fantastic view from our extra large balcony room 220 ,very good breakfast choice although a bit repetitive after 10 days, location was fantastic, hotel grounds were superb and were immaculate, the one bug bare for us was the closure of the lift down to the beach and restaurants at 7.oopm from 1st October,we were not aware of this procedure when we booked.would we go again definitely. ( great warm swimming pool).

as previously stated prior knowledge of the early lift closure ,reason given was for security purposes.If you were to venture down at night is cost on average 8 euros in a taxi to get back over a number journeys it soon becomes costly.

This Parador was the highlight of our Andalusian trip. It clearly exceeded our expectations created by reviews and photos of the hotel. The room was spacious with big balcony and amazing seafront view. Pictures on booking don't do justice how nice it actually is. There is plenty of space and lazy chairs for everyone and the garden on the top of the cliff above the beach with amazing view makes you don't want to go downstairs (even with the cool elevator). Breakfast choice is excellent. A lot of restaurants around, quick stroll to the city centre. Parking in the shadow for EUR16 per night.

We were initially concerned that we were not a beach level, but once we saw this facility we were thrilled. The views of the mediterranean and the mountains were breathtaking and the property had options such as vast lawns with reclining chairs under beautiful trees for relaxation or an elevator to the beach. They also had parking and since it was just beyond the main city center we did not have to drive on busy pedestrian streets. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken during our visit so a taxing path down and back was the alternative so we were able to sit on the beach. The location was just on the perimeter of walkways to a gorgeous plaza overlooking the sea with charming shops and restaurants along the way. We loved it there.

Two night stay in a Superior Double Room. The room was very clean and had all the facilities expected. The view from the room was lovely and the sunrise amazing (it was November)! Breakfast was excellent and sitting on the terrace in the sunshine an added bonus. Location for exploring Nerja was perfect being only a short walk into the old town. Parking was easy when we were there but it's not a very big parking area so may be a problem in the high season.

Everything was great. The beautiful grounds where the swimming pool is located, the lift that takes you down to the beach, the wonderful breakfast, and the special touches that we found in our room. There were cakes when we arrived, and a few days later, there were towels with our names embroidered on them. On another occasion, we found plates of fresh fruit. The view from our balcony was spectacular. We have stayed here twice now and will be doing so again.There was also a jar of honey left for us to take home. The hotel is very well situated for walking to the town and restaurants.

Location was perfect, and grounds were very well kept. Sun beds plentiful, and pool was lovely. The only disappointment was the breakfast which we felt was very sparsely laid out and remained the same every morning. Often empty plates, and when refreshed, emptied almost immediately. We did not find this very tempting. Smoke salmon on only 1 morning, and only 1 bottle of Cava was put out at a time, and often this was empty. I had to request a fresh bottle on three separate mornings, which the waiter went and brought back just 1 bottle, and never opened it which as a guest I did. Breakfast was the only poor part of our stay.

This hotel was a Parador so all standards were very high. Great view of the sea and coastline from my room and the restaurant. Best breakfast ever. Staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Before thinking that this hotel is overpriced - remember that a B & B in Norfolk would cost more!

To put a negative aspect on this stay would detract unfairly from the plus points. This was a coastal resort purpose built Parador as opposed to the normal ancient castle, monastery type of Parador.

Everything from the location and the lift down to Burriana beach, to the view from the rooms and the closeness to the Balcon. All good!

The selection of the cooked parts of the breakfast was very limited, albeit, the personally cooked omlettes was a positive. Nothing much to go with it though and oh for a sausage and hash brown! The cost of car parking in my view is unreasonable. You go to the Parador for location as you can walk everywhere. Hence the longer you stay the more it costs for your car to sit there. Parking on the quiet street outside costs nothing if you can find a space. I think we paid circa 60 euros for 4 nights which is disappointing.

View from our room was magnificent, could hear the Mediteranean sea from the balcony. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Cleaning was of the very highest standard I have come across. Breakfast was very good but not worth €20 per person.

Smoker in the room next door took from my enjoyment of sitting on the balcony. I had to go in once the smoker started smoking. Most unfortunate, a suggestion maybe for hotels to ask clients if the want a smoking or non smoking balcony and then group non smokers away from the smokers.

We wanted to spend time in and around Nerja as part of a wider trip in Andalusia and the Parador was the obvious choice since we had previously enjoyed Parador Cadiz Room and balcony were spacious and comfortable as was the bathroom The location is excellent with spectacular views from our balcony and lift access to beach Breakfast was very good especially the freshly fried eggs! Dinner was also good with friendly and helpful staff at all times We also enjoyed the interior design aspects of the hotel

The room temperature was too warm for my wife and could not be managed from the room but I think this is down to the air conditioning not being activated during the winter months
