The design of the hotel is really very nice. It is trendy without being overly so. It is cosy and it is tasteful. The staff is helpful, kind and very professional ! The restaurant truly is very good ! It was a pleasure to have dinner at there. The food was super tasty and well presented. We are foodies so we thoroughly appreciated the quality of the food, the seasoning, and freshness of the ingredients. The hotel’s location is superb ; next to trendy shops where local art, crafts and products are on display. The hotel is walking distance from the penguins and from the beach !

Nothing everything was perfect !

We only stayed one night and didn't spend much time in the hotel or the room itself. In any case, the spacious terrace facing the street was great, from where you could watch the baboons going about their business in the evening. I think it's a good option in Simon's Town and I would probably stay there again.

The room seemed a little outdated, but somehow it suits the hotel and adds to its charm. As the restaurant is closed on Mondays, only a very basic breakfast was served (this could be mentioned in the description). The rooms are a bit noisy towards the corridor, but that wasn't a problem for us.

Absoloutly Eveything: Put the Willits hotel on your bucket list! What an amazing experience! We were blown away by the hotels fabuous facilites, all the personal touches that made us feel so special, the exceptional rooms, gorgeous bathrooms, the creative and classy decor and the most delicious food at an incredible location. But most of all it was the friendly, warm and welcoming staff that made this experience totally unforgetable. From the moment we arrived to time we departed we were treated to the best service we have eperienced in all of our travels. Thank you Willets Hotel for a truly memorable stay. Cant Waite to come back!

A very comfortable stay in an historic building with modern facilities. The 42 steps to the attic room were a challenge for ageing limbs but well worth the effort. The downstairs area and adjoining courtyard were great places to sit for breakfast, lunch or a drink before going out for supper. The generous size of a slice of cake with afternoon tea was enough to mean it could be easily shared. The staff were most helpful and a pleasure to chat with. We were able to secure parking right outside as people left for the day and before the evening crowd turned up.

What a beautiful inviting hotel. It was our wedding day and arrived around 20h00pm where the staff member waited for us outside. Tendai welcomed us and saw to our needs before we settled in. We were greeted by the manager, Emmie, the next morning and congratulated us on our wedding. She surprised us with strawberries dipped in chocolate and had made a rose petal heart shape on the bed. This was so endearing, and we loved it. The breakfast was amazing. The staff, together with Emmie, are amazing. They made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Emmie is bubbly and passionate about her guests and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable. The hotel is beautifully decorated inside and in the courtyard, and on Sunday, they had a pianist who filled the ating hall with soft and beautiful melodies. This created a relaxed atmosphere. Emmie made sure that we were informed about all the best spots to visit during our stay. We also felt safe and secure, and the hotel also has health care insurance, which is a big plus if we need it during our stay. We will definitely recommend this beautiful establishment to our family and friends. And YES, we will be back. We'll done Emmie and the team for making our stay memorable♡

The only thing that we would suggest is to have a spotlight on the name of the hotel as it is not visible during the night.

Great location - don’t think you could get much more central and yet you feel you have your own space and privacy. The staff were fantastic (Emmie, Monica and Alex were all amazing and went above and beyond - special thanks to Alex for help redressing my grazes (accident before I got here) - so much better, thanks) - everyone made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble, like a home from home. The rooms were awesome - very large comfy beds, high ceilings, great showers and very tastefully decorated. There are loads of clever touches around the hotel and the whole effect is very relaxing and welcoming. The breakfasts were amazing, each of us including my partner’s Mum had something different and we all commented on how delicious the breakfasts were. What can we say apart from Wow, this is a gem of a hotel - the only regret we have is that we only had one night here. Thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay so special - we will be back :)

I personally loved the fresh ocean breeze flowing through the hotel along with friendly faces greeting you at every corner, ready to help in any way they could. Our bed was super comfortable and the room was absolutely stunning. The facilities were super clean one could almost see your own reflection and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely divine. The Hotel was situated perfectly, we did not need to travel as everything was in perfect walking distance and dispute this the hotel had transportation ready in case we wished to use it.

The only downside was that the hotel did not have a means to cope with loadshedding.

We booked for 2 nights and was welcomed by the manager, Emmylou, who provided many suggestions for our trip. Even though we were originally from Cape Town, she had lots of tips for our visit in Simonstown. We saw Alex and this colleague mostly during our stay and both were always pleasant & helpful. On the 2nd day of our stay, there was a burst waterpipe in the whole of Simonstown meaning that there was not a drop in the taps until the following day in the afternoon. The Willets hotel provided us with 5L water bottles. They catered for all our needs and ensured that we had a good trip. Finally seeing the baboons walking in the street was a bonus. Hope to see you next year.

We loved the warm welcome that Emmy gave us! We stayed in 6 different hotels in the Western Cape and the Willets was the only hotel that really made us feel special during our honeymoon – besides the bottle of sparkling wine, the chocolate strawberries, and the rose leaves that were placed with love in our room, Emmy also welcomed us with the words “there are my honeymooners”, which we found so sweet. She also gave us valuable information for our stay and provided that personal touch. There is parking right across the street, which was very convenient. We also loved the location as it was very close to many of the attractions, such as Bolder’s beach, Kalk Bay, etc. We preferred the location over the hotels we stayed at in Cape Town.

Our room was facing the street, so it was a bit noisy.

Emmy and the rest of the staff were amazing and gave us lots of suggestions for activities and food/drinks. The breakfast was very tasty and there is a great outside courtyard you can have it in (weather permitting). The view we had from our room was incredible and definitely worth it, and we liked the architecture and feel of the entire hotel. Great location for walking to boulders beach and a short ish drive to the cape of good hope or muizenburg and kalk bay further north.

The rooms aren't entirely soundproof, but it isn't bad at all. The baboons gave us a wake up call at 5am but I won't be blaming that on the Willet's!
