Great view across the location from our room Great staff (all of them ) they all made us feel welcome and at home . We had a couple of issues in the restaurant and the staff (once they were informed ) were very obliging and courteous .I could only praise all of them. such nice staff 😁 every single one of them ,without exception . Many thanks to them all . They work so hard and seem to work well as a team in the restaurant and always with a smile and some fun about them too . We always had something nice to eat at dinner time for the main course . Not the best food selection I've ever had in a 4 star hotel but definitely value for money and positive, so we were very pleased overall. Everyone really wanted to do the best job they could do for us as guests ,and this is something that was felt by us whilst we were in the hotel 😁 I would recommend this hotel and we would like to return again.!

Desserts a disaster .same every day !😫the main thing synthetic cake squares all different colours, different colour jelly hard cubes, some sort of mouse with various tastes and flavours ( none of them nice all seemed cheap , but my husband liked the coffee one ) Oh and rice pudding !! I mean you wouldn't starve , but it's nice to have some sort of sweet treat to look forward to. No ice cream or yogurt or anything that had any imagination to it. They did serve fruit which helped .they could do so much more to give a better experience on the desserts . Suppose it helped me not to eat too much sweet! 😉 It would be fab to have a kettle in the room !

We arrived early and were able to check in at 12. We had been given an upgraded room which was wonderful. We had a fantastic view of sea and town below. Our large balcony meant we could enjoy morning coffee as well as watch evening entertainment should we choose to. We were half board, breakfast catered for all, fruit infused water, fruit juices, tea and coffee were included. The evening meals were varied, there was always soup, fresh breads, salads and meat on offer as well as pasta and sauces to choose from. The terrace was a delight after dinner to enjoy evening entertainment, we enjoyed the flamenco or you could sit out on the bar terrace to soak up the last of the sun. The position of the hotel suited our needs, bus stops were located right outside taking you up to Mijas Pueblo or down to Fuegerola. Mijas is a wonderfully charming little town. You could walk a different way each night and enjoy its charm. Head up before sunset to take in breathtaking views. Alternatively journey down you'll find a more lively towns by the coast, the bus links are cheap and regular. We booked this trip last minute to enjoy a romantic getaway without the children. It was exactly what we needed to recharge and switch off. We will book again.

We looked forward to using the spa facilities and indoor pool. Unfortunately we were told it was being renovated and wouldn't be open. This was disappointing as were were not told prior. We did however manage to book massages by the pool.

Beautiful small hotel with delicate fragrance. Smallish room but comfortable and adequate for our stay. Breakfast superb with broad choice of dishes, I would prefer some sort of service, rather than totally buffet, Suggest one should be "shown" to a table and offered tea or coffee or cold drink.

Absence of service at breakfast. - but small point....in relation to the whole stay. Equally a "shuttle service" to Mijas, would have been nice. Service from taxi was slow....

The gardens and trees were excellent. Your staff were excellent. We enjoyed Half Board and would do that again. We surely will stay again at Ilunion.

On Saturday 4th Oct we witnessed some group chanting and dancing in the Garden or annex building. At the start it was lovely and we thought it was wellbeing event but then it went up in gear into what appeared like anarchists on a rampage! Perhaps residents should be informed well in advance of any such tning in the future so they can decide for themselves whether or not they need to be around an d watch or participate in.

This was our 4th trip to the Ilunion this year alone. As always, every facet of our holiday associated with the hotel was superb. It remains staffed by a tremendous group who can always be counted upon for sublime service. The hotel is spotless, the housekeeping service is exceptional, the breakfast selection is first rate and although we tend to dine in the evenings at our favourite eateries in Mijas itself, on the two occasions that we dined in the Ilunion, the food was excellent. I absolutely cannot fault any aspect of the hotel. We have been staying here for more than a decade!

Having to come home. But, back in July for 3 weeks!

The rooms and public areas were very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The general aesthetic of the hotel was appealing, comfortable and welcoming. I stayed there previously, so pretty much knew what to expect. It was my 9th visit to the area but was the first time I had stayed in a hotel for the 2nd time which should tell you how much I liked the place the 1st time!

I was originally given a room with a vile view of the roof over the main entrance which was covered in old cigarettes and not much else was visible. However, I asked for a different room with a view of the pool/gardens which was given to me for a small extra charge. The breakfast and dinner buffets were decent, but could have offered more vegetarian/vegan options, especially the breakfast. The outdoor entertainment was still going after midnight which was not ideal.

Lovely peaceful & spacious hotel with beautiful pool area & gardens. Lots of poolside space & loungers. The room size is great. Service very good & staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast is very good & you can have it outside in the courtyard, which is really lovely. Self service icecream machine at lunch & and dinner, which was delicious.

We had booked all-inclusive & whilst the lunch & dinner were ok quality wise, the options were limited & the food was quite basic. Serious lack of food labelling with no allergens identified at all, which could be dangerous for many. A section of ready-made "salads" available daily, however zero content description. Could have either chicken one day or prawns & sea food the next but no labelling. They have a whole section of fried or battered food. However, absolutely no labels, so there is no way to know what they are without asking, except no one mans the area.

The hotel is really well located and has a great view of the sea. It's modern and really well equipped of all services. We spent the night there while there was an iberian peninsula blackout and the staff did everything to keep us confortable (backup generator, restaurant still working, etc). It exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it for sure.

The period in which the outside pool is available feels a bit odd. It opens a bit late (around 11am) and closes way too soon (around 17h30).

We had a great stay! The Kids Club was fantastic—my son really enjoyed it. The pool was also excellent, and there were plenty of great facilities including a gym, sauna, bar, tennis court and restaurant. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious and well laid out. One of the highlights for us was that our dog was welcome in almost all areas of the property, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but the menu was quite limited. It would be great to see more variety, especially for longer stays.
