Hotel is in beautiful house and hotel room is beautiful as well. Hotel staff was very very helpful in the hotel and during the breakfast. They tried to fulfill all our needs.

You cannot contact the hotel. They are responding just once in a day. I was messaging them and they responded next day same time. Even if I went to message them again immediately they responded next day. Room needs renovation. We had water leaks from air conditioner placed outside of the room via the window. Bathroom needs renovation. A lot of things were missing or not working in the room. We made several requests to have things done. Bring me hairdrier - ok. Fridge not working - ok. Foot towel is missing - ok. And a lot of requests like this.

The hotel is a lovely old building in the unesco world heritage site part of the city five minutes walk from independence square and 10 minutes from restaurants. The interior is modern, well furnished and we could not have had a warmer welcome from the staff. Our room was spacious and clean. Everything worked. The best bathroom in the whole of our south america trip. Generous breakfast. Great value. The staff are outstanding.

Nothing - although an additional power point would be welcome

The rooms are perfect and very comfortable. There is a sitting area in the room where you can eat and a desk to work if you need it. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for visitors. The bathroom is self contained with great water pressure. I stayed for 7 days and the price was reasonable compared to other places. There is an on-site dining room where you can order meals if you choose. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of national monuments. The staff are very polite and helpful. There is a Republic Bank Branch and ATM next door. However, you can pay the hotel with any major credit card. I would definitely visit again.

There are no complaints.

Everything. The staff is perfect, really professional and helpful. The hotel has its charm. Nice to stay in an older building with some history behind. The room size and the view from the room (202), absolutely no complaints.

Really nothing serious to complain about. But if I am a bit picky, I would wish that the breakfast would start a bit earlier than at 8am. Normally they set it up before 8am, but not all the options are available.

The major plus is the location; central and on arguably Paramaribo's most beautiful street adorned with these classic old wooden houses Paramaribo is famous for. Considering its a 3 star place the breakfast was excellent and staff was very pleasant and helpful. All in all a great value stay

Rooms are ok, beds are hard (but surprisingly good sleep) however there is some mold starting to appear in the bathrooms (which are somewhat aged and actually in need of refurbishment). No swimming pool and no bar. The value for money aspect makes up for that.

It is in a good location in the old town and a lovely ambience in the building.

Not having an elevator is a pian when you arrive. And the silly system of having to use the door-bell to be let in the front door every time needs fixing. Perhaps give the guests the gode fro the front door, or a key.

Excellent location within walking distance to everything in the city. Very nice looking building from the streetside. The room was comfortable with good AC and WIFI. Excellent breakfast with plenty of offerings. Also choice of eggs. Good coffee. The staff was very helpful with the local transport options, renting bikes. Also guided us to the transport provider to get from Georgetown (Guyana). Very helpful!

Absolutely nothing

The Hotel Palacio is centrally located, about 10 minutes away from Waka Pasi, Fort Zeelandia, and Palm Garden. It's also conveniently located next to an ATM that works with American debit cards, as well as an outdoors shop, for last minute purchases before heading to the interior. The hotel is run very well run, and the staff are extremely helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was able to address issues immediately (missing remote control batteries and a lightbulb that went out). The breakfast was also great, and starts early.

Everything was great! The beds were on the softer side, but certainly not uncomfortable. The view isn't great, but it was so hot, we had the curtains closed the whole time.

We greatly enjoyed our time at the Hotel Palacio in Paramaribo, Suriname. The hotel is in an excellent location in the historic district of Paramaribo. You can walk to all the main sites in ten minutes. The hotel is recently renovated so everything works well, except sometimes they don’t have hot water for the showers. That is not a big deal since it is so warm in the tropical environment. The air conditioners work very well, again everything is clean and in good condition. The rooms are pretty spacious with two windows and two beds. The prices for the rooms are very reasonable. Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, perhaps the friendliest I’ve ever seen. They will give you good advice about getting taxis and which sights to see. Actually, everyone in the country seems glad to see us. The included breakfast is quite good. I recommend the Suriname omelette. I highly recommend staying in the Hotel Palacio when in Paramaribo. I also recommend visiting the Pepperpot Nature Reserve. It is only a 15 minute drive out of the city and full of exotic wildlife. That’s the best reason to go to Suriname.

The showers in the rooms usually did not have hot water

Hotel is located in the heart of Paramaribo - walking distance to majority of things that one may want to do in the city centre. The front-desk personnel was super nice and friendly. The room size was good, fully stocked bathroom. We suggest taking the breakfast with the hotel, as it was very nice and the coffee was decent. All in all, it is a solid option for someone looking to stay in downtown.

A few things: - WiFi is rather weak and doesn't work in some areas - the rooms are not of the same quality (even within the same price category) - noise isolation is almost non-existent - you will be disturbed at night if you sleep in one of the rooms facing the street. The drivers make a lot of noise at night...
