Enjoyed our comfortable stay on the way to the Kgalagadi from Cape Town. Lovely to be on the Orange River and hear the fish eagle calling in the morning. Lovely setting on the river bank with warm beds and off street parking. Every thing one needed for self catering but we did venture off to Orange Rivers Cellars tasting room for supper as there was load shedding, but lamps and torches provided if we had wanted to stay on our deck. Little details like mugs set up in cupboard for with coffee sachet and rusk for each person that made us feel welcome

Very comfortable bed, fantastic shower, clean and modern room. Located on the river, which is especially nice in summer. Central location and secure. Good value for money

Our room (standard double room) was on the small side, the bathroom generous and the "self catering" facilities are limited to a microwave, basic cutlery and crockery, with hardly any room to prepare any food. The garden looked a bit sad, maybe because it is winter, but we have seen better in Upington.

Location on the river bank was superb. It has everything you will need whether self catering or not. Thanks for the chocolate!

Flood damage has affecting the hotel grounds but does not affect your stay.

WThe host was pleasant She advised us about where we could have dinner. We wanted take away and she left out crockery and cutlery so we could enjoy the dinner at the premises. We slept well and interacted with another guest who seems to have also enjoyed his stay.

I wish they had breakfast. It would have been awesome.it would have given us an opportunity to spend more time on the premises and enjoy the facilities more.

Staff was very friendly whilst checking us in. The view from the Lapa rooms were out of this world. I will gladly stay there again. Highly recommended. The rain and thunder made my day :-)

amazing location, fabulous views to wake up to, very large private deck area overlooking the river, staff extremely helpful & excellent attention to detail

a very minor point, bed was a little uncomfortable, I would have preferred a larger bed which the room can accommodate.

The view from the deck was mesmerising. On the river.

The other room on the deck might be a little too close for comfort if you are not travelling alone or in a group. But the view and location makes up for it. We were there alone and it was perfect.

i dont like 5 star accommodation, rustic is great. nothing to complain about here.

Privacy on a languid river bank. Very comfortable outdoor space. Lovely host. The young man in the front lot washed our car, which was very nice. We tipped him of course!

It occurred to me that the large sofa created a bit of an awkward obstacle in moving around, but I suppose it is handy for larger groups.

Stunning location on the bank of the Orange River Staff always very friendly and helpful Rooms are well equipped for all basic needs (aircon etc.) Have had multiple stays, never disappointed
