Dar Gabriel provides comfortable accommodations--the room and especially the bathroom are relatively spacious by Moroccan "Dar" standards, with places to hang your clothes. It's located on a lane attractive enough that you'll have to make your way past other tourists and visitors usiing it for their photo backdrop. But I think easily overlooked is one of its best features: it's near the edge of the medina, a short walk from a plaza where a taxi can let you off or where you can get a taxi when you leave. (There's also a farmer's market in the plaza 2 days a week.) Don't understimate the value of not having to tote your suitcases deep into the medina.

I would have to work to come up with something I didn't like, and there's no reason to do that.

It's a quaint, cosy guesthouse right in the medina and close to a gate to the new town so transfer of luggage is really easy. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are uncluttered, clean, comfortable with charming decorations. At night, once everyone is settled, it's really quiet - we had a good nights sleep. The terrace is pretty and overlooks the medina. Breakfast was great with juice, coffe, msimen, toasted hops bread and a scrambled egg!

Most rooms face either into the interior courtyard or the terrace, so you hear clearly when people are moving around.

Extremely nice place with very friendly and welcoming staff, the bedrooms are comfortable, clean and very nicely decorated. We felt very good and comfortable, the interior is very well taken care of and has a special flare, also the view from the terrace is very nice. The location is just perfect! We would definitely come back ! :)

Nothing, everything was great!

We were not expecting an entire villa all to ourselves. And the private pool was a bonus. There was more than enough space for our family of six. The food was delicious. It gave a very authentic feel and was not very expensive.

Well . . . there was only one problem. A giant cockroach showed up in the bathroom the first night. Staff came immediately to find it, but it camouflaged itself on the wooden cabinetry. So we didn't use that bathroom all night. Then the next day my daughter found it and screamed louder than I had the night before. Staff came immediately and found it this time. I guess it can be expected when you're out in a remote location surrounded by so much greenery.

The location of Dar Gabriel is excellent, it was very easy to find on a beautiful road. The dar was very clean and we loved the decor. The terrace is also very nice. The hosts were lovely especially Hind who was very kind and thoughtful. She offered us advice on where to eat and was so friendly throughout our stay.

Breakfast was adequate but could be better (for example savoury options like eggs)

I am a girl who needs protein with breakfast, would have loved an egg!

We loved that the Hotel sits in the center of everything and its still so peaceful. We were right in the Medina. Everywhere is opened till late and everyone was friendly. The experience was great. The City is actually blue guys.
