--The location is just beside camp Ripan and you can access ski centre and do skiing. Northern lights can be seen from the window of the room or just within a 200 meters walk. -- double sharing room has a private toilet and adjacent kitchen area and sauna access with full equipped kitchen utensils. --Budget friendly hostel type but comfortable accommodation provided with clean linens. --Morning breakfast was sufficient and good. --600 meters walk from localtraffik and important buss stop OK PARKEN!
--Its been a trend in all Kiruna accomodations to do a check ins from 15:00. They are also rigid about it. Probably a little flexible on check in times makes tourists more happy (specially in winter).

Because the room we'd originally booked hadn't been cleaned, we were allotted a bigger room - actually a small apartment - as there were no other rooms available. This was done immediately, without any quibbling - we were very impressed that we were not just asked to wait while the original room was cleaned. As we ended up staying at the Folkhogskola for 5 days instead of 2 (because of train cancellations) we very much appreciated this - the apartment was particularly good value. It was warm, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen. The location is very quiet, and the reception staff were always very helpful, too. There's also a room next to the reception where you can leave your luggage. We had time to explore the local area (away from the town) and found some lovely walks.
I honestly can't think of anything! Good breakfast, all included - but be prepared to walk outside to get to the building where the breakfast is served.

We were 6 friends (3 couples) travelling together. Our rooms were located in a separate building from the Reception & Restaurant one, but very very close, and were all on the same floor, as we asked. In our building, there were 2 well-equipped kitchens (microwaves, kettles, hobs, plates of various sizes, glasses, cups, various pans, cutlery, large fridge), the larger one having a few tables (of which a large one which could host all of us comfortably) and the small one having an attached small living room with sofa; in the basement there were also shared bathrooms, with toilets and showers, as well as a sauna, which we loved! The rooms were simple, but comfortable (with single beds). Every morning we had breakfast in the hostel restaurant: this was buffet style and a very satisfying way of starting our days! The buffet lunch was also really good, with many different options for all tastes, and a great value for money. Also dinners did not disappoint. Finally, as we arrived before the check-in time (at 3PM), they let us store our luggage in the main building for as long as we needed (they have a dedicated room). Overall, a very nice experience!
Nothing really.

The young lady on reception was very helpful with advice and research when we realised that our train connections to and from Abisko had been cancelled. The accommodation is adjacent to the Public High School on the edge of town and a few food options (and a co-op supermarket) are within walking distance. Some walks are possible nearby but the weather was too poor to attempt them when we were there. Breakfast is is a large dining hall and is filling and nutritious.
The room had a toilet and washbasin but the shower seemed to be on another floor.

I only stayed there for few hours to sleep. The kitchen seemed very clean and large, I‘ m unsure though whether it was really well equipped. The building in which I had my room (single room) was not the central building, the kitchen I describe was in here, so were shower rooms (which had a bad smell but looked clean), and my room was on a corridor, next to another room, with very little noise insulation against the other rooms. I didn’t need much and mostly needed some sleep, which I got, and the kitchen was very very clean, therefore my good rating.
Noise insulation, smell in shower rooms.

Location is quite far from the city. Taking a taxi costs alot. One need to rent a car. Breakfast was good.
The room v got was upstairs w/o a lift/elevator and had to walk 5 minutes to our building from the main building and also stairs everywhere. Carrying luggage was an issue. Had to walk in the cold to the supermarket and restaurant nearby were either closed or full as one need reservation. Must be coz of Christmas. Hence, was a challenge to look for dinning

- Incredibly good breakfast! With cooked salmon, eggs, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, vegetables, very healthy overall. - Amazing location, quiet and we have seen the northern lights from outside the building as the complex is near a hill. - Free sauna, warm rooms, hot water, self checkin - library, restaurant, play rooms, dorm like atmosphere, we had a 3 beds reservation and we had a 2 room apartment, one had the single bed, very good for snoring travelers. Tip: If u want to use the sauna let the staff know beforehand so they can leave u a key for the sauna.
- i would have liked to be notified about the sauna key (a friendly gentleman helped us) - on booking it says checkin till 9 o'clock but the property has self checkin, maybe this info should be updated as it imposes a huge advantage

I only spent two nights in the hotel room with a private bathroom and a shared kitchen, but everything was great! Breakfast is included and also the entrance to the sauna. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to see the Northern Lights because of low activity, but the position of this hotel is amazing because the view from the room over Kiruna is wonderful and behind the hotel there are the woods. Besides it is only a 20-minute walk from the bus station and the nearest grocery store is just a 10-minute walk! I highly recommend this place if you’re travelling to Kiruna!

The location was good despite being hard to find the place on Google maps. The accommodation was good and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering questions and explaining everything in detail. One of the staff even went on Google maps to show us some places. Breakfast was great and with a lot of different options. In addition, the place had a restaurant with a lot of options and a good size portion. I had a good time and would be back.
The lack of enough signs directing guests to the right location. It was quite hard to find the place.

The room was basic but comfortable. Small ensuite bathroom. Towels provided. The heating worked well. Loved the breakfast which was included. We also ate an evening meal in the restaurant and thought it was delicious and good value. It was a 30min walk from the train station which was a little tricky in the snow/ice conditions. The system for checking in out of hours was very simple and efficient.
A creaky wardrobe in the bedroom made a lot of noise every time you walked about in the room....a small inconvenience
