We would really appreciate coffee in the unit for the morning as well. That we didn't book for more nights :)

I had the pleasure of staying at this cozy and delightful accommodation. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a valued guest, and the kindness shown by both the host and Ever-Joyce, the assistance truly made this a standout experience. Moreover, Ever-Joyce was an absolute gem - her warm hospitality and helpfulness added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The breakfast was also freshly made and filled with goodness. The host is incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

I loved the peace and quiet...relaxing on the loungers by the pool...fabulous view of the Hottentots-Holland mountain range. I had asked for 2 single beds as I shared with my son, and was delighted to get a room where there was a completely separate attic room. The owner came to chat at breakfast. The staff member who received and served us was a joy.

I did make a request regarding being gluten intolerant, which was never acknowledged.

The house is a restored farm house.Tastefully redecorated without loosing its rustic charm.Set In idyllic surroundings at the foot of the helderberg mountains. The overall estate has a history that goes back to Simon Van der Stel one of the earliest Dutch settlers and first Governor of the Dutch Colony. The owners managers and staff are friendly giving the place a home away from home feel.

There were no negatives I loved the place . I only wish I had more time there.

Very efficient and friendly service. Nice of street and secure parking. Felt very safe as a lone traveller staying here. Big cosy fire in the lounge when I woke up. I was sad I couldn't stay to try out their breakfast next to it.

The zircon/heater was not working, it would have been better if staff had checked this before I arrived as it was freezing and it took a while to sort out, but left a very happy customer with a great night sleep.

Breakfast more than expected for a Continental Breakfast. Nice view of mountain from balcony. Close to meeting places. Staff warm and approachable. Nice to have Dutch manager chat over breakfast.

Toilet seemed to have a slight leak into bowl. Needed to arrange space on coffee table to use laptop and access wall plug. Concerned that shower drain may have been partly blocked, but it did subside shortly after use. Steep stairs may be a problem for older people. Bit difficult traversing with suitcase. One had to be careful at night walking from car park to main house as some parts were uneven.

We booked into self catering

There can by small carpets on the side of the beds and at the toilet. The concrete floor is quite cold. There were no air freshener in the toilet. Otherwise a wonderful place to stay

conveniently close to venue

the breakfast really wasn’t worth the R125 it was very underwhelming, the fruit salad was overripe and not enjoyable. the scrambled eggs were watery, 1 piece of bacon and the 1 sausage was the size of my thumb. the toast felt like it had been made 3 hours earlier and the butter tasted like blue cheese. I’ve also had better coffee at Wimpy.
