I was due to travel over the weekend where the heavy snow was expected so I had booked in advance to check in the Friday. Overnight the snow got worse and I was able to book last minute for accommodation. Although the demand was high due to people being stranded the facility was still able to accommodate me and my baby sister for an additional two nights. This spoke volumes as they considered our safety during the storm. The staff were friendly and very helpful. From reception all the way through to cleaning staff.

Not that I did not like anything, I only have one suggestion - I stayed over the first night in the budget room which was kitted with a microwave - on my next two nights we booked in the executive room however it did not have a microwave facility to warm food. The team was very helpful with accommodating us by allowing us to warm our food in their personal facility - I recommend that perhaps a microwave should be part of the facility for the executive room as opposed to the budget room. Other then than there is no issue with the facility and I will always book on my halfway trip to Durban moving forward.

I was sent a WhatsApp a few days before welcoming us. We were greeted with a smile. We were checked in promptly. We needed one night stay for a sport event and we just needed a clean safe place to sleep. We left before the office was open so you just drop the key in a box at the gate

The toilet was leaking so it would make a noise to fill up often so I just closed the water to the toilet for the night so we could sleep

Very simple clean accommodation. We needed emergency stopover due to impending bad weather. Village Lodge is conveniently situated on the top of Van Reenen about 800 m from Bergview one stop. Quick access to and from N3

This is not meant to be a beautiful place with character. It’s meant to be appropriate, clean and comfortable. It met these requirements

I liked everything about village lodge. I'm from KZN. So I appreciated the quietness in and around the place. Friendly staff. Neat room I'd booked myself into, very cozy. Lovely scenery 👌🏽 The only thing I forgot was to take pictures ! Otherwise great place, highly recommend it and also very affordable even when I asked to bring someone to share the room with me, the rates weren't bad at all ! Thank you Village Lodge for making my stay in Harrismith a great one.

Everything about their services and the room was clean, fresh clean towels and hot water, warm electric blanket and clean bed shits. Best place ever.

They don't serve breakfast at the premises and they don't have more time TV channels to watch, it's only a free eTv box set, so according to me, they really need to upgrade.

It is very close to Busamed Hospital, which was ideal for me as I had to work there and could walk there. The rooms are clean and well maintained with all the essentials you require for a stay over.

The unit was very neat and well equipped. Ample space.

The unit was unfortunately located no where near the described location given online. We had to travel in the middle of the night with very bad mobile signal to find the unit. The parking was not next to the unit either. I also forgot my pills at the unit. No one was able to assist me in the location and return of my pills.

The ony complaint was that the eectric plugs were in the bedroom and the mirror was in the bathroom. Not helpful for women when drying their hair. Don'tknow how to rectify that there are no little tables by the bed so everythingis is by the window

Very comfortable, simple rooms, which were absolutely perfect or a one night stop over on the way up from Cape Town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and parking was right next to our room which was very convenient for us.

Room was very satisfactory, only suggestion would be a mat/carpet in the room on the cold floors but other than that the heater did keep us warm.

Clean, neat, basic & no frills, yet comfortable. There is ample safe parking. We could store our racing bicycles in a big store for safety.
