Central location, close to everything. Very short walk to shops and restaurants. The building itself is very stylish, with large beautifully finished modern rooms and the WIFI was fantastic! Staff were lovely and friendly and made you feel very welcome.

Its the centre of the city so parking is not the easiest, but there are plenty of good value for money parking garages nearby, you just have to navigate a few one way streets to get there!

The breakfast was heavenly. Fresh and inspired, in a beautiful dining room. There were so many options, even for us gluten and milk allergies. And you can tell the staff enjoy serving it too. The interior, hallways, reception and dining room are classy and ornate, with a mixed old-fashioned look. It gives a nice atmosphere. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were helpful and nice.

Mostly nit-picking here. Although the room was nice, clean and lacked nothing, I expected it to be a bit bigger. Also, stepping in from the hallway, the room appeared rather mundane compared to the rest of the hotel interior.

Top cleaning. The New year's Eve dinner was perfect and fulfill. Staff in general very polite and available. Perfectly centered, next to a parking lot and easy to walk around town. Breakfast with differents options and fresh (except for the fruit salad).

Not exactly complain, but a suggestion and a personal taste. The fruit salad at breakfast didn't match the freshness of the rest of the offers. Seemed canned fruit, everything else was perfect.

Good place to stay in Gavle. Lovely breakfast room and view.

The parking situation is a mess. We paid for parking but there was no space for us when we arrived. The lot is about 2 blocks away from the hotel. The receptionist said they would refund me for the parking. We ended up parking on the street about 5 blocks from the hotel.

It’s my second stay and the place couldn’t be more central for arriving by train and going out and about town. The staff were all super friendly , everyone seems happy to see you and goes about their daily work in a professional and friendly manner.

Breakfast was a classic Swedish hotel spread and I really liked it. Had food for gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant individuals. Great location close to main shopping street and trains station but also very quiet during the night. Liked the bathroom. Room was quite small but had a tea/coffee station, iron and ironing board, TV, mini fridge. 24hr reception was welcome when I came back at 02.00 from a concert

The location was excellent as it was extremely close to the train station and within a short 5 min walk of everything we wanted to see (The Gavle Goat and Christmas market was our priority).

English signs at breakfast would have been helpful, and the pancakes were a bit old, but everything else was wonderful at the breakfast and in the room!

Location is perfect, you can reach any facility in the city by feet from the hotel, and the train station is 3 minutes far. Hotel is situated in the lovely old building, which looks truly grand and spectacular. I was stunned with the ceilings and the window size in our room, it was probably more than 6 m high. Heavy dark blackout curtains are perfect choice to save you from early morning light. Also staff is super-helpful and friendly, and breakfast is exceptionally rich and diverse, lots of tasty fresh food made of the best products. Highly recommend!

Shower curtains didn't save completely from the water on the floor, so the bathroom was a bit flooded.

On booking.com website features of the hotel are hot tub and sauna. This should have been removed as these have been out of order since the flood last August. Restaurant prices for evening meal looked expensive so did not eat there

Accommodation is fine. Breakfast is very tasty.

But for that price, we wanted a better room because we could hear the water pouring down above us. It was very disturbing. And the image through the window of the room to the parking lot was not attractive
