This was the best value accommodation that we had in Sri Lanka. Rooms have a luxurious feel to them and the whole property is amazing. Wonderful staff. Great food and breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Forest Edge. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and we loved that they were so private and in amongst the forest. While the decor in the main building is quite simple, the facilities are excellent - pool, hot tubs, pool table, table tennis, gym etc, which was great for unwinding. The food was really good too. What really stood out for us was the service. The staff were 100% professional while being warm and friendly, They were fantastic when I had a small accident which needed hospital treatment. They immediately drove me to first a local and then to a larger hospital in Dambulla, helped with translation, and ensured I was looked after before bringing us back. All done with a reassuringly calm and caring manner. Highly recommend this place.

We loved staying at Sigiriya Forest Edge! We stayed for 2 nights and we were in the mood for somewhere isolated, in the midst of greenery and quiet. Which it definitely delivered. The staff were very welcoming and acticipated our needs. The location of the hotel was close to Sigiriya rock fortress and also a short drive to the restaurants in Sigirya town. The pool and the rooms were surrounded by trees and we sat outside in the evening having a drink, which was very lovely. The breakfasts were enormous and very yummy! We would definitely we coming back!

The wifi was not great – which we gave as feedback to the staff who advised that it was a current issue that was to be rectified and they were fixing it that week.

The rooms were very clean and lovely. Staff were extremely attentive. Complimentary mini bar was greatly appreciated. Extremely generous amount of food at breakfast and dinner on the fixed menus (but four choices, so plenty of options). Only 10 villas/rooms so it felt very private. And very quiet.

It would be great to have some shade over the pool and the dining room lacked a little atmosphere, compared to the quality of the rooms. A little out of way, but secure with a gated secure entrance and surveillance cameras everywhere.

What a place, when we arrived we were first a little concerned about the isolation...but when we realised where we were staying and what we had access to...it was great to be isolated there. Everything was awesome, the food was next level, we only ate off the Sri Lankan menu and are very glad we did. The room was lovely, the pool very relaxing and the staff very helpful. Having a shuttle to Lion Rock at 0500 in the morning helped beat the crowds and heat and when we finished, the driver had cool water and cold towels, a nice touch. Would love to stay here again one day.

Our room was absolutely beautiful and the facilities were great, we enjoyed the gym, jacuzzi and pool/ping pong tables! The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, and really looked after us - in particular Shehan who worked in the restaurant was brilliant.

Our only suggestion would be to have local taxis/tuk tuks available to come to the hotel - the shuttle service the hotel offers to Sigiriya rock and Dambulla cave temple are at quite awkward times, and it's more expensive to use the shuttle at an awkward time than it would be to just get a tuk tuk or taxi, so it would be good to have that service available.

This place is absolutely incredible! The rooms are uniquely designed, and being surrounded by the forest is just magical. There's a ton of activities to enjoy, and trust me, the hotel looks even better in person than in the online photos. It's perfect for families and kids. The staff is super friendly and their service is world-class. We planned a 10-day tour around Sri Lanka, but now my family wants to stay longer in this hotel because of the fantastic service and amazing experience. The food was fantastic, and the staff truly goes above and beyond to make you feel special. Highly recommend staying here!

A hidden gem of a place in Sigiriya! Excellent rooms that are seperate chalets built in the forest area providing excellent privacy amidst greenery. Stay Included delicious meals from the in house restaurent with an impressive menu representing multiple cuisines. Property offers lots of activities and facilities. Situated in an ideal location with carpetted roads and near to attractions. Hotel staff are brilliant! They are very attentive, friendly and easily the best of hotel staff you can ask for. Our stay at Sigiriya Forest Edge was truly amazing. Definitely will plan another visit.

We loved our Stay at the Sigiriya Forest Edge. It was a great little gem with 5 star facilities and service with staff who went above and beyond to look after you. Loved the design and feel of the elevated cottages with raised pathways which gives a feeling of being nestled in the forest. At the moment there are only 10 cottages and the plan is underway to complete a resort with lot more cottages, swimming pools and other 5 star facilities by 2026. Rooms were perfect with very large spacious well designed interior to comfortable beds and large clean bathroom. Food from in-room dining to breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant was a great experience. If you have time try a relaxing Balinese message from the Spa. Highly recommend for your next visit to Sigiriya, Sri Lanka.
