This modern, clean hotel was ideal for our stop over while we visited Gibraltar as part of a larger trip around Andalucia. We were given a friendly greeting by the staff and welcomed by a beautifully smelling lobby. Parking was explained and easy to access with dedicated bays for hotel residents. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a well stocked bathroom. Breakfast was very good, a largely cold continental buffet of excellent quality.

For us, the location of the hotel in Algeciras was good for visiting Gibraltar for a day trip (we stopped at the hotel on the night before and night after). The area around the hotel did have a rather unpleasant smell - perhaps a result of the docks and industry nearby and it was a good 20 minute walk to reach the main square where some bars could be found.

I booked AC Marriott Algeciras as a stopover hotel for the ferry from Algeciras to Tanger Med. Due to a pre-booking, the price-performance ratio was very good. The hotel is very conveniently located for onward travel by ferry, the ferry port is just under 6 km away. If you are traveling by car, you can park in the hotel's underground car park, if necessary; a restaurant is also part of the house. My room was clean, big enough and the furnishings corresponded to the standard. Although the hotel is located directly on a very large roundabout, it is perfectly insulated and you would only hear noises with the windows open.The team at the reception was nice and helpful. I would book the AC Marriott again.

I liked the room itself, very modern. Very nice choice of toiletries. Also the location is good, 3 minutes by taxi from the bus station and 10 minutes walk to an amazing (amazing) beach with Gibraltar view. The receptionist was very kind too.

Please provide a kettle in the room. I just do not feel comfortable walking to reception desk every time l wanna have hot water, tea or coffee. It seems like you do not trust your guests with the precious tea bags or capsules 🌝

The front desk clerk when we arrived and departed was excellent. He was extremely informative to all the questions we had about getting to the train station and getting on the ferry. We had high anxiety about dropping our car and getting to the ferry and he alleviated all anxiety. He was very efficient, informative and friendly. Exceptional employee

Someone had been smoking on our floor. It permeated into our room. I believe it was the housecleaning staff member in the supply closet next to our door

Lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms and a wonderful, standard European breakfast. Room was great, and exceeded our expectations.

Location isn't great, but then, Algeciras isn't your typical tourist town. We only stayed here to access the ferries to Morocco out of Tariffa. Hotel had parking, but they were "full", so we parked on the street a few blocks away. Not a big problem. Check-in clerk was a bit gruff about parking and offering directions, as if "it wasn't her problem." Still, perfectly comfortable, short stay.

Everything was great. The room looked modern and clean, super comfy bed, air conditioning system was very effective and silent. We got a room at 4th floor with windows to the internal side, so it was very calm even with the open window. Underground parking is also provided. Perfect quality for such reasonable price.

I woul assume that the rooms with windows to the street should be slightly noisy as the hotel is on a quite busy street. But in terms of our stay everything was perfect.

The rooms of the hotel are spacious, modern and the beds really comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly and because we had breakfast included but needed to leave early in the morning, they even prepared us a little breakfast bag for the travel. Parking was easily accessible with the key card from the room and felt very safe, as it was under ground and there was a metal gate. To exit/enter the parking by foot, we used the car exit/entry (Took us a while to figure that out the first day).

However, the rooms were not very clean. When we arrived, everything was a little dusty and even after the daily room cleaning, the floor wasn’t very clean and neither was the bathroom. We also had some mold in rhe shower. Breakfast, even though it was okay, was not worth the 4 stars. The choice was very limited with little to no vegan options. the cheese and ham were tasty, but even at 7 in the morning, they were already sweating because they were not cooled. The bread was often stale, which the toaster could help with, but still. The location is also not great. The hotel is located next to a busy road and also next to a night bar. The bar plays loud music at night, which kept us awake, together with the poor isolation, and very very loud neighbours.

Hotel is clean and the position is strategic for visiting all the surrounding area (if you have a car). Rooms are big, and complimentary water in summer is a nice touch. Breakfast is good (could be more varied) with Nespresso machines for coffee. Car parking is in the opposite building, with spots of different sizes (from tight to mid-sized, but large parking spaces are nonexistent in southern Spain). Good A/C

Breakfast could be more varied, and the lack of scrambled/fired eggs in the buffet is strange. Bathroom ventilation could be better (if you have wet/damp clothes it takes a long time to dry).

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had good selection and quality. The staff was very helpful and suggested great dinner options.

I thought the listing indicated beach access. There was not beach access. I could see the Rock of Gibraltar through the heavy dock equipment. The beach access was my only complaint.

The breakfast was really good. Was good to have free parking. It was good to have a mini fridge in the room.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room or access to hot drinks all day and not just at breakfast time. It would be good to have a lock on the bathroom door of the twin room.
