The staff was very attentive, and the hotel’s amenities, such as the spa and pool, add to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat with the best of Barcelona at your feet, we highly recommend the Gran Hotel La Florida offers the ideal combination of quiet seclusion and city access.

While Gran Hotel La Florida offers a stunning experience with its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere, we did encounter an issue at check-in. Upon arrival, the staff initially tried to assign us a room that was of a lower class and smaller than the one we booked through Booking.com. This was disappointing and something to watch out for. However, when we brought it up with the reception supervisor, he promptly corrected the situation and moved us into the family room we reserved. It’s worth noting that while the issue was resolved quickly, it’s important to confirm you’re getting the room you booked when checking in. Despite this hiccup, the rest of the stay, especially in the correct room, was fantastic, with excellent views and a peaceful retreat from the city.

Our stay was amazing, every single person who works at the hotel was extremely pleasant, attentive and truly caring. We felt at home and definitely recommend the hotel. The city views are breathtaking and the service is exceptional.

The location of the hotel is a little bit distant from the city centre, but it’s only a 15min cab ride there so it’s not really an issue, plus the room views wouldn’t be so incredible otherwise.

The location is absolutely spectacular. The hotel has a wonderful relaxed vibe. It is such a special place to be. Staff were extremely friendly. The swimming pool is the most incredible thing I've ever seen. The outdoor pool is heated. It was when we were there in late march anyway. The rooms are absolutely beautiful . Fantastic experience.

Breakfast was expensive for those with small appetites. All we wanted was coffee and toast, that was €25. Would be nice to have just a sandwich on the lunch menu, only a club sandwhich which was very expensive.

Amazing views and while a long way out of town, taxi service was good and it was quiet plus rooms were spacious compared to what you can get in town.

Too far from center city.

The hotel is set on the hillside overlooking Barcelona city. Spectacular views. You must rely on taxi's if you are wanting to visit Barcelona itself. There are no local cafes/ restaurants so you eat in the hotel. However, we did note a guest using uber eats. You are made to feel so welcomed on check in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable with wonderful views. Very comfortable bed with L'Occitane toiletries and a well stocked mini bar. Tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary bottles of water. The cuisine is superb and the restaurant staff take great pride in what they serve you. The breakfast is multifaceted from cold meats, fruits, bacon, eggs to cava and churros!!!( I loved the potatoes and onions!!!) And they serve the best expresso!!! The pool area is clean and very stylish with a private lift for hotel guests to access so you don't walk through the hotel in your complimentary fluffy robe and slippers. The hotel is on the pricey side compared to others that we stayed at near las rambles but we don't like city noise or crowded areas and you pay for what you get, which is exceptional quality with the finest of standards from the staff, food and facilities but without being pretentious. We won't be staying anywhere else!!!

We arrived early in the morning--way before our check in time. We had intended to store our luggage and go out exploring, but we were told we could check in right away. We were offered glasses of the local cava wine and made comfortable while they prepared our room and took our luggage up. We booked a terrace room with a view and it was spectacular! The views are amazing! We were able to eat a quick brunch before catching a cab to to into the city of Barcelona. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Rose' assisted us at checkin and with several other things. She is very personal and friendly. She was able to secure us another ride and refund after our scheduled ride did not arrive. She talked about things to see and do in the city and we enjoyed her company. Pedro, Dani, and Mariano were also helpful to us in getting us change and taking care of little things we needed. We ordered room service and it was SPECTACULAR! It was such a treat for us. A large variety of food and large portions. We also ate at the Poolside Restaurant. It was wonderful with a great view of the city and bay of Barcelona.

Everything was amazing. There is nothing I would change. For those who are light sleepers, the hotel is at the top of a busy road, and there are many scooters zooming by which may bother some.
