Fantastic setting in one of the most beautiful bay of the south. We were lucky to have been given a sea. View room for our first night as our booking which was for a city view room wasn't available ~the sea view room is amazing but very pricey for the area. Breakfast was very pleasant and good choices. It's a small property but they have nice sun lounges in place~staff are friendly!!

City room very small and noisy fine for 1 or 2 nights maximum ~not relaxing can't swing a cat really. Be aware when signing in~they quote euros or $ on Booking.com but when you arrive they exchange that to local currency which is fair enough~what isn't fair is that they use their tourist rate of exchange as if you are buying or selling foreign currency ~this is out of order as they are in effect charging you 8~10% more ~I put a stop to this and quoted the exact $dollar market rate to charge~in their irratation at this they charged me 4% because I used a card ~again this has not happened anywhere else in Sri Lanka so be aware~this small hotel is expensive to start with without these attempted add ons

Great view from top floor

I didn't like the fact that I wasn't charged the correct price ( over charged 150.00). Booking .com advertising free genius upgrade of room. We got charged full price by hotel ! I wouldn't have booked this place at this price. How fighting to gey my 150.00 pounds returned. Disgusting booking.com. Now getting Barclays Bank involved as I have all evidence and 100per in the right.. Very bad management not sorting their advertising wirh booking.com properly , especially with not cancelling option Totally spoilt our stay.

Magnificent room overlooking the sea. Beautiful pool and a few steps down to the beach.

The stay was soured at the end when they tried to charge us 20% more than we were supposed to be charged. This was constructed with various surcharges they couldn't explain and an exchange rate which was way off. The walk to the main Marissa beach is relatively short but involves climbing over rocks and some very heavy sandy beaches.

Property is very nice … It has everything you need with a private beach

At the time of check out they will force you to pay by cash and if you pressure them to pay by card they will take some exchange rate which you will not find anywhere + 4% extra

Location is perfect - 5 minutes walk to coconut tree hill and there are many restaurants nearby. It is also a 5 minute tuk tuk ride away to more touristy / party areas in Mirissa. Staff are so friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We arranged a tour to Udawalawe National Park through the hotel, and we had a super convenient experience (especially as we requested to be dropped off to the Colombo Airport after the safari tour). Nassim was exceptionally friendly as well. We had the city room view - it was slightly smaller compared to the ocean view rooms but we were happy with it for its value.

The location is ideal for visiting all the most recommended beaches and viewpoints, but at the same time offers a very exclusive homey feel. The boutique hotel has a restaurant serving delicious food, a private small pool and access to the beach which is ideal and only 5 min coast walk to Coconut tree hill.

Everything. Primarily, the service has been absolutely amazing. We have already learnt that Sti Lankans are lovely, but the staff at this hotel takes it to another level. They are very personable, friendly and kind. Especially Nassim the manager, he has helped us with recommendations and advice about the local area and has been super friendly and helpful. We’ve also loved seeing Damith and other staff everyday, who always greeted us with smiles and friendliness. The hotel is also very clean and nicely decorated. We had a beautiful room on 3 floor overlooking the ocean. Ideal stay for our last 3 nights!

A beautiful modern style hotel set in a stunning location with constant views of traditional wooden fishing boats from either its dining or sunlounger areas. Also the hotel's seafront is onto a quiet stretch of beach, yet within a short walk of the very popular beach seafood areas. The staff were also friendly and attentive to your every need - (Extra toast or pots of tea were provided with the excellent breakfast, and although we were booked out at midday, staff readily kept our luggage secure beyond our booking out time as we had another day to spend before an evening taxi ride to Colombo Airport). Good Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and roomy ensuite bathroom.

Can't find any fault with the hotel or its dedicated staff.

Genuinely impressed by the friendly and attentive staff. Their warmth made me feel instantly welcome. The hotel's location is excellent, offering easy access to attractions, shopping, and dining. The views from the rooms are breathtaking, adding a touch of luxury to the stay. Overall the hotel offers a memorable and convenient experience with the overwhelming kindness of the people working there, prime location, and stunning views. Highly recommended for any traveler visiting the south of Sri Lanka.

Nothing negative to highlight

So... This was our splurge hotel and it is a bit pricy considering that it doesn't have a lot of facilities. But the room with the balcony was the most gorgeous view from a hotel I've ever had. Seriously. I couldn't get enough. The four poster bed was also high enough that you could wake up every morning with that beautiful view right in front of you. The room was clean, and the beautiful dark wood furniture (though a little dated) and wood/stone floors felt high quality. The shower was awesome and my 6'5 husband loved that it was tall enough for him. It was a lot of fun playing with all the taps and settings :) it even has a view window (with curtain if you want privacy) so you get natural light and a view in the shower. The breakfasts were extensive and tasty, and they can do western or Sri Lankan if you wish. We didn't really use the pool or loungers but it's got lots of cute little beaches/beach clubs all around (3-5 minute walk). It is about a 10 minute walk into the heart of town but there were several wonderful restaurants about 5 minutes away. The staff was friendly and they offered us new beach towels every day.

There was one odd thing... One day they asked us to cancel our booking on Booking.com for a 5% discount which we didn't really feel comfortable with. However, when we said no they didn't hassle us and the issue was dropped. It wasn't very busy (as are a lot of other places right now as they get back on their feet), but there were some fun beach clubs really close by if you want a more lively atmosphere.

The property is located right at the beach with a beautiful view, tasteful decor and in walking distance of most places around. The owner Salath gave us an upgrade and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The staff at the reception were extremely nice, always smiling and helpful with anything we needed. Bathrooms were neat and hygienic with a spa shower. Breakfast was very good as well, served in front of the pool overlooking the beach. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
