room was spacious and clean. Facilities were sufficient with convenience store, restaurants and gym which were all well equipped and maintained. Hotel also had a newly opened ski store which had ski equipment rental and discounted tickets for yongpyong ski. great deal and staff were very sincere and helpful!
no shuttle bus running on our first two days (last 2 days in nov) which landed us a long travelling route to the hotel.

This review is geared to travelers like me who have never been to Korea before. Location. Tiny dot on map that says Pyeongchang is more than an hour taxi ride from where the Ramada is and Olympics were. Pyeongchang is a large mountainous geographic region. Gangwon is the right town. Jimbo is the closest train station. The Ramada Manager lived in Chicago and speaks fluent English. Other staff try their best. Room is big, chic, has a loft and really big view. Instant coffee packets in room, cups, kettle, sink, heat, Japanese toilet, elevators, shuttle to ski areas and train sta and costs less than my 3rd floor walk up hostel room in Itaewon Seoul. Coffee shop in lobby. Complete ski gear and equipment rental next to lobby. Convenience store, pool, gym and restaurants on lower levels. Don't hold me to price: Hotels tend to change rates depending on local events. I stayed 5 nights over the holidays. You might have to have hotel call you a taxi if shuttle times don't work. I had to find a taxi back from the ski area. Dog park, dog treat cafe and livestock farm is the only tourist thing nearby. Happy dogs.
Glamping available but my dog park day was the only warmish one. Most days were normal cold winter. One day was so cold the coffee shops were full of skiers. Bring Arctic weather gear or expect to go clothes shopping.

I liked the ski rental shop , they had everything you could possible need , the staff in particular Jaeyoung Jeon were extremely helpful and looking after our needs ( they even helped us order food on the take away app) ,always greeting us with a smile . The ski rental shop had better prices for equipment rental , ski / snowboard classes , ski lift passes ( compared to the ski resort we went to yongpyong) . The ski ( Jay ) and snowboard instructor ( Bill )were very good and professional .
The food court was very poor , the fact that the sauna and gym was closed Tuesday/ Wednesday . I would highly recommend to eat either in yongpyong resort or just Oder take away .

The room was big and comfortable, lovely hot showers for after skiing. The hotel also has a range of Asian restaurants downstairs (including Korean bbq, Japanese, fried chicken etc) as well as a CU convenience store and coffee shop. The staff on reception were so helpful to sort booking our ski passes and we hired ski clothes & equipment from the rental shop in the hotel lobby. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus from the train station and to the slopes - only 10 mins on the bus to the ski resort. Everything was really well organised, efficient and great. We would definitely stay again.
The breakfast was expensive compared to other food options so we didn’t eat it.

The room was spacious, clean and warm (during December). It got a little bit too warm but then we were able to leave the balcony doors ajar overnight to get the right temperature which was perfect! The room service was great and the service of staff overall left us leaving with an amazing experience. The amenities were excellent especially the sauna after a long day of snowboarding!! We felt so relaxed and refreshed after.
Not a complaint but as an FYI the bus transfer times to get to the ski resorts were limited but that wasn't a massive issue as booking taxis were easy and not expensive at all to get anywhere (i.e. downtown, ski resorts, train station)

I am happy that I chose this hotel to explore the ski resort. There is a shuttle bus to the resort, train station and bus station, which is very convenient. The rooms are large and there is a place to dry clothes after skiing. cleaning service every day There is a hill next to the hotel, which is a great place for a walk.
The only problem was that the room was very hot and the temperature went up automatically and I could not turn it off. I solved that problem by opening the door to the balcony

The room was spacious and clean! The beds were super comfy! The bathroom was clean and came with a tub (though we had not used it). There are some nice restaurants in the basement along with a kids' zone and a gaming center.
Everything was fine, except for the kindness of the front staff & the view of the room. We made our reservation a couple of months early (probably 2~3 months before) and requested a room with a good view since it was said that every room had a mountainous view. Somehow, the room we got didn't have a mountainous view! If they had told us to bring a pair of binoculars, we would have brought one to enjoy this so-called mountainous view! LoL! The front desk staff was not friendly! Most offensive were the staff that worked at the CU in the basement! Both the lady and the gentleman who worked there were very rude.

The property is a traditional Korean Hanok and as such you roll out mattresses to sleep on the floor which in winter is heated and toasty warm, our kids loved the experience and it was perfect for our family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids. Breakfast was warm Korean soup, Kimchi and pickles which was simmered for 24 hours on the outdoor stove in the centre of the Hanok which also fascinated the kids. The location is exceptional, in the centre of the cultural district near the palace, museums and lots of excellent restaurants it’s also a 20 minute walk to Kwang Jang market and along the route there are street food stalls a must if you like to try local food.
The mattresses were a bit hard for me but the excellent hospitality, location and beautiful traditional house totally made up for that. Take your own pillow.

Decided to stay as part of our driving trip around Korea and this place was so relaxing we upgraded our room and stayed another night. High recommend the café and Alpaca farm just a short walk from the hotel. The spa/sauna was just what we needed and the arcade room was also a bit of fun
When we tried to extend our booking reception told us there was no rooms available, so we then went on Booking.com and booked a room! Seemed weird but hey we got to stay longer which was all that mattered. Not many vegetarian choices from the restaurants in nearby.

I booked 9rooms for this trip. Hotel arranged all rooms on the same floor without request. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My family member was injured and with their help we got an ambulance promptly and staff even offered to extend our check-out time the next day without request. Will recommend this hotel as it is less hectic compared to the ski resorts like Dragon Valley and Alpensia. If the shuttle service to ski resorts can be more frequent, it will be extremely beneficial for guests . Will definitely recommend Ramada.
