This Parador exceeded my expectations, quite the most pleasant one that I've stayed in. It had nearly everything I wished for and nothing that I didn't want. Superb room with twin, large, v comfortable beds. Good wardrobe and ensuite. No sound from other rooms. Bright, fresh décor, new carpets, adequate private parking. Ideal location for old town, sea front, and restaurants. Absolutely fabulous fresh breakfasts, I couldn't sample everything in just 2 days! We did not take dinner. We liked Cambados itself, the adjacent Taberna Da Calzada, the A Fonte Do Vino restaurant, and visited the Illa de Arousa.

A few things, despite the glowing review: Firstly, I had been delighted to note that they had a super swimming pool but it stated on the website it didn't open until 1 June. However I had hoped, given that it was35 degrees, that they might have taken steps to bring the opening forward a few days - they didn't. The desk chair in our room was uncomfortable, the others were fine. There were no wee accoutrements such as a notepad, pen etc. The safe was too small for my laptop.

Very helpful staff ; very Good and quiet Location in the Center of Cambados ; beautiful Court inside to taste a Glass of wine or to drink a cup of coffee; excellent breakfast

No gym/ Fitness room; Restaurant: Dishes with fish suffer from very low quantities and high prices in a region with abundant quantities of fresh fish

This Parador is conveniently located to take in a stroll of some of the old parts of Cambados ...and take-in some local wines into the bargain! As a stop-over on our driving trip, this parador and the town itself were great choices. Although leaving after an early morning stroll, we could see plenty of places to eat and drink which would have attracted us if we could have dallied for longer. No matter, because we had enjoyed a fantastic meal in the Parador's restaurant the night before, with food wine and service standards that rivalled anything we had experienced in the previous few weeks. Parking was a major bonus!

The hotel is in a fabulous location and is a magnificent building. The rooms are a good size and of an excellent standard. Some of the staff are not very friendly but generally it was fine. Cambados is a great place to visit.

More attentive staff would be good and service in the bar area was not great. My only real complaint was that we were not able to use the pool. During our stay the temperature on all three days was over 30 degrees but the pool was not open.

The ambiance, swimming pool and terrace. The hotel personnel were very approachable and helpful. We did not go to the local beaches, preferring the lovely beaches on Isla de Arousa a short drive away. We enjoyed the last few days of the Fiesta del Albarino.

The breakfast was delicious but we thought overpriced - we mainly went to local panadería.

Showers need a little maintenance and wood floor cracks all the time and it’s very loud, but that also has its charm breakfast could have more options (Nutella for example)

We loved the little town of Cambados and the location is excellent.

We stayed for just one night and told them that we had to leave early the next morning at check in. They did not offer us the option of a take away breakfast, but apparently, they would have if we’d asked. Of course, we didn’t know and only found out as we were checking out and it was too late. That was disappointing. So, We never got to try the food there.

It's a nice place, old and traditional in a good location to walk around the town. They have a cosy courtyard inside, where it was nice to have some pre-dinner drinks and snacks.

Being it an old building, the soundproofing between rooms is poor. You can hear neighbours shower very well or somebody talking in a hall. Although overall the place is quiet, with no outside noise.

Typical parador. Good size room with plenty of hot water and decent bed. All a bit dated but excellent location and on site parking.

The welcoming could have been a bit more friendly. Pool was a little tired.

We have stayed in Paradores many times and the quality of Parador de Cambados was no exception. The staff made us feel welcome and were very accomodating. Our room was perfect and the breakfasts were great. Location was across from the bay and next to the City centre.
