The location of the Hotel is stunning and the staff were very pleasant. I had the biggest and the best steak on my stay in Spain. It was yummy. The village of Zahara is spectacular, just a pity you can't swim in the lake.

Our room we booked ,was given to the couple who decided to stay another night. we did get a complimentary drink in return for allowing them to keep our room, however they did have the bath and the view from it.

The location and view from our room was outstanding. Staff were very attentive at check-in, dinner and breakfast. Helped with our bags and told us about the village. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was the best we had during our week in Spain. Room was large and comfortable, air-conditioning worked well given it was high 30's.

Excellent stay, perfect location, very neat room, very comfortable beds and mind blowing views from the balcony. The photos in the website don’t do justice to this hotel at all. I had very low expectations from the photos but the property is way way better than the photos. We really loved our stay here. It was very cozy and comfy. If you are self driving then this hotel is the perfect location as it falls right at the start of the town and thus you don’t have to navigate the narrow alleys of the town itself to reach the hotel. The property has ample free parking. The view from the balcony was amazing. Breakfast was basic but enough for us. If we go back to Zahara De La Sierra, I would stay here again.

Very clean and spacious room with beautiful views from balconies. Comfortable accommodation and good access to zahara and hiking trails. The restaurant is highly recommended for fresh and geniune food.

Breakfast is limited in choice and quantity, although it's good not much options are given.

We booked this hotel at the last minute and found it to be one of our favorites of our two week trip. Fantastic on site restaurant and hosts. If you plan to eat there - check days they are open. Beautifully designed room with a lovely balcony and large bathroom with shower and tub. The hotel also has outdoor seating overlooking the reservoir. We enjoyed walking right down the street to a beautiful historic mirador to watch the sun set. Nice free parking in front.

We sleep very cold and couldn’t get the room cold enough and couldn’t open the windows because of bright lights. This wouldn’t stop us from staying again at all.

Loved this hotel too , fabulous dinner really delicious food , outstanding meal and breakfast there , really enjoyed it. We had a smashimg bedroom too.

No complaint re accomodation. Only comment is if you can only walk very short distances it might be a little far from centre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Al Lago. Stephan, Mona and the staff were very helpful and obliging. Our room was comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and it didn’t disappoint, very good food and wonderful service. The breakfast included in the price was great too. Location was good and we were easily able to park our car in front of the hotel.

The hotel is ideally situated at the foot of the town. Easy to find and easy to park. Apartment was immaculately clean. Very warm welcome from hosts Mona and Stefan. Evening meals on the terrace were a highlight. Lovely range of choices and every dish of a high quality. Lots of great walks on the doorstep and a great range of wildlife. watch out for the vultures!

Excellent breakfast and the restaurant at the hotel for dinner was amazing! Best fish dish I have had in ages. The room was very clean and extra large bed was great. Older building refurbished over the years but perfectly comfortable. The owners were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There was instant coffee in the room. But we we just popped down asking for real coffee and they happily brought it to our room. Great service and people. That was actually better than having a coffee maker in our room.
