I think this was the third time I have stayed at Rivonia. I love the staff, who are always so welcoming and accommodating, and I love the rooms which are large, well equipped and very clean. It’s also very useful that the property has a driver, who I have used for airport pickups and day trips to local markets. I also love that there is a restaurant on site - it makes life so easy when you just want a quiet night in.

For me there isn’t much that I don’t like. It’s slightly out of the way of people and places that I like to visit but I think this is offset by the property’s other redeeming features.

Everything - Staff extremely friendly & helpful, Breakfast was delicious and well prepared. The room was comfortable, the fridge was not fully stocked when I arrived, but when I left a note for the lady servicing my room she ensured that she had stocked the fridge that day. The underfloor heating was a lifesaver, especially coming from Durban to your chilly winters in JHB.

The WIFI signal in room 12 was not that great, at times I had to hotspot off my cellphone to work. This could have been due to the weather. The fridge could have been restocked everyday - this was not too much of an issue for me, but for other guests it might be.

The breakfast is always great - lovely variety of fresh fruit, cereals, muffins etc and a hot breakfast selection as well. Cheese and cold meats were a little less than I remembered but still a fair selection of options. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The location is convenient for all our needs. Fillitah is a wonderful host and manager.

Breakfast very good you get what you want! Room very quiet Birds wake you up in the morning. Everybody very attentive and friendly. Garden and pool small paradise.

Small thing the refridgerator always humming and working needs replacement

This accommodation provided us with cozy and comfortable beds, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also went out of their way to assist us in any way possible, making our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the value for money was exceptional, offering affordable rates without sacrificing quality. Overall, a highly recommended accommodation experience.

There were very few to no aspects that we didn't enjoy about this accommodation.

Rivonia is a familiar location to me in Johannesburg, and the Rivonia Premier Lodge provides an excellent facility in a convenient, attractive and secure location. I chose the Lodge especially because it caters for the current rash of loadshedding in Johannesburg by ensuring that laptops, TV and lights all work during this time. The Lodge also has an excellent breakfast and the rooms are comfortable with good facilities.. I will use it again when I return to Johannesburg.

This place is such a beautiful oasis in a big, busy city. We've had a very relaxing stay enjoying the outdoor pool and watching the birds while eating breakfast. Staff are generally very friendly and helpful. Food is very goof and rooms comfortable, clean and characterful. We hardly noticed when "load shedding" power outages took place because they have backup power for all essential appliances.

The WiFi was a bit unreliable - I know this is true for many places in Jo'burg but it did make work Zoom calls I had to make a little difficult. To their credit, there are multiple networks to connect to, so that when one goes down you can use another - it works well enough for emails, social media, booking activities etc. fairly well.

The setting is great and the staff are wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was very good nd the breakfast staff very accomodating

If you want to watch TV in your room then go somewhere else. Out of 9 nights i only managed to watch TV 3 times and could not choose all the channels. Kept on getting error messages

The garden is beautifully manicured, trees and birds in abundance. Staff is friendly and attentive. Dinner was exceptional. My husband was staying at Sunninghill Hospital and they arranged transportation for me to visit. Comfortable bed, very clean room, large patio and inverters so I had no issues with load shedding. Great value for price, I extended my stay.

The generally outlook is great, trees well maintained. I have to single out the house keeping team for a great job. Kudos to Mirriam who was cleaning my room, she would give it her all, 10/10 for her.

The food was generally OK, The location is good but not easily accessible, some gates to the location were closed which made it difficult to access.
