The unit was quite spacious, with a well-equipped kitchenette. The sofa and coffee table creates a nice living room atmosphere and there is even an additional table that could be used as workspace by business traveller's. This a perfect self catering unit with the added bonus of rooms being serviced daily. It was located right by the pool and also close to the restaurant that has amazing sea views.

There is really not much not to like. This venue seems to be very popular for companies who host events/conferences and all the entertainment areas (restaurant, bar and pool area) can get quite busy and noisy. It does take away a bit from the tranquil environment. Other than that, everything was great.

The location - close to the beach - fairly quiet surroundings (children on the playground just outside our unit) The sun rise & Sun sets were stunning

Not really anything to not like - however they could improve on the units perhaps getting air conditioning units - or at least a few ceiling fans would help as they were very hot during the day and only opening / working windows on one side - so no through breeze. Every morning a walk on the beach was very SAD and disheartened by the dead baby seals & birds laying there - Saldanha community needs to do something about cleaning this up everyday - its a not good for tourism.

I was only booked for one night. The place is beautiful. The room was very big and clean. I travelled alone and I felt safe. I think the place is perfect for group travel, whether it's with family or with friends.

At check in, they require 500 bucks in case you lose your key. I didn't know this and I don't know if it was mentioned in any of the correspondence I had prior o my arrival. I didn't see it. Anyways, you can use your credit card and they put a old on the amount. A credit card not any other card. So I produce my credit card as I did not have cash, I don't carry cash. So the lady a reception calls the manager o assist as my card was not written credit card on it. So I told them it is a credit card. The manager said no they can't assist. She was rude and dismissive, offered no solution. I had to log into my banking app to show that the account is a credit card account. I found that interaction unpleasant. The only interaction I had with staff.

We loved absolutely everything at Blue Bay Lodge! It was the perfect place to just relax. From a delightful (halaal-friendly) continental breakfast at the beautiful restaurant, to having a dip in the pool, a braai for lunch at your cottage, lounging at the bar area, overlooking the beautiful bay, having dessert and a coffee and then a walk on the beach as the sun goes down. And then finally creeping into those crisp sheets for the best sleep. The staff is truly the heart of this resort.... did everything to make our stay the best! Thank you!

Well, my wife and I were blown away. We wanted a place where we could just relax and be spoilt. The awesome ever so friendly staff surpassed our expectations. So helpful so very friendly and always have time for you. Our room was perfect, the huge bed was one of the best mattresses we have ever slept on. Very clean and we felt safe!!! The garden was beautiful as was the sea view. The food was great with quick service and attention to detail. I could go on and on. We loved this place so much so that I booked again for another visit in 2 months time, just this time, a longer stay. Thank you to all you awesome people at Blue Bay Lodge Saldanha, see ya soon !!

What a great place to spend a weekend! The staff were great, room was very clean and was much bigger than expected, fitted with a full kitchenette and lounge area with an outside patio leading directly to the pool and tennis court. Room service was excellent, ordered food from the restaurant which arrived swiftly. Overall one of my favourite places I’ve stayed. I’ll be back.

Room front doors could use some sound proofing as you can hear people coming in and out at night late into the evening.

The Breakfast bun was delicious.

We took a walk on the beach and came back the other way. However, on arrival we couldnt go through the gate. I called reception and she said they cant open it I have to wait for a car to come out or in. I was a bit annoyed and told her when will that be, she said she doesnt know, I just have to wait. That's when I got upset and said they should put up a sign to let us know that only cars can enter and exit the gate. She then said she'll try to get the maintanance guy to open the gate he has a way how to open it. He came and opened it. Imagine we left our cell phones at home. I think they should put up a sign to say only vehicles can enter and exit. We love our morning walks, if there was a sign we wouldnt have went that way.

The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and helpfull. Especially Chanay.. She was helpfull and friendly from the day before we arriving as i had some questions. She was super helpful and professional and on our meeting on our arrival her personnallety shined. Food was good and surprisingly not pricey. Room was super clean and bedding fresh. It was by far one of my best stay.. I do not do the same place twice but would certainly concider a nother stay with friends in one of your stunning self catering units. The fact that it is pet friendly is a creat bonus.

It is not that it bothered me, but I did feel like there is a bud aura in the reception area. I cant say i had a bad experience. I do feel they could be more friendly. Except for the reception area witch should be friendly, i can not complain about anything. Bar staff, cleaning staff and restaurant staff tops. There was how ever an woman that came out of the reseption area who was very friendly, said hello and smilled as walked pass. I do not feel the 2 yunger receptionist has the personallety to work front desk. It felt like i was talked down on. I felt very uncomfortable.

Tranquility at it’s core, to wake up and hear the ocean for the week was everything my mind and body needed. The venue is between lovely places to visit in the West coast, which made the week rewarding. compliments to the chefs for the tasty wholesome breakfast and the meals we enjoyed in the evening. It was a great pity we missed the Saldana mussels that were sold out on our stay. professional staff from who served us with great courtesy and respect, it was a mother and daughter experience and we enjoyed it immensely thank you.

The shower in room 162 needs some work done, I will not put the blame on the facility but the load shedding the water was not that hot.

We were absolutely blown away by the amazing views and accommodation. Our absolute biggest highlight was the amazingly friendly service we received from Barman Jacque. He was an absolute pleasure to have around! The food was lovely! The drinks were perfect! You will definitely be seeing us again!!!! 😁

The only thing we missed was a little bar fridge in our room to keep our water bottles cold. Other than that, everything was amazing!
