The location is fantastic, right next to Boulders Beach, making it easy to access the promenade by the Boulders Visitor Centre, where we saw plenty of penguins in the park. In terms of facilities, it was comfortable as well. Our room had a fridge, hot showers were available even late at night, and when the WiFi wasn’t working upon our arrival, they quickly fixed it after I reported the issue.

Our room was located at the back, so unfortunately, there wasn't much of a view. Additionally, if you don't open the windows to air out the room, it can start to smell a bit musty. This happened to us on the second day, so even though we were concerned about mosquitoes and the cold air, we had to keep the windows and door open for a while to refresh the air. The room was equipped with a small fan heater, which wasn’t quite enough when it got cold, but still better than not having one. We kept it on throughout the night since we visited during the winter-spring season. Another issue was the payment. Although I had selected the option to pay upon arrival, my card was charged before our trip. This was frustrating because my friend, who lives in Johannesburg, had intended to pay in cash.

Breakfast was not included in the price but here was a dining room with microwave and cutlery hot water, tea and coffee. The staff was nice and very helpful. The place has a great location and you can walk along the pathway along the beach and see all the penguins. you can even see them in the parking area.

All was great. 2 things to point out though : we gave our clothes for laundry and they must have dried it at too hot temperature because my partner's cotton polo shirts came back 3/4 of its original size. The bathroom does not drain easily and you end up ankle deep in water when you shower and also it the window in the bathroom lets wind in and it makes it uncomfortable when you shower specially when it is windy, rainy and cold outside.

Everything was up to standard.. And we thank you💯❤️.. The view coming out by the door.. The peace and quietness.. Perfect! We loved it! The staff very friendly, understandable.. Made us feel quite at home for our first time.. We shall definitely come again☺️👌

My partner planned to watch the bokke, we didn't plan to watch over the phone, so ya we missed a good game. We thought cash would be manageable, not just card used machine only, but we understood. We wanted to braai but ya the weather didn't allow us, we already spend money on meat and stuff, we all know the cost of living is so high.. No secure place to braai though..but Thank the Lord we had cash on our cards to still buy food.☺️🙏

Such a very cute and well maintained hidden gem directly at Boulders beach. The vibes are just the relaxing, easy going beach vibes you wish for. In the evening you See penguins walking across the parking. You have sea view from the café which offers delicious little snacks, coffee and softdrinks during the day (closes at 5pm). In less than 2 minutes you are at the Boulders beach entrance, so you can easliy enjoy an early morning swim (possibly with penguins) or an early evening swim before the day ends. I would highly recommend to stay a couple of nights there and Just enjoy the amazing atmosphere and nature.

Two very minor remarks, the rooms dont have aircon, so it can be quite warm during the night. And the other small point, as I didnt have a car, I couldnt really reach any Restaurants nearby (closest was the Seaforth restaurant ca 800 Meter away).

The rooms were very clean, well equipped and met with expectations. View was amazing. The lady that greeted us was super friendly and helpful. Parking was no problem, I am not sure what it will be like during peak season as I know it is a very popular spot. There seemed to only be 3 parking bays. The beaches and penguins were within walking distance and really beautiful. Just remember if you as a SA citizen to take your ID with you to obtain your special rate.

The food in the cafe was very expensive and not that good. I would probably not eat a meal there again. Coffee and pancakes were nice.

It's in the name--if you want to stay by the penguin beach (Boulders), there's no closer option. You wake up, walk out of your room, and you're in the beach's parking lot. You can see a penguin within three minutes of walking easily. Has a café and a shop attached so one-stop for all your penguin-holidaying needs.

The rooms varied in size and quality; in our party of six, the two rooms with full-sized beds had a decent amount of room and a desk, whereas the one with two single beds basically only had room enough for the two beds side-by-side.

-The location of this hotel is unmatched. The entrance to the popular Boulders beach is from its parking lot. If African penguins are the reason for your visit then there can be no better place to stay. We did not get affected by any penguin stink that is popularly spoken about - we didn't smell anything other than the usual ocean smell. -We were welcomed warmly by the host and were shown around the property/room. -The room (Standard Twin Room with Courtyard View) was good enough for our stay duration - ie.. 1 night. For a longer stay, perhaps a bigger room would be better. -Interiors do require some upgrades like better windows and blinds, but nothing too harmful. -The bathroom was very spacious and neat which was a comfort, basic toiletries were provided. -A fridge with a milk bottle and tea station was provided in the room, which was great. -A standing fan was provided, but no AC. It was the first week of November but felt okay. -We did not take any meals in the hotel, but the exterior sitting area looks very inviting. -The curio shop is well-equipped -We did an extremely early checkout which was easy (informed the front desk during check-in) -Wifi was good

-Need more plug points. Not enough for a camera and phone and laptop and fan altogether, felt very crippled. -Security felt less compared to surrounding hotels. -Late in the night heard a loud brawl ( assuming drunken, we did not understand the language ) right outside our door with someone banging our door ferociously. We did not open obviously, but the incident was scary.

I did not have time to enjoy the breakfast in the hotel, but it all satisfied me that once I checked in at the reception, was told that time for breakfast is serving from 8:00 to 11:00, this is more than I had expected and customer-friendly.

No nothing I did not like, everything in the hotel is perfect, all rooms were well sorted-out for me and my friends and our family-members, all keys were well arranged in our rooms and all service details were eco-friendly and the point is, the hotel offers guests the best sea-view.

- Amazing Location (quick stroll to Boulders Beach & walkway), the most exquisite views - Phenomenal, professional, friendly staff (we were really impressed - great teamwork, seamless handover from one shift to the next) - spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms (we extended our stay and were fortunate to be able to experience 2 different rooms). Rooms are true to photographs advertised - which was refreshing. - great coffee bar & curio shop on site (TIP: sadly, it closes at 5pm) - Excellent wi-fi - great value

We were very sorry that we had to leave (heh heh)

Thank you for taking care of your beautiful hotel, the whole hotel is kept so well which shows us guests it's done with love and pride. Watching out for specials again as our stay was to short only had 2 days - 4 days would have been perfect but we could only do 2 nights as south African retired citizens. Honestly congrats on your staff and making us feel so relaxed is pure bliss. Thank you everyone
