A special place ideal for those seeking an authentic Berber village experience. If taking a local transport from Boumalne Dades, just ask your driver to drop you by "Amazir hotel." It is located by the main road. Host Hamou is incredibly kind, offering endless tea and hearty meals, even with minimal English—his gestures and kindness speak loud. The terrace has breathtaking views of rock formations, and the village below. Close to hiking trails, it’s an ideal spot for immersing in local life and taking a break from typical tourist routes. I stayed three nights and wished for more.

This hotel was perfect for any budget traveler! We had a private room with a window (!!) and a private bathroom. The view from the rooftop was perfect. It’s in a good location, not far from a couple of nice restaurant that overlook the gorge. The breakfast was phenomenal - it was on the rooftop each morning and so lovely. The owner is genuinely kind and so helpful. He gave us dinner and took us to the bus stop when no taxi turned up. For the price, this place really was a 10/10

About 10km from the famous road view point. If you don’t have a car that could be an issue. We met a local woman took us and I’m sure the owner would be able to help out.

Our stay at Maison d'Hote Amazir was simply incredible – a one-of-a-kind experience that left us in awe. Uncle Hammou, with his expertise and warmth, immersed us fully in nature, making our stay unforgettable. For those seeking a genuine connection with the real life and culture of Amzir, this is the place to be. It felt like home with my family, and Uncle Hammou's hospitality went beyond expectations. He took us on a captivating two-hour hike into the mountains, revealing unique landscapes and hidden gems. His approach wasn't just about hosting; it was about treating us like family, not customers. Uncle Hammou has become a part of our family, and Maison d'Hote Amazir is not just an accommodation – it's a home away from home.

I wish I could have stayed more

After 3 weeks in Morocco, it is safe to say that our stay at Monsieur Hamou was the absolute best! He made sure we felt at home from the very beginning. The place has so much to offer and even though we had 3 nights here, we could easily spend a week more! We had the absolute best breakfast and dinner here with the most scenic view of the monkey fingers right from the terrace. Hamou took us through a spectacular hike through the canyon and showed us places we would not have been able to go by ourself. We can only recommend it to anyone!

Homely accomodation with a very nice and attentive host. If you look for something authentic and don't need luxury this is a perfect choice. The room is simple but decent, it is very helpful that it has some hooks to hang stuff. On the rooftop terrace you have an amazing view over the village and the beautifully shaped rocks. Close to the house many paths lead to the green fields, the river and the rocks - you can do a lot by foot. The host is happy to show you around to a gorge, a canyon and the monkey fingers. Breakfast was good, especially the berber omelette and also the tajine and couscous were delicious. Generally a calm and stunning environment and we'd definitely recommend planning in several days for the place!

Location is perfect with a view of the mountains, easy access to the trails on the farmlands and the canyon, and a five-minute walk to the local restaurants for inexpensive meals. Lots to explore in the immediate area. Comfy bed, lots of hooks on the wall which is always great for hanging stuff. Consistent hot shower and easy to regulate. Breakfast was delicious and included an omelette. Hamou is a good host, made us breakfast at a time of our choosing, surprised us with mint tea some afternoon, and even a dinner one night (They have a food menu available also). He has a low-key, calm and quiet personality. Wifi was fine for browsing. We took the local minibus to the zigzag road for 4 dirhams each.

For the price, nothing to complain about. On a very windy day you might catch a smell of donkey, but you're in the farmlands, it's part of the experience. Our room was the one at the lower level, the temps and bed was plush and comfy. Another guest there said his bed was stiff. You could probably ask to see.another room if the bed is not to your liking.

I loved this place. Kind people, great views from the rooftop, great wifi so I could also work online. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. And it was in a nice village with amazing views of Monkey Fingers. Not close to the headtrail through the canyon but still walkable. I absolutely recommend this place very nice.

Outstanding. The host is incredibly welcoming and warm, and the whole experience was just a delight. Abundant breakfast, with a bountiful cooked egg dish (very flavorful) plus bread, spreads, and drinks. Comfortable room and bed, with plentiful pillows and blankets in the cold months. Lovely terrace. Very near to the trailhead for the Monkey Fingers canyon which is highly recommended. Outstanding value - what more could you want?

Terrific all around - no complaints.

Great host- welcomed us with the famous moroccan tea and some treats. The place has a fantastic view from the terrace. Here we had the best breakfast of the whole stay in Morocco- great egg tajine!

The room was a bit basic but we expected that and it was very cold- the warm blankets however did the job.

The view from the terrace in the Dades Gorges is astonishing, in front of the monkey fingers. The host is one of the kindest person we met in Morocco, really available and gentle! The rooms are clean and bed comfortable, very typical structure. Food is very tasty, both the dinner with tajine and the breakfast with the view. We really enjoyed! Thank you!
