Check in literally took one minute, not sure why people complained about this. Huge room by any standards with spacious bathroom, shower and hallway wardrobes. Desk to work at or put on makeup was useful. The single beds were almost as big as the double bed! Easy to drive to with basement parking- very convenient. Very nice to have a screened window to let fresh air into the room- Korean hotels don’t seem to allow you to control the room temperature which we found with plastic mattress liners and polyester quilts to make for hot sleeping, so the cool night air really helped!

For a buffet the breakfast was underwhelming, not as many options as Japan or Europe; only black coffee available and empty dishes took a very long time to be replenished. We booked 4 people but only got 2 towels each time, which is strange.

The room was well furnished. Most of all we appreciated the safe and the two pillows. There was also a large TV in the room. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool and a spacious two new looking saunas in the basement. One for women and one for men. The sauna was anything between 70-80 degrees. There are a couple of sights right near the hotel, so as tourists we didn't have to travel too far. All we had to do was walk out of the hotel and start exploring the varied streets of the adjacent village. Some of them had the occasional performance, and in some we found things like a museum of soju rice liquor production.

The staff were nice, the decor was pleasant, the view from our room wonderful. The hotel was in the middle of upgrading its elevators, which meant there was only one guest elevator in service. However, the staff elevators had been made available and were a short, well-signed distance away.

The only thing that we thought could have been better was that we had a shower over bath. Although the bath had an anti-slip finish and there was also an anti-slip mat provided, needing to step over the bath rim gets more difficult as you get older. Other than that, the bathroom facilities were good.

We booked a family room (two double beds) for 1 night and the room was excellent value for money. The hotel is at the edge of the traditional area and is large, modern and comfortable - very predictable. Yes, you have to pay extra to use the rooftop pool. We spent almost as much to use the pool as the cost of the room! The 2024 hotel guest rate to use the pool is 18,000KRW (off peak), 23,000KRW (semi-peak - when we visited in June), 30,000KRW (peak season). I think non-hotel guest charge is 50,000KRW. There did not seem to be a time limit of two hours, we entered at 4pm and were told we could stay until it closed at 9pm (there did seem to be limits on re-entry though). The pool and pool area are nice. There were chairs and some sun loungers free to use. Lovely views over the village. If you don't wish to use the pool, the room only is great value. If you want to use the pool, factor in the additional costs into the room rate and enjoy!

Paying extra to use the hotel pool facility as a hotel guest is difficult to understand as this is not standard in EU.

Perfect location and... perfect view! You wake up in the morning looking above the whole Hanok Village and if you are lucky with the weather, you can even see the sunset on the village :-D Very comfortable room, bed and chairs. Friendly staff. It all contributed to make our stay in Hanok Village very pleasant.

I just cannot think of anything so far! ;-)

The location is excellent right by the Hanok Village. The rooms are big and comfy with a decent shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is good and well equipped. The outdoor pool is lovely BUT you have to pay for it (see things I didn’t like)

Having paid a lot of money to stay there I am appalled that they charge £10 per person for limited time in the pool. I have never come across this before. There is no restaurant, the pool cafe stays open in the evening but very limited food (hot dogs or fried chicken). There are plenty of restaurants around but we were surprised no hotel restaurant. Breakfast is limited if you prefer English style (although accept that British tourism is probably limited so sort of get this!)

Large rooms overlooking the traditional Hanok houses with plenty of space to open our luggage. Big bathrooms with amenities and separated shower and toilet area to keep the area dry. The lobby was large and connected to the hanok houses through the back door, which made it convenient to explore. The staff was friendly and helped to store luggage when we arrived before check-in time.

Unlike other hotels, there was no place to refill water in the common area.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, check-in was fast and smooth. The room was very nice, clean throughout and had a beautiful view of the hanok village, amazing at sunset and night! Location is great for sightseeing around Jeonju. At first, I regretted not staying at a local hanok guesthouse, but this hotel was a good and very comfortable alternative overall!

Location good, size of rooms good. Good selection of food at breakfast. Clean and polite staff

Lack of space in room to hang clothes and no drawers to put clothes in. I was there for a week and it felt like I was living out of my suitcase. Lack of evening restaurant and room service is not good for a hotel wishing to cater for international visitors. Having to pay to use the pool as a resident doesn’t feel right and a bit petty
