Nothing to point out

At first impression the hotel seemed a little dated and run down, and we were surprised at the high rankinng on Booking. Over the next 24 hours our imression changed 100%. We were given an amazing suite, all the staff were very helpful and attentive and the food was excellent. By the time we left this was our favourite hotel of our trip and our initial misgivings forgotten. We couldn´t recommend it more

The pool could do with a bit of a facelift

Very spacious hotel and room, clean and choice of restaurants. We ate in thr chinese restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Ideally located for airport. Arranged a packed breakfast for us as we were leaving 6.30am for the airport.

Thought the pool area needed a bit of tlc, chairs and loungers looking tired and weeds growing up through tiles. Pool was very clean though and we had service from the bar

a great airport hotel that's in a garden. Only 15 mins drive ($15) to the airport. Nice pool area and great buffet in the evening and for breakfast. The new rooms are much better than the old ones.

Its a bit on the costly side for a Sri Lankan hotel. The bath/shower takes some effort to get into, no chance if you are not steady on your feet

excellent facilities. Great selection of food on offer, something for everyone. Rooms are comfortable. very close to the airport so great for a stopover. We were a family with small children and the pool and play park were great for keeping the kids entertained.

Unsure if this was a one off as we stayed for 1 night over Easter weekend, but there was loud music playing until 1am then we were woken up just before 6am to someone playing a sermon very loudly on their phone right outside our door. Consequently we had a rather awful night’s sleep!

Everything. Very good place for a long stay. Felt like at home.

Some quality issues in housekeeping. Ratty towels/ sheets, staff forgetting to clean the WC sometimes, omitting replacement of some items. If highlighted, these were attended immediately therefore, not considered as real issues.

Location to the airport but without hearing it, and the staff make this hotel a must for an airport transfer! We used the night before the early flight back home and the staff on the front desk were the most polite/helpful at of of all our travels in Sri Lanka.

Property is well maintained, very clean, a typical business hotel close to the airport, reasonably priced, good breakfast, nice service. An ideal value location on your way to explore/exit Sri Lanka. Chineese restaurant for dinner was great, although quite slow

It's worth the money. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Unfortunately, we were there for only one night and were not able to take full advantage of their restaurant/bar/coffee shop. The pool area is pleasant for a night walk, and the gym has sufficient space and equipment to get a good workout in. We will be staying here on a future trip to the Colombo NCR area.

Need a few more bottles of water in the room. Especially given the weather.

I’ve stayed in this lovely hotel for over more than fifty times and not a single time I was let down by the extremely warm staff with their professionalism and and attention to customer needs. it has been constant throughout from earlier employees to the new ones today. kudos to the new trainee staff MAHESH for his professionalism and attending customer needs going beyond and above. being a new employee he managed to help me out on a critical situation providing me with a quick solution upon consulting the senior staff and taking time out of his regular duties. the front office staff including the supervisors and managers have done an amazing job polishing the new employees up to maintain the high standards they’d been keeping in the property for all these years. thanks to MAHESH and all the outstanding past and the present employees of Vivanta Katunayake, All the very best!!!🙏🏽
