The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was very good. The team was quite efficient. It's an old hotel and offers the best it can within the environment.

The water flow in the shower is way too conservative. The hotel is outdated and could do with some areas being upgraded without loosing the history, but it's nothing that affects one as an individual, esp us, who are passing through.

It is a beautiful grand old hotel with lots of antiques and memorabilia in the corridors and halls. It has a lot of character and there are many very stylish rooms that were destined as meetingrooms and so on. A lot of beautiful woodwork, furniture, paintings, old photographs from the good old days. Architecturally it is a gem. Moreover Middelburg has nice old buildings and it has the oldest church in South Africa. Apart from the stylish rooms it is also a very comfortable hotel.

The park was closed to the public and very badly kept. I wonder who is taking care of the whole town. It shouldn't be too hard to keep it a bit cleaner and keep the park open and have some guard looking after it and maybe close it at night. Just shutting it off completely makes the whole town look derelict. Isn't that what lord-mayors are for, to keep some kind of maintenance guys at work? Too bad, because the town of Middelburg has some nice historical buildings, well worth a visit!

This is my home Town and the Karoo Country Inn was still as beautiful as always. Warm Hearted people true to Karoo nature. Great value for money for a Family, really safe and comfotable. Rooms are beautiful and spacious with all the creature comforts. The Hotel boasts with Heratige and Culture and the food is hearty and delicious.

Heavy traffic of Trucks in the main road outside the Inn but does not effect a good night's rest.

The place looks even better than the pictures on the website, Its well kept and beautiful. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was also bigger than expected. The food in their restaurant was nice.

The location, safety is a concern, but atleast they have private and secure parking.

The only thing I can really complain about is the TV channels. Mostly sports channels with the SABC and E channels being distorted. Cold water taps run very slowly also. But the good food at the restaurant downstairs and the friendly staff make up for it. Will stay there again.

Only 1 TV channel to watch other thank sports and that was nickelodeon. Also cold water pressure.

The place was clean, the Aircon worked well, nice to be in an old town and building, well maintained piece of history.

The parking was good but perhaps someone should manage it as someone had parked in a way that blocked everyone from leaving, I had to ask the reception lady for help. She said he wasn't even supposed to be there.

The room was comfortable and warm during the cold winter nights we were there. On the inside of the establishment, the facilities very neat.

Front of house, on arrival, was extremely helpful, efficient and friendly, but further than that, we were left to our own devices. I, being physically compromised, had to open and close the gate all by myself.

The peacefulness at the place, the provision of lights when it's loadshedding, I was welcomed with a big smile by kirscha very friendly. Rooms are beautiful, bathroom

I understand the setup of the place, but when you enter from the back you can smell that the furniture it's old it doesn't give a pleasant smell, the couple room had two single beds instead of one double bed

Facilities are a bit old but then the hotel is an historic one. Appreciated the renovated and upgraded bath rooms

Is my second time I stayed at the inn and there is a lot of improvement, I hope they will improve more to be exceptional. I will come back again because of Value for money. Spacious bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. I traveled 800km with my family and we arrived past midnight. The plus is the staff member Cleodine Reeners waited for us until our arrival to accommodate us.
