The hotel is charming. Decorated so cute, but also was clean with helpful staff. Adorable restaurant on site. Bikes you can use to ride around the pretty downtown. Walking distance to the castle and beach.

If you are going as a couple make sure you get a room with a big bed. Our room had two twins, which was fine because we were on a multi-family group trip, but my husband and I had a good chuckle about it.

the location is perfect for visiting Kalmar’s castle , art museum and center. A small dinner was included in the price. This was simple as can be expected but fine. Comfortable beds. Triple glazing so we did not even hear the roadworks going on in front of our room

one evening the restaurant was fully booked and other guests had to sit outside(it was raining) or in the lobby. Since the dinner was soup with bread and salad we went out for dinner which was fine. We didn’t want to eat soup balancing our plate while sitting on a sofa. The bathroom was very tiny even for a normal size person (room 13) room also quite small but perfect for one or two nights

Cute older hotel in a great location to walk to old town Kalmar, Kalmar Castle, and other sights. Delicious breakfast and tasty free dinner as well (although dinner is not served every night of the week). Quiet hotel with large room and comfortable beds. Pretty garden and nice patio to sit outside.

While clean, the hotel could benefit from some TLC including newer/deep cleaned furniture, paint refresh, etc. The interior of the hotel felt a bit dated and shabby.

Beautiful scenery with the traditional swedish wooden houses. Very good location, next to the beautiful park of the castle and the castle itself. Great breakfast included with everything you need and a handmade feeling to it all.

No parking spaces included (unless you reserved 1 out of 17 spots). Easy to find one nearby though. A bit small bathroom for 4 people sharing one room. Trains passing by near enough to wake up some of us, but it did not bother us too much. I did not wake up from it but one friend did.

A throughly charming hotel with beautiful interior and exterior; quaint ”manor house” type of rooms with all modern comforts; exceptionally great breakfast with ample buffet and made-to-order choices; atmospheric and cozy lounge and bar; delicious supper with no additional cost; very professional and friendly personnel. Great location, quiet but within a short walking distance to the castle and town center.

Very nice hotel, right near the castle for this interested. Good dinner and breakfast available onsite, as well as bar.

We stayed on Friday night and our room was right next to the restaurant bar outdoor area. People out being noisy until quite late. Lucky we were tired enough the sleep through it

There was no air condition in the room and the small fan provided was not enough for us and we had to go to the reception in the middle of the night to get another fan but it helped only a little...

the hotel had a lot of charm, was in a beautiful location, and the staff were friendly and helpful. While we didn’t have the free dinner, we did have the complimentary breakfast, which was wonderful.

One of the most relaxing and comfortable hotel stays I've ever had. Quiet but convenient location between the castle and the station. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Fast wifi. Spacious and sweet room. There was a cosy lounge, too, with free coffee and tea.

Poor sound insulation.

Excellent location (trully first grade just 5 min from the castle of Kalmar and old town), friendly staff, excellent breakfast (and we were offered a free supper as well but I am not sure if this is a standard).
