Staff was very helpful in swapping our rooms to a more suitable ones. Cot and roll out bed were nicely set up for my two little kids. Excellent location if visiting Boulders Beach (20 min walk, we felt safe both ways) or the Cape Peninsula. Also good restaurants across the road to eat at. Parking just outside.

The room felt a little tired Luckily didn’t affect us, but no backup generator for load shedding. Baboons in the area, we met a few in the evening and they are quite intimidating, we felt like we were in Jumanji. Car needed a full wash after parking overnight due to bird poo.

The location was mesmerising. The view from the balcony was beautiful. You could see the whole harbour, and it it right on the historical Jubilee Square and the heartwarming statue of Just Nuisance. You have easy access to a legendary delicious Salty Dog plate of fish&chips. The staff welcomes you like family, with great big smiles. You are offered a welcome drink while you check in. Checking in was a great experience. A convenience store and pharmacy is in close walking proximity just across the street, over the cute penguin crossing. Everything screams WELCOME, WE ARE GLAD YOU ARE HERE. In the room, the bed was large and comfortable. The linen was good quality and super clean. I had a great night's rest.

Mmm... I hate to say anything negative, but the floors could have been a bit cleaner. One walk across the room floor without shoes proved it. The carpets coming up the stairs had some stains and needed a thorough clean. Although I loved my stay, I would have liked for the room to be soundproof. The early morning vendors outside on the Square do make a bit of a racket, setting up their stalls, and guests checking in and out can clearly be heard at the front door. I would also like to have seen hotel signage up outside. It was a bit of a lucky guess finding the entrance. That said, I would most certainly go back, again and again. It was worth every cent.

Location is great. It is based right by the jetty where there are multiple restaurants, including Fran's Place which a must go to restaurant! We were lucky to also see the Navy Parade the night we stayed there which was great. It is a very cute hotel.

There is not really anything we didn't like. The hotel and room was good value for money, we got what we expected and we were able to explore around the area well which was the goal. Cape Point/Cape of good hope is about a half an hour drive away, which is a world famous destination to go see.

The view is amazing, the rooms are clean and modern. So many nice restaurants just outside the hotel, there was no need to use the car during our stay. We spent our anniversary here and the staff specifically (Ruhshana and Carmelita) went out of there way to make it extra special for us. We'll definitely be back and recommend this this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Simon's Town.

Unfortunately our table from our balcony had been removed due to damage from the wind however we were provided with a nice coffee table to use instead.

Very friendly staff. Room had a great view. Loved the fact that the water in the hotel is in glass and not plastic bottles. Close to shops with great take away and sit down restaurants very close. Definitely try the Korean Takeaways. Food is fresh and owner very friendly. Bakery down the street with the best ever pie's. Nice museum's and historical places to visit. Also close to Kalkbay with nice little shops and art places. Try the fish at Kalkies where the locals eat...cheap and very fresh.

Because of the restaurants right underneath the hotel it is very noisy. No inverter or generator for loadshedding. We had a total of 10 hours loadshedding per day and that was very inconvenient with no internet and tv. Floors was not very clean. Be careful of the baboons, can't leave windows open when not in the room. People working and repairing the boats are very very noisy with grinders. Seems like people only stay for two days and then move on. We booked for a week but ended up only staying for three days.

Excellent staff very friendly and welcoming from reception team to housekeeping. Very nice welcome on arrival with a glass of sherry with a lovely lady! Large comfortable room with a lovely view of the harbour. Good breakfast that could be ordered to the room.

There could have been a bit bigger bathroom and more wardrobe space. There is no bar on site but a restaurant just below in the building complex which is open every day called Berthas which is where breakfast is served.

The view is the most spectacular view which makes me want to come back a third time. It is so tranquil and the light changes each time you look outside onto the harbour. The breakfast was scrumptuous, and the room perfect. The staff went all out to make my stay first class. They were so quick attending to my request for the wifi, and presented this on a beautiful postcard of the Boulders' Beach penguines. I felt like a happy tourist in my home town.

There was nothing I didn't like or love, only the price rise that is happening later this year.

Breakfast was great, and the view from my room was absolutely breath-taking! The staff was pleasant and made an effort to tell us a bit about the town's history. The bed's are also nice and comfy; I would definitely stay there again.

The black marble tiles in the bathroom could do with an occasional scrubbing to reduce the accumulation of efflorescence. Otherwise, everything was very clean.

Central hotel in a great location. Very nice view from our balcony. Bed was comfy and linen and towels very clean. Lovely staff who were very helpful. There are baboons around the town which visit the hotel so be aware that you might see some on your balcony.

We paid for breakfast but it wasn't really worth the money as it was often cold and on the last day we didn't even bother to turn up. View from the table right by the harbour was amazing on a warm Sunday morning - wish the food had been warm.

Great accommodation in Simonstown near the Harbour, lovely room setup and close to many amenities. Comfortable and clean room, and superb view onto the harbour.

The WiFi was poor and didn't work very well and I was disappointed we were not provided a torch or lamp during loadshedding. There was an emergency activated light which came on however it was only active for a short period (less than 30 minutes) and thereafter we had to rely on our phone torches. The emergency light also came on during the early hours of the morning when the loadshedding occurred again which woke us up. I would strongly suggest equipping rooms with a torch or something along those lines, so guests can navigate the room when it's dark and there is no electricity (lights).
