In general, this place looks like an oasis in Sri Lanka. Beautiful nature spots, fascinating design, cozy rooms, responsive staff, lots of adventures to take. Comfortable location to go to Sigiria and other great places. Mixed kitchen breakfast. The room was upgraded and the room service was perfect.

Wi-Fi didn't work at all. Had a bad experience with cash payment. The first hotel which accepts USD, but converts the whole price in LKR, not only change (seems like their system accepts only LKR). Without telling about it. I noticed that because of a very strange thing: we paid for a short tour with this hotel, but in Sigiriya. There we paid in USD for the tour and changed 30$ for 10.000LKR. And 1 h later, when we come back to pay the hotel, they changed 27$ for 6.900LKR. So, be careful.

So beatiful and calmly place. Lake area is gorgeous and the view is stunning. Staff is helpful and friendly in every way. We booked at first only one night, but the we extended for 3 more days. Rooms were quiet big and comfortable. Clean and the food was ok, but not that special like we got in the rest of the country.

The building from outside is "efficient" but does not fit in this sourounding at all. But thats only from outside.

We stayed here on our first two nights of the trip as it makes a great stop off point between Colombo and the east coast. Great for visiting Sigiriya and rock temples via car or Tuk Tuk (the latter very cheap). We stayed in a super deluxe on top floor overlooking the amazing pool. Food and drink are very reasonable given there are no other options within walking distance really. There's a nice chinese in main building. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Loved it

There's nothing bad about the place. Maybe breakfast could run a little later to accommodate dawn trips ( we made it back in time but it was rushed.) Wifi is a bit meh

Exceptional stay, the accommodation was top notch. Spacious room, decent sized, covered balcony with great views across the pool and lake. The food was superb! A huge and varied choice for both breakfast and dinner. One enormous buffet. We jogged around the perimeter of the lake on small roads with only peacocks and monkeys for company. Bring binoculars to see the stunning birdlife: kingfisher (several kinds), bee eaters, sun birds, pelicans, storks, eagles, egrets, and many more. Some local walking, too . A good way to visit the Golden Buddha .

As you get in you understand you are in a wonderful location: the pool and the view from our bedroom was one of the best we had on our trip. The pool is cleaned every day and you can easily swim along more than 50 meters, it was impressive. The food is good, however was missing taste and authenticity.

The restaurant service did not meet the standard of a 5 star hotel. Most of staff is clearly inexperienced as most of our requests was barely satisfied. Water always coming at the end of every meal, in the morning was hard to get coffee, always missing either napkins or glasses or plates. There is a lot to improve.

Such an amazing location - this view was sublime. The food and the staff were unbeatable. Swimming pool to die for. Best location for a magical safari to see the elephants.

This hotel prides itself on its community caring and environmental creds. It was very surprising to us therefore that they put our driver in a horrible room off site with 4 other men and no mosquito nets to sleep under. He ended up in the car. It’s spoilt our trip as he had become very dear to us - a lovely lovely young man trying to earn a living.

The pool and surrounds were breathtaking. Easy access to the elephant safari and Srigriya and Caves. The dinner and breakfast buffet were great and we also tried the Chinese hotpot restaurant for some variety. I also appreciated the decor from a local artist called Dileep.

The staff took 1/2 day to unlock the door that interconnected our rooms. Our ground floor rooms didn’t have reflective glass so blinds had to be drawn every time we wanted to change or needed privacy but access to pool was great

All was amazing, the hotel is so beautiful, the room was great, bathroom is huge and the garden with the pool is stunning! It's very chic and quiet. The best was that the hotel is very luxurious with a lot of charm but the prices of the restaurant and the spa are reasonable so you can really enjoy your stay! And the staff was really helpful, we really loved our stay there!

The breakfast was a bit expensive so we ended up not trying it and you can't really take a tuk tuk from there so the reception has to call one for you when you need to go somewhere and so the ride is a bit overprice but I guess that's the price to pay to stay in this beautiful spot!

This hotel is really one of its kind. A beautiful, luxurious and silent place in nature with a stunning view. All the facilities really cater to the traveller who wants to feel like a king. The staff is very well trained and professional. They really live up to a high standard of hospitality. Each guest is always received with a smile, each moment of the day. There was not a single issue or problem we faced during our stay when it comes to additional requests. On top of that, the philosophy of the hotel (being sustainable but not handing in any level of luxurious) is truly revolutionary I would say. Also, the quality, quantity and ample choice of food is very good. Prices are more than reasonable. This hotel really delivers on all aspects. A very good price-quality ratio (you won’t find a hotel with these standards and in such a location for this amount of money elsewhere). Definitely highly recommended.

Really a trivial and minor issue that doesn’t even come close to the positive experience. But if I could give a small suggestion for improvement, I would suggest installing a small lamp near the shaving mirror in the bathroom so you also have clear light in the evening/at night.

Fantastic resort with beautiful outlook and hugely spacious room and balcony with huge swimming pool overlooking the lake. Staff were amazingly helpful particularly the restaurant staff who were next level. It is worth noting for those who don’t like buffet dinners you can order a la carte at main restaurant although we were not aware of this till the last night of our stay. Try the Chinese restaurant- it’s very good too.

There were no sun umbrellas poolside but apparently they were away being repaired.
