with everything, from arranging my arrival and departure to recommending places worth visiting. I must say, just spending time at the hotel was enough for me to relax. An incredibly comfortable bed in a beautiful, airy room. From the terrace, I could watch the sea and enjoy a wonderful view of nature. Living in such a place, I now understand why the owners are so content. The owners are incredibly positive people, and over a glass of excellent mango juice, you can have a great chat with the owner, who speaks perfect English! I’m grateful I stayed in such a place. On my next trip, I’ll definitely come here again, and I’m already looking forward to it!

A hidden gem located on the east side of the island, close to the atuh beach and Diamond Beach. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The food was another highlight of the stay. The menu was quite extensive, offering a wide variety of delicious options. Whether you’re in the mood for local delicacies or international dishes, you won’t be disappointed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They offer convenient services like pickup and drop-off, which made our arrival and departure hassle-free. Additionally, they rent out bikes, which is a great way to explore the island at your own pace. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing escape, this is the right place to stay.

We loved our stay at Atuh Forest Cottage, Gede and his family made us feel so welcome. This is the perfect place to stay if you want an authentic experience of country life in Nusa Penida. It was a peaceful, off the beaten track experience away from the crowds and Gede invited us to a ceremony at the local temple, which was a very special chance to see local life. Atuh Beach is about 5 mins by scooter or 30 mins walking, it was perfect to swim there at high tide but it’s too shallow for swimming at low tide. Highly recommend staying here!

The neighbours music was a bit loud one night, but that’s life. Being nearby the local community in the area might impact people who want complete peace & quiet.

Host was very friendly, huts were clean, food was good. Huts located in a very small village in the middle of nature, overlooking tropical forrest. Very quiet and tranquil location, good spot if you want to get away from tourists crowds, and enjoy some time alone. Everything nice and clean. We were also able to refresh after a day of beach even though we arlready checked out, which was very kind of the hosts to offer.

Place is far from everything, so if you want to go the beach, bar or restaurant you need to arrange the transportation, which we found was a bit too expensive and its adds up quickly (compared to other places in Bali or island). Visiting with kids there is not much to do there.
