Hostal Rosa is just a two minute walk from the tram station and is well under ten minutes from the centre of Villajoyosa. The proprietor is friendly and helpful and the accommodation is spotlessly clean. Our beds were comfortable and the shower was powerful and with nice hot water. Our room also had a little balcony which we enjoyed sitting on in the evening. Hostal Rosa may be basic accommodation but it is very good and we enjoyed our stay. The room itself would not have been out of place in a 2* or 3* hotel. Recommended.

Clean , tidy and pleasant. I had a small balcony with a little view to a mini courtyard, nothing to look at of interest. However fresh air, also there was a small fridge outside. So ideal for drinks etc . Limited parking outside, but go towards the football ground and there is plenty of parking, a five minutes walk. All free, if you look.

To access the hostal, you need to go upstairs, therefore if you are disabled you will struggle. No lift.

This hotel exceeded our expectations- particularly because it was very clean and comfortable. We booked a couple of nights as we were on a budget and we were very pleasantly surprised with what great value for money our stay was. The staff were very friendly and helpful- they recommended beaches and let us borrow an umbrella for the beach too!

I liked that it had a bathroom and a fridge and it was close to the center of the city. Also the lady of the hostel let me borrow a waterboiler for coffee and tea.

I didn't like that all the smells in the building came in to the room, it seemed. Other than that it had a very good standard for a one star hostel

A lovely hostel within walking distance of the beach and old town. There was someone there to greet us when we arrived, who spoke good English, and was helpful. The room was very comfortable, including a large balcony, with table, chairs and a fridge. The shower was also good, and towels and shower gel were provided.

It was noisy on the first night, as our neighbours were talking loudly on the balcony, but they left the following day, and it was quiet after that.

Perfectly located in the town and close to the beach and where I was needing to be. Both the bed and the shower were great and couldn't fault them as a single traveller

There really couldn't be anything I didn't like. I knew it was a 1 star so I expected it to be a bit less than it actually was and believe me I've stayed in worse

The position in town is good. The staff. Comfortable bed and room. Clean. Easy walk to restaurants and cafes , tram to Alicante and Benidorm and town.

Noisy neighbours on one of my four nights. Generally not a problem on the rest.

The place was clean and the staff really nice. The location was perfect for me - close to the beach, but also close to the tram stop that goes to Alicante and other coastal towns. The cafe in which the breakfast took place was lovely. There was a bathroom, a fridge and AC in the room - I would say that only a water boiler was missing.

I would definitely extend the offer of the brakfast, it's very limited so I had to pay additionally every time I went. My room was very dark - it didn't really have windows, just balcony door but with a view to a dark courtyard. There was no direct light, so I had to turn on the light even during the day. The smell of the whole place was very peculiar, but it's something I have noticed also in fancy hotels - they use a lot of perfume to cover up other smells, probably smoke from many years ago.

Great bed and great shower

Hearing people above move their furniture about and talk. However, this was only in the morning for a short period and I could soon get back to sleeping

The staff were excellent The shower was AMAZING !!! This hostal deserves more than one star rating. The owner waited for us to arrive which was quite late at night. The vouchers for breakfast were great. The cafe was lovely so were the staff in the cafe and it was no distance at all to go for breakfast. All the staff in the hostal were great. We were supplied with kettles, cups, cutlery what ever we wanted.

The room was quite cold but that was probably because we couldn't work the air conditioning/heater.
