I enjoyed so much my stay in Maison Royale that I even extended a bit my stay. It was not only super convenient to be in the very centre of the city, but everything inside was so nice and comfortable. And the personel was very friendly and ready to help. I also found the price actually quite good, especially givent the fact that I was travelling in the end of December, and that it is the core of the city. It is good for me now to know where to stay next time I go to Belgrade.

Only one small thing. When taking shower, a little bit water runs outside the shower. I think a bit better seal of the shower enclosure would solve it (at least in my room), so that water doesn't run outside the shower. But this is really a tiny problem and I also don't know if this issue even exists in other rooms.

What was good: * Nice and helping staff. * Location. (The main pedestrian zone in Belgrade. Major tourist destinations in walking distance.) * Awesome breakfast (In the next door restaurant with a la carte selection from 10 diverse breakfast meals with 2 drinks included.)

What could be better: * The stairway is the only way to reach the reception and the room.... The lift would be appreciated. * Arrival with the car and parking. (Hotel is in a pedestrian zone, so you need to stop the car in the next street, bring all your luggage, drop you car to the underground parking lot, return and continue with check-in... On the other hand the staff is very supportive during the whole process and provides all necessary instructions prior.)

Breakfast is good. Location is in the center, 2-3 min from Kalemegdan. The stuff is always available. We got free uprade to deluxe room.

Toilet was not cleaned when we arrived. Bathroom have glass door that don't close all the way so there is no privacy. There is coffee machine that is not working. AC is not adjustable (maybe it is adjustable), but after 10 tries, i didn't manage to change room temperature. There is no elevator in the building, so keep that in mind. There is no hotel parking, but in nearby parking garage, you can park (40E per day which is expensive a lot).

The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The rooms are tiny, but comfortable, I slept like a baby. One thing that was quite surprising to me was that it was pretty quiet, knowing the fact that you are truly downtown, in the very heart of Belgrade. The hotel has it all, and if it doesn’t, they’ll make it happen. Everything is so close from this hotel and I will miss being here.

Hmm… the only thing that I would really prefer would be more space inside the room. Other than that, there is really nothing else.

The location is perfect and the lady at the reception was very kind and competent. ☺️ Housekeeping was pretty good.

The view from my window (single room) facing the facade and the smell from the kitchen chimney when I opened the window. It was hot in the room and I didn't want to turn the AC on so I slept with open windows. Also the room is very small, I had a hard time opening my big suitcase. And through your doors you can hear everything that's happening on the hallway, especially other guests slamming their doors.

The breakfast was outstanding! The selection, the quality, the taste and volume were excellent. One thing we had a hard time with in Serbia was that you can smoke everywhere inside restaurants. At least this restaurant had a non-smoking section, which we were always seated in. We did not smell the smoke when we ate our breakfast. You can sit outside at this restaurant but you can smoke outside as well. And it seems like A large part of the population smokes in Serbia. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Only a block away from the fortress and right on the pedestrian street. It’s also at the corner where the free bus shuttle stops. What we loved the most was the staff at the hotel. The front desk staff were exceptional, extremely friendly and beyond helpful. They answered all our questions and always had a smile and a friendly attitude. We thank each and every one of them for making our stay so much more memorable. We can’t remember the name of the lady with the blonde hair but she and Tamara were the ones who mostly helped us and they were exceptional.

First of all, the employees are very interested.We asked for a round-trip transfer.The drivers who accompanied us both times were very polite and punctual.In addition, the people at the reception were extremely helpful.We constantly talked about how interested the people at the hotel were when we returned from our holiday.The hotel was clean, we stayed in a balcony room, the view was great.The hotel smells like fresh at the entrance. We did not have breakfast but there are so many places where you can have breakfast that we chose one every day.The rooms were cleaned and tidied every day.There were 5 hours between our departure time and our flight time, the people at the reception offered us to leave the suitcases themselves, which I think is a very nice thought.We generally found the Serbian people moral and decent.This hotel was a pleasant part of a nice holiday.

The hotel is at a great location! Exactly at the city center and next time Kalemegdan! The room was clean! Plus pet friendly!

At night there is too much noise from outside! There is no parking and the one that the hotel recommends is not actually close, especially with luggage! For breakfast you pay at the hotel and take a coupon for the restaurant downstairs but with this coupon you can eat only breakfast from a special catalog and not from the main restaurant s catalogue, long story short I don’t recommend to pay for the coupons, you won’t earn any money! The room is small!

Maison Royale added to the wonderful experience I had in Belgrade while visiting a friend. The location is the best you can find in the city center. I loved stepping out of the hotel and have cafes and shops nearby in this beautiful road. Even it was right in the center as there was no traffic is was so quiet in the morning with birds singing in the trees in front of my window. Only later there were the sounds from the cafes people enjoying themselves. But as I did the same it was fine. Anyway with windows closed and a good working AC it was perfect. Another mention deserve the super nice ladies at the reception. Always smiling and polite doing their best to make my stay memorable. Also the cleaing ladies kept my room perfect. A nice surprise were also the 2 hotel drivers who were so friendly compared to most taxi drivers in Belgrade. And they spoke good English. I really can recommend this hotel and will for sure come back. ❤️

There is no elevator as the hotel is in an old building which is protected ... which is also a good thing. Luckily my room was in the first floor.

the location was excellent, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. we had an inner yard room but still with a big window.

they charged us in Serbian currency. we didn't like it because in booking.com the price was in euro and they used their own exchange rate which was lower than the current rate so in a way we have been charged more. It's not about 5-10 Euros but more about transparency. we didn't like that they didn't even bother to explain to us what the exchange rate was, how much we were paying in the Euro, etc. before I asked them. If this is the case, the price should be visible in this currency in booking.com too.
