It was a nice hotel in an up and coming area - which felt safe for us to walk around at night. We only used the restaurant for breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed as there was plenty of choice. It did get really busy, and on occasions the staff struggled to keep up with demand - despite working really hard. My daughter is coeliac (gluten allergy), and they catered for her at breakfast. There was minimal options, but enough to satisfy her - bread rolls, cookies, and muffins (if I remember correctly).

It was a shame that the pool wasn't heated, as we would have been able to use it more, even though the air temperature was cool when we visited in late October. The room was very small when four people were staying in it - family room which contained a double bed and a sofa bed for our two children.

great breakfast with good gluten free options, pool was freezing which i liked as it meant that it was quiet.

Breakfast not included and very expensive when you had it there. Also nothing provided in minibar complimentary and it was very expensive. Not even water provided. When we stayed at Novotel Paris late last year everything was included in price

The location is very good, close to the city and the beach. The staff were very polite and helpful, 10-10 for the staff. The breakfast was also good.

The room is not for a 4 star hotel. Not provide a welcome bottle of water, not have a small nespreso type machine only a boiler for hot water and nescafe. The picture at the room when you choose it is showing that is available a small sofa but has only 1 chair at the desk (the other person has to seat at the bed) When arrived to the floor was under renovation (painting) we thought that they sent us at the wrong floor at first. Wasn't nice and the smell of the paint was very strong. Also at our room the safe box & the hair dryer was not working but we reported and they fix it immediately.

This hotel has a convenient location, cozy and spacious rooms with panoramic windows, and a delicious breakfast. The staff is very friendly, especially the woman who helped us change our room to one with a better view.

However, there was one receptionist who didn't help solve issues and just wanted people to leave. When we asked to change our room to a city view (we had a wall view, but booked a city view), she falsely claimed those were presidential suites. We saw her doing the same to other guests. It was strange, but luckily, the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful! Thanks to them for their hard work!

Good location and great value for money - a few metro stops from the centre of town but we walked it in about 45 minutes quite easily. Roof top pool was great for the kids after a day's sight seeing. Good choice at breakfast. Sometimes had to queue but never for long. Clean room and communal areas, and good service at reception.

The sofa bed was small and uncomfortable. Our children are only 10 and 12 but it was still a bit small. Also, they could feel the springs - the first night we put towels under the sheet which helped and then I asked for an extra mattress topper. Not really good enough quality for a Novotel. Also, I agree with other reviewers, there aren't enough lifts, which I know is a hard problem to solve, but is an issue as the rooms don't start till floor 7 and then continue to floor 18, and there are only 3 lifts.

Centrally located, close to public transportation, major attractions, and shopping areas. Well-equipped rooms with modern decor, and comfortable beds. Excellent Breakfast with various options, including local dishes, fresh fruits, and pastries. Welcoming staff who provide good customer service.

While it offers stunning city views, The rooftop pool is crowded, smaller than expected, and not very clean. There can be long wait times for the elevators. The view from the room.

I got a complimentary early check in which changed my entire experience. I was able to rest properly. The breakfast was pretty good and better than other hotels of the same chain I have stayed in in the past. I was sad to see that I was opposite of the elevator and expected to be woken up often but it was not an issue at all. The sound-proofing was really really great! The location is really convenient and taxis are always near if you need them

The pool was shut down while I stayed at the hotel. The staff seemed to want to help but could not. I would have liked it if they called a nearby hotel to let us use their pool. This was literally the only downside.

A well run comfortable hotel at Glories in Barcelona. Convenient for the metro to other parts of Barcelona. Friendly staff, secure parking for a fee and excellent wifi. There is a roof top pool and gym although this is very small given the size of hotel. Breakfast is a highlight- very extensive and generous buffet.

It was expensive ! But this is really market forces of supply and demand. We paid nearly 500 Euros a night for a family of 3 and had a room near the lifts ! The lifts were not quite adequate at peak times - so much so that the hotel puts quizzes and puzzles on the lift doors while you wait ! I tried taking the stairs with mixed success. Floors 2-6 are offices for a well known business. There seemed to be a foul smell around floor 6 in the stair case ! Also, while it was possible to walk down from the pool on floor 19 it was not possible to get up through the door so we were forced back to the busy lifts.

Our stay at Novotel Barcelona was fantastic! The hotel's modern ambiance, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodations made our trip memorable. The central location allowed us to explore the city easily. The highlight was definitely the delicious breakfast buffet, offering a wide variety of options to suit every palate. Overall, a delightful experience that we would highly recommend.

However, the ongoing road construction made walking from the metro to the hotel challenging, and despite the rooftop pool being open, its unheated water made swimming impossible due to the cold.
