You know how the tagline at Olive Garden is “when you’re here, you’re family?” I feel like the same could be said of this spot. All of the staff are so kind. They remember your order after the first day and treat you like a regular. There are bottomless sweet breadsticks with cafe con leche in the morning, and a huge pot of hearty soup for lunch where you can serve yourself as much as you want. The menu del día is ample enough where I was there for 5 nights and didn’t finish going through all the options. Also, especially after hiking in the rain during the day, the food was hearty and filling and reminded me my grandmother’s cooking. It was also a price reminiscent of menus peregrinos I’ve seen on the Camino de Santiago. You can tell this restaurant is the heart of the town which was made even more evident when the Corpus Christi processional ended at the doors of this restaurant. It felt like one of those inns with taverns you see people staying at on a journey. When I checked in, I was given the keys to my room, and Javi who checked me in said I could call the number on the key 24/7 if I needed anything. I didn’t anticipate needing to call, but then night fell on me while I was still at the national park. I called the hotel asking if they could arrange a taxi to come get me at the park entrance. The guy who answered recognized me but instead of sending a taxi, volunteered to come pick me up. Mind you this is Spain so the sun sets at 10pm and by the time he came to get me and brought me back to the hotel, it was already 11. On the drive back, he gave me some tips on a stunning hike, which was probably the highlight of the trip. The kitchen was supposed to be closed, but he allowed me to order dinner. We also drove by a deer and a porcupine and he slowed down so I could take a look. Everyone was so flexible from letting me have lunch and dinner late when the kitchen had already closed to housekeeping cleaning my room before I started my appointments.

The bartenders who checked us in and out were very friendly and told us all we needed. The location was perfect as we were there for a show across the street. It was perfectly clean with a great shower. Super affordable.

The rooms are compact and you can hear the neighbors as well as the restaurant below, but that is to be expected in this type of hotel.

Well located. A beautiful building. A restaurant with super friendly staff and clientele. Great shower and bed.

Shower didn’t have a door. This made the bathroom floor wet after using it.

It's a lovely little place right in the centre of the village and opposite a truly fabulous restaurant that brews its own beer - it's where all the locals go ave the atmosphere is great. At the hotel, really comfy beds, great shower and friendly staff.

The only thing is the sound-proofing isn't great and we could hear the couple in the next room having a morning shag. But it didn't last long!

Good location. Food and beverage in the bar/cafe downstairs is pretty good with a nice local crowd. There are also restaurants, bars, cafes and various stores close by.

We were staying in the peak of winter with a three year old. The heaters would turn off in the middle of the night and not turn back on again in the morning, leaving us freezing in the room. It was bearable, although not comfortable. It is generally very cold in the winter because the location is ~1000m above sea level and the building is old and lacking modern insulation. We reported the heating issues to the staff after a few consecutive days of heaters not turning on in the morning. Unfortunately, the first staff was very dismissive and insisted that the heaters turn back on at 6:00, almost as if accusing us of lying to them, not offering to check on their end. This bad attitude of the staff really gave us a bad feeling for the rest of our stay, even more than the actual heating issue itself. The next day, the heaters were not turned on until ~9:00 and we went to report it and were ready to show the staff the issue (since they refused to believe us). This time, it was another staff who was supportive and said that he will look into it. He also suggested an alternative of using the air condition with a higher temperature setting, in case the regular heating is insufficient. They fixed the heating the next day, but towards the end of our stay, the heating system was once again not turning on in the morning. We understand there can be issues especially with small places like this, but we would have appreciated some empathy instead of being dismissed and perhaps some honesty about any issues with the heating system (if any).
