This is a beautiful and fascinating hotel. It is constructed around a former bullring. The public spaces are beautiful and you get a sense of history just walking around the property. The restaurant is terrific. It would be difficult to beat their breakfast anywhere in the city. Be sure not to miss the bar which are made from the tiny enclaves where the animals would have been kept. All of the staff and service are excellent at what they do.

For such a fascinating city, we expected the concierge service to be much better. The front desk staff tried their best to give us information for tours and restaurants. But their services were a bit lacking.

The hotel is amazing! It's an old bull ring as indicated in the hotel description. An old aqueduct passes right by it. The whole atmosphere is rather charming. I arrived on an early morning flight. They let me check in right away as they had a room ready- though the actual check in time is 3pm. Throughout my stay I found the staff very friendly, kind and efficient. I have to make particular mention of Rebecca at the front desk. All of the requests I made to her were efficiently followed through. I also asked for a late check out on my fourth day (had an evening flight). She checked to see if there was availability and allowed me to stay on. She is also fluently atleast bilingual (English & Spanish) from what I saw. The other person I have to mention is the person in charge of the breakfast area. The breakfast that's included in the room rate is a continental style one with bread, fruits, coffee. I was curious about the Mexican fare they had on the weekend buffet. He practically helped me prepare a taco with yesca- walking with me the stations to assemble all the components! So on Sunday I went for the full buffet, paying ofcourse the difference in price. The room was pretty big and the bed was comfortable with a good variety of pillows. Very good housekeeping services.

Nothing really that would prevent me from staying here again! If I have to come up with any downsides... The rooms are not soundproof, but again the location is not noisy. One night that i went to bed early there was some noise from traffic and I used earplugs. The hotel is in the center but not right at the plaza de armas. On a map it is a short walk, but you have to climb up and down a hill.

Property is beautiful, and well located.

The bath tub saw better times; it had dark /calcium stains.; we didn’t receive the usual courtesy in the evening, on our past stays had evening maid coming to arrange our beds, leaving chocolate and a different book mark every night, we missed that.

The building is a restored very old bullfighting arena, I had the sensation of being in a movie. Everything was so beautiful with a lot of history and art around. The best part was all the staff, very friendly eager to please any request.

Because of all the bad news about the unsafe town, we didn't plan to stay longer. Zacatecas has excellent museums, restaurants and the city is walkable enjoying Colonial sites.

One of a kind hotel in the beautiful city of Zacatecas. What a treat to stay in this hotel that was built on an old bull ring dating back to the 1850’s. The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant had excellent dishes, and the bar built in the old bull pen was so cool. I have never taken so many pictures of a hotel in my life. The hotel is centrally located to the plaza that has restaurants, shops, museums, and much more. If you are in Zacatecas you have to experience this hotel at least for one night.

Rooms are a bit dated.

Everything cool. The 24hs business room and the breakfast are amazing! Also, the bar inside the property is great. The view, the location, the building itself and everything was awesome. The cleanliness also really really good.

Beautiful property… old world charm… front of the house staff (reception) was WONDERFUL.

Waiters at breakfast were NO WHERE to be found and when they appeared they were rude and condescending. Also, the cold water handle in the bathroom sink was inoperable.

Everything and everyone! I felt valued and respected, their staff and culture is amazing and welcoming.

The town is dangerous at night.

This is the most amazing, historic building. It’s been beautifully converted into a hotel. Such an absolutely cool place to stay. Just a tiny walk into the most historic section in town. Very close.
