The staff were really friendly (so was the hotel dog, Luna!) I was really grateful that the host could speak english. The room was adequate with own bathroom and small patio outside. It was clean and had sufficient facilities for making basic meals - otherwise they also provided breakfast and coffee for a small cost. Location was great too, being a minutes walk away from food, shops and the water front. As a female travelling alone, I felt really safe here as the room and hotel could only be accessed with an access card.

I highly recommend this place for several reasons: the receptionist was very welcoming, gave some tips for local restaurants; the room was very clean with a small balcony; the location is in the heart of the town; and the place has an overall friendly local family atmosphere. The price ratio was exceptional as well, I would visit it surely another time!

Nothing really, everything met and even exceeded my expectations!

They found us some parking and were generally very good, helpful and friendly hosts. Attractive 'nautical' ensuite room in blue and white, within the town with short walks to the beach, shops and cafes. Very good position. We didn't have breakfast but there was a sweet little courtyard eating area. There was a little balcony with good views over the back of the town.

This was only a 2 night stay and we had all we needed for that.

This was a wonderful place to stay, I cannot recommend Hotel Del Mar highly enough. I stayed for one night during a cycle trip. It’s a budget hotel with a cosy homely feel. My room was spotlessly clean, and I had a balcony and bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and the service was really wonderful. The hotel is so close to the beach and right in town. Thank you for my stay - I hope to return one day! Agnes

A bright clean room. Two comfortable beds. Nice balcony with a pleasant view (not ocean). Shower is big and clean. Convenient to have an elevator. Excellent location just blocks to the beach, close to the centre of town but not in all the bustle. Great value. Good heater for the room. Friendly front desk.

Balcony is separated to the neighbour by a “reed” curtain so not completely private. Wish the shower had more pressure.

Charming family run hotel one street back from paseo maritimo upgrade to double room with south facing balcony an extra bonus , lovely inner courtyard terrace , great place for desayuno , really nice breakfast including bacon and eggs , quite rare in Spain, nice fan in room , September can be very warm ,so it was needed and I believe is better than air conditioning

No real complaints , took a while for warm water to come through , a lot of wasted water which is unfortunate ,

Very good location, friendly and helpful staff, cheap and cheerful breakfast, very accommodating about storing a bike and bike box. Really enjoyed our stay. Rooms basic but fine if you’re out all day and just going back to sleep, like us!

We liked that the hotel was very close to the beach and the shops. The breakfast was delicious every day. The room was clean and comfortable and the owners and staff friendly and helpful.

hotel located on quiet back street had an eclectic feel about it , really charming , very helpful reception staff , upgraded to a double room with a large walk in double shower , good wifi , small balcony overlooking town and church Desayuno (breakfast) was 6 euros and well worth it , a good choice also bacon and eggs !! , thats quite unusual in costa brava region

balcony was north facing , no doubt lovely on a hot summers day but a little cool in october , hotel was being painted so it may explain room choice

Staff were exceedingly supportive and friendly and passed on loads of advice about the town and local area! Location was right on the edge of town and beach.
