Our apartment was tired and dated and in need of an update but it would not stop me from stopping there again. Sheets/towels clean, bathroom clean but whole apartment in need of a deep clean in some areas. Pillow, under pillow case, not that clean.

We had stayed in Puerto Del Carmen for 16 nights in different accommodation. We had to check out of our villa at 10am and our flight wasn’t until the evening so we decided to book Apartamentos Maribel just for the day so we would have somewhere to store our luggage and have a shower before heading to the airport. (We didn’t intend to sleep there) I had requested as early a check in as possible. I was contacted on the day (I believe it was Javier) to ask what time our flight was the following day, I explained the above and that we were just booking to store luggage and shower before our flight. Javier said he would try to see if a room was available. Javier got back to me and explained they were busy that day and an apartment may not be available until later on in the afternoon. Javier said instead of waiting for that he could provide us somewhere to store our cases securely and provide us towels to use their private onsite shower. Javier said booking.com add take a % of the booking fee but he was happy to refund me the rest. We paid 80 euros for the room and they refunded me 60 euros. So technically we paid 20 euros for luggage storage and towels and a shower for 3 people. They didn’t have to do this. We were so impressed with this and really grateful for their kindness. Thank you so much, it really helped us out on our last day 🙂

We loved everything about the Maribel apartments. The owner was extremely good to us as we arrived in the late evening. He gave us an apartment stating that it wasn't what we asked for but that he would make it right in the morning. He was true to his word and gave us a choice of two apartments both 2 bedroomed even though we had booked a 1 bedroom. Thank you Javier for your kindness. Cleaners exceptionally good and friendly. Right next to bars, restaurants, shops and the Music Hall Tavern. Will definitely book again.

There was nothing that we didn't like only that we had to go home after the week.

The people in apartments below us were very unwelcome and rude to us the morning after arrival assume they are regulars and claimed all the loungers for themselves and friends they behave as tho they own the place we were offered another apartment away from them but declined offer as we had done nothing wrong and would not give them the satisfaction that they had won we were off the same age group not teenagers

The pool was ideal for our two 7 year olds who had a ball playing on the floats - and we could see them from our outdoor table. Beds very comfortable. Welcoming staff (Caroline?) gave great local tips. Place very clean and well managed. Good to see there's an accessible group washing machine and small holiday read library. Beach only minutes walk away. Would come again.

There were no bowls (!) which was strange, but we were only there for one night so we survived. Lots of loud music from neighbouring pub but the noise stopped on the dot of 11 so we slept well. Those are our only two very small negatives.

Excellent location seconds to the beach and no hill. We had a one bed apartment perfect for our needs and was lovely and clean on arrival, fresh towels on request daily, comfy bed, we didn't use the pool but it looked clean and well looked after. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the cleaner, a lovely lady. Would recommend this accommodation and will definitely book again when we visit this resort.

The apartments are spacious, clean and well located. They are cleaned every second day. Towels and bedding are excellent. Kitchen fully stocked with a large fridge/freezer, there was a hairdryer and iron. No charge to use the safe. The upstairs balcony was large with an umbrella holder for us to use. Loungers were plentiful and other residents were friendly. When you walk outside you are directly on the strip. Couldn't beat the location! We had some noise issues unfortunately but this was remedied instantly by our hosts, they are extremely genial and instantly resolved any issues we had. There is some street noise but this is part of the overall location. If you are worried this will affect you, ask for an interior apartment.

As I am super pale I would have loved umbrellas around the pool for shade but we bought a small one at the nearby stores and it was perfect. Street noise did wake us once or twice but we are on holiday and were able to nap later on.

Everything. It's a lovely family run complex. Nothing is too much trouble, just ask if you need anything like hairdryer, iron,extra keys,, table top cooker, some apartments have a full oven. There is free WiFi, good during the day, not so good in the evenings for some reason. The pool area is spotless clean but there are no umbrellas and only one stand if you have your own and are lucky to grab it. Pool is not too deep so even non swimmers can enjoy it. Just off the strip,100 meters to the beach, closer to lots of restaurants, shops and bars. Spar shop opposite the beach entrance. It's perfect.

It can be a bit noisy at night with the bin collections, nothing the apartment owners can do about this. We didn't mind this and we stay in the same apartment every visit. Ask for interior apartment if this will be a problem for you, Javier is very accomadating. Don't let it put you off, it's a great little complex.

Staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, rooms were spacious and clean, facilities were great including free use of washing machines free wifi and location was perfect close to all shops and restaurants and no hills to negotiate.

I would just say that the apartments are a bit dated, but you're not going to get 4 star experience for the price you pay.

The only thing that we didn't like was a very overweight oldish lady walking around the poolside topless and wearing a very small thong that was absolutely disgusting to see especially when there were young families in and around the pool .
