Trinco blu is a wonderful hotel, which is located in a quiet, peaceful place. The hotel monitors the cleanliness of the beach, the beach is cleaned every day! The entrance to the sea is very comfortable, smooth, there are no stones anywhere. The sea is always calm, without waves. The hotel staff deserves the highest praise: very caring, in a hurry to fulfill your every whim. Very sincere and friendly. The food is very tasty and varied, there are both local and European dishes. Breakfast includes a lot of fresh fruit. Get ready to put on a few kilos, everything is so delicious! ))) The room is very spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable. There are all necessary bath amenities, including a bathrobe and slippers. The room has a spacious terrace where it is very pleasant to drink tea overlooking the sea and palm trees.

My partner and I stayed at Trinco Blu for a week in a beach chalet. The room was lovely and we loved stepping straight out onto the beach. You could not fault the location! You could walk straight along the beach to many restaurants and bars which started immediately next door to the hotel (including the popular fernandos beach bar which was no more than a 5 minute walk away), or you could go out the front where there were many restaurants on the road leading to the hotel. The room service was very good with nightly phone calls to check that the room was up to standard and to ask if there was anything we needed (including unlimited bottles of water for the room). When room cleans were requested they were done very promptly. Breakfast was also lovely with many choices.

The room had quite a few bugs in due to the large gaps under the doors. However, they did seem to settle down the longer we stayed in the room. Also service at the front desk could be quite slow however it is a busy hotel. That said we would definitely stay here again should we come back to Trincomalee.

We stayed 6 nights at Trinco Blu and had a great stay. Very good hotel for relaxing at the beach in Trincomalee. Very friendly, attentive and service-minded staff. Highly recommend this hotel! Beach chalet was very nice with direct access to the beach. Large room with all ammenities. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Did not have dinner at hotel but there are many great restaurants on the beach and nearby streets. Recommend Trinco Bay Diving Center 10 minutes down the beach for diving/snorkeling activities.

there was sometimes large groups of people outside our room and some type of early morning party right outside our room woke us up one day. The hotel should not allow this.

This is my third trip to Trinco Blu, the first time in 1982 when it was a slightly different set up, then in 2014 and now this year. I love this space. The peaceful setting and yes I am fine with the crows! They were here before the holidaymakers. We had a beach chalet this year which I thoroughly enjoyed. Sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise was one of the highlights of my two weeks. The staff were so friendly and helpful. A special shout out to the pool guy and to the lady who makes very yummy hoppers each morning, to the chefs who prepared the meals and the restaurant manager who checked in with us each day. The pool was clean and a welcome treat in the heat. The sea was enjoyable to swim in. The beach was swept each morning and kept litter free as best as they could. Watching the fish being pulled in reminded me of the daily lives of the Sri Lankans. We tourists were lucky to see the real challenges of living here. Will return for sure.

We loved so much about Trinco Blu. The room was a very comfortable size. There were TWO luggage stands - even 5 and 6 star hotels often have only one, which always baffles and annoys me. There were hooks on the bathroom door - again, shouldn't be noteworthy but 5 and 6 star hotels often have no where to hang your towels, clothes or robes. There was a simple ledge under the bathroom sink for your toiletries - again, many 5 and 6 star hotels have no where for your toiletries. The food selections were excellent. We are vegan and so much of Sri Lankan food is vegan and the hotel served a lot of it, so we were happy. And the food was delicious. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. They were always happy to help. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Trincomalee. It's a very special part of the world and Trinco Blu made it even more special for us.

Some parts of the hotel need to be upgraded/maintained, e.g. the mirrors on the wall behind the reception desk. There was even one gap where the mirror is missing. Many, if not all, of the mirrors' edges were missing the reflecting part of the mirror. This kind of detail made me a bit sad for the property because otherwise, it was such a great place.

Located on a long stretch of beautiful beach at the Northern end of Trincomalee, beach chalet was right on the beach with sun loungers available. Breakfast was superb with something for everyone. Really friendly staff throughout which is quite unusual for a larger hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms.

We had a downstairs beach chalet, which was lovely but I think that I would have been quite disappointed if we were upstairs (I didn’t even realise that they were 2 story from the hotel’s website). Dogs and crows around beach / pool are mentioned in some reviews, in our experience there is a family of semi-stray dogs that seem to make the hotel their home but they are not a nuisance. As for the crows, they are a bit noisy at times but, short of Culling’s them, I’m not sure what the hotel could do about. Neither detracted from a lovely stay.

Location on Uppuveli beach was stunning and quiet. We had two upstairs beach chalets next to each other with a balcony and stunning views. We didn’t use the pool as we used the sunbeds directly below our room on the beach under the palm trees and the sea to cool down. Rooms were lovely light clean comfortable and spacious. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good for choice. Crows didn’t bother us. Nor did the dogs. The Crab restaurant was perfect for lunch. We loved our stay at Trinco Blu. Thank you.

There are definitely areas which need some renovation eg the decking which has broken areas/ sunbed cushions ripped and tatty. More sunbeds needed as when returning after lunch from being out all morning there were no sunbeds free.

Very nice and large breakfast, both continental and SL. Our Suite was very spacious, also for four persons, incl complimentary fruits, sanitary-stuff and waters. Pool is large snd has a towel-service. Staff is very friendly. The hotel is situated on the end of a dead-end road, behind a gate with guards. Easy walk to several restaurant incl Fernando's market. The beach is wide and good.

Water during breakfast was tapwater! You had to pay gor bottled water, unbelievable for such a hotel, which also provides bottled water for the room. The cues/sticks for the pool billiard need to be replaced. Overall the hotel is very good, but the price is relatively high.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful time I spent here with my family. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Special thanks to the chef Nishanth Viraj for every bite of the extremely rich menu. The meals here are like from heaven. I would also like to thank Mrs. Jasintha who has a black belt in making milk hoppers and not only. Thank you very much. If we ever come back to Sri Lanka with our family we will definitely visit Trinco Blue

Everything was simply perfect

Great hotel, We came for our Honeymoon, the staff was great and very friendly! Everythink we asked they served immedietialy. The pool was really big, and As one who like to swim it wad great for me.. one way is 50 meters. I highly reccomended to ask for Ground Floor room becasue its so amazing just walking through the room dierctly to the beach and pool. The location is great for people who are looking for silenece, although you can by walking of 10 -15 min reach to all the cafe of 18 ares and other bars. Thank for great experince !
