Great stay at Mamba Point Hotel in Freetown. The staff was superb and I would particularly recommend a driver named Umarr who provided with me excellent service during my stay. Ask for him at reception.

Friday night to Saturday morning the next-door casino, which I believe shares ownership with the hotel, played extremely loud music, and I could not sleep until they stopped around 04:00 A.M. This should be advertised by the hotel so guest may choose a different hotel if one prefers to sleep. The manager apologized, and I was given a small voucher for a meal (at the casino's restaurants...).

I have stayed at 4 different properties in Freetown and this hotel is by far the best.First,overseas visitors may be anxious about security in Freetown. There is security on the gates to the property and also 24/7 at the hotel entrance. So I felt totally safe. The room I occupied was spacious comfortable with a very pleasant view over the sea.Breakfast was very good and the service cheerful and respectful. The receptionist who assisted me in particular when I returned to the hotel following the last minute cancellation of my flight back to the UK was excellent. She was sympathetic cheerful and supportive. The proximity of the restaurant nightclub and Casino would be a particular attraction for visitors who may be anxious about walking out of the hotel at night. Lumley Beach is 5 minutes away and I enjoyed walks on the Beach most days I had a massage which the hotel organised …again brilliant! This is the best hotel in Sierra Leone and I would not chose to stay anywhere else.My thanks to the management and staff

Reasonable Price: MPH Hotel offers a significant advantage over Home Suite (HS) and The Lead (TL) with competitive pricing. The cost of my stay was budget-friendly, with excellent value for money. This affordability allows me to enjoy a comfortable stay without breaking the bank, making it an attractive option for travelers on a budget. In contrast, HS and TL may have higher price points that could deter budget-conscious travelers. 2. Great Breakfast: One of the standout features of MPH Hotel is its exceptional free breakfast offering. The quality and variety of breakfast options provided during my stay were remarkable. The hotel likely served a diverse range of delicious items to cater to different preferences, ensuring a satisfying and energizing start to your day. In comparison, HS and TL may offered such a delectable and diverse breakfast experience at a cost, making MPH Hotel the superior choice in this aspect. 3. Clubbing and Restaurant: MPH Hotel's provision of both clubbing and restaurant facilities adds to its appeal. The convenience of having these amenities in-house allows guests to unwind, socialize, and enjoy a great night out without leaving the hotel premises. The presence of a nightclub suggests a vibrant nightlife scene, and a restaurant with high-quality cuisine provides a diverse dining experience. In contrast, TL may not have offered such entertainment and dining options, making MPH Hotel a more well-rounded choice for guests looking for both relaxation and fun. 4. Great Staff and Management: The exceptional service and management at MPH Hotel significantly contribute to the overall positive experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and accommodating, going above and beyond to make your stay memorable.

Nothing I did not like about the hotel. The efficient management ensures that the hotel runs smoothly, addressing any issues promptly and maintaining high standards.

This property does approach five star level, something many hotels in West Africa advertise, but rarely achieve. Service was personal and warm. The adjacent restaurant was great. The views sublime.

Really no problems with the hotel per se. Just a warning that the Sea Coach Express to the Airport is neither Express nor very comfortable, although the price charged might raise expectations.

I booked a Sea View room, which overlooked the bay on which the hotel sits. The view was quite lovely. The room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was eggs made to order, assorted pastries, cheeses, some vegetables, beans and bacon. Its easy walking distance to Lumley Beach Road. The beach has a lot of trash, but it is nice to walk along. The restaurant associated with the hotel was excellent, though of course a little pricy. There was also a casino and dance club, but the noise wasn't bothersome. With the windows closed I didn't hear a thing.

The pool was cloudy, not clean. I would have very much enjoyed being able to swim.

Very welcoming staff, going the extra mile to accommodate requests. Had been staying in home suites most trips before, but was disappointed sometimes with a lack of flexibility there. For someone who travels very often, small things make a difference (like finding me a big cup for my morning coffee).

The little 1 seater sofa in the room was uncomfortable, and the beds by the pool could use an upgrade as well. But other than that, all fine.

Great quality breakfast with a large variety of international fresh food, comfortable conference room facility for up to 10 people with beamer free of charge, facilitation to use hotel land cruiser with driver free of charge for specific short-trips within Freetown, very accommodating with requests.

A standard business hotel of medium size, equipped with a spacious restaurant (with a large terrace) and a casino (I didn't try the latter). Half of the rooms face seaside with a beautiful view. The shower was terrific! It's very quiet during the night, since the hotel locates at the point of seaside. Considering the hotel offers in Freetown, this one is a safe bet for the value of money and the comfort level used for foreign guests. The management team is very attentive to guests' needs as well. The hotel manager has patiently advised me how to navigate the city, and lent me graciously the hotel car for more then 2 hours with chauffeur since I could not find one. The breakfast has a lot of varieties, and the service team has done a great job to serve clients and maintain the buffet fresh and clean. The room for breakfast is very pleasant as well, with a nice view of the sea and the swimming pool.

This is not about the hotel, but a general point about ferry transport from Freetown to Lungi airport. You need to leave the hotel at 1pm for a flight at 7pm. That's a lot of time wasted, but it's the ferry schedule. Be aware of the time needed to reach the airport and the hotel, and plan it in advance. Reach the hotel to ask them for help if you need. They will swiftly provide information and help you to arrange the pickups. The hotel offer graciously the transport from ferry terminal to hotel, and the ferry tickets are at your charge.

The staff really went to every effort to make everything as comfortable as possible. Very smooth airport transfer, I was carefully assisted throughout everything on arrival including getting a SIM card and getting on to the ferry. The view from my room was beautiful and everything was clean.

Mamba Point is Home away from Home. I loved the room with a seaview, the food is Nice. People are welcoming. It's a wonderful place to stay 😊😊😊
