Lovely rooms in an historic building right in the old town of Arcos. Staff were super helpful. The views from the restaurant and the terrace are fantastic.

When we travelled there was major construction work going on in the square outside the hotel. Not at all the hotel's fault, of course, but it made parking more complicated than it would otherwise be and also caused a bit of noise. Once that's finished, I'm sure it'll all be back to normal and much quieter.

The corner room we booked had the most spectacular view from our private terrace! Breakfast is very generously proportioned, and we appreciated the option to have it in the room (which was large and comfortable). The Parador itself is a charming small boutique hotel—there’s a beautifully tiled courtyard with a small fountain and a well, and of course the wonderful views from the restaurant terrace. We loved our stay and would certainly book again!

Spectacular views

Very difficult to get to. There was no parking or valet parking so once you had driven to the top through very narrow streets and off loaded your luggage, you had to drive back down again! Park in an underground parking and then wait for a bus to take you back up the hill! This whole procedure took another hour and had to be repeated the following morning when we checked out!!!

Spectacular location perched on top of a ridge upon which the rest of the historic town spills in either direction. Our room had a spacious balcony which afforded panoramic views over the mostly agricultural rolling countryside. Beautifully restored historic building, plentiful windows, gracious hallways and common areas indoors and out. Quiet rooms. Fabulous regional culinary offerings at breakfast and dinner. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting - hotel itself, patio with view of countryside. Everyone on staff were helpful and pleasant. Food and wines were great.

Not within the control of the hotel, the piazza/square in front is being completely reconstructed and our view from room was onto contrcution site.

The hotel is all about the location and views out over village or valley. Interesting small old-town - very Spanish. Room was good size and recently renovated. Note! Although built in old-style this is not one of the ancient Parador establishments that is often expected and does miss a bit of atmosphere that comes with the quirky old buildings they are often located in.

Was missing a decent bar to use in the evening. Not usually an issue when in Spain but Arcos is a small place and doesnt offer a significant range of evening options.

The situation and the staff who ensured we had an excellent stay

Parking is an issue. Very narrow approach to the parador and only 30 minute drop off time slot. Have to park in Arcos and take luggage with you. The parador is at the top of a steep hill.

Fantastic position and our superior double had an excellent sunset view over the valley from our balcony. Location in the town is excellent with so many bars and restaurants to chose from.

The parking is a nightmare as the streets are very narrow. It’s best to,park in the underground parking at the entrance to the old town and either walk up or get a taxi. We decided to drive only to find there were no spaces in the square where the parador is located. However the Manager of the hotel who had just finished his shift guided us down through the narrow streets to the car park. He was very helpful and we were so grateful.

The view from the terrace was absolutely amazing! It was stunningly beautiful!! We booked very spontaniously and still got a very very nice room, with a beautiful view and a wonderful bathroom! The staff is very friendly, too, and the breakfast buffet was great. It is the ideal place to really relax, enjoy your time, your trip and the beauty of Andalusia! We enjoyed our stay to the utmost!

Although it was newer than many other Parador properties, Arcos de la Frontera still captured the feeling of historic and classic charm. Beautiful rooms, wonderful dining room with views, and the spectacular terrace provided a peaceful and luxurious environment.

Our air-conditioning was intermittent at best and essentially nonfunctioning.
