They have a 24h reception, great for check in with a plane landing at 11pm. Very convienently located, perfect to reach everything within Lulea City by foot. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, would stay here again and recommend it.

If you take the large steps downstairs, you get a small shock each time from the doors that are electronically locked (and can be unlocked with the keycard to your room). There is a restaurant connected to the hotel in the lobby through a door; it appeared that if the door is left open by patrons the smell of food reaches one's room even on the third floor.

This hotel is one of a kind, just beautiful, and clearly designed with guest comfort in mind. It has high ceilings, wide corridors, and comfortable places to sit. We ate our breakfast in a magnificent ballroom. Our room was lovely too. We had a view over the park, two arm chairs for sitting, plus a desk with chair. There was even a seat near the door where we could take off our shoes. The bathroom had plenty of room for our toiletry bags on a shelf under the sink. Breakfast was varied, with both hot and cold options. Some unexpected extras like stewed strawberries, were delicious. There were 2 different tables for breakfast cereals. Note: muesli was on the gluten free table (I didn't find this until the third day). Staff were polite and kind. It was one of the few hotels we've stayed, where staying longer would be delight.

There was only one thing that detracted from our stay at this delightful hotel. The eggs served at breakfast could be improved. There were grey patches in the scrambled eggs, even on one morning when we arrived at the earliest sitting. I understand that this happens when eggs have been sitting too long, and they are still okay to eat, but who wants to eat grey eggs. Not me. Instead I decided to try what I thought were soft boiled eggs one morning. Alas, the two I got were warm, but hard boiled.

The hotel is located in the center of Lulea (well, Lulea is very small anyways). You can take nice walks in the port or the woods very easily. You can also swim in a lake nearby but don't do it because the mosquitos will eat you before you get in the water (but this has nothing to do with the hotel, right? :) The room that I had was very nice. The breakfast was excellent, in a room with nice lake view.

Lulea is a small city in Sweden and it was our first destination for our Lapland trip. I believe Elite Stadshotellet is the best accommodation option if you would like to stay in a "hotel". Room was clean and met our expectations. Breakfast was superb. Hotel was also offering free coffee available any time at the Reception area. There are many restaurant located close to the hotel and we really enjoyed to have couple of drinks at The Bishops Arms during our stay.

The hotel was very good. Clean rooms, excellent bed, great breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I drove about 700 km and we all were quite hungry. When we arrived we had a very unpleasant "surprise". The hotel restaurant was fully booked, but not by the hotel guests. There was ice hockey game in the city, and they literarily kicked us out from the restaurant, claiming that they are waiting for the people from the game. we had to walk for about one hour from restaurant to restaurant, until we finally find a table!!! I travel a lot all around the world, but this is the first time when I could not use the hotel restaurant. This was extremely unpleasant and the restaurant staff was very unpolite.

Stadshotellet is a magnificent 120-year-old building -- one of the most impressive historic buildings in all of Luleå. It would have been nice if the hotel's interior were more in harmony with the exterior. The sleek and polished interior is like any modern hotel in Scandinavia, which is a bit boring.

Excellent location and facilities. Old world charm with modern furnishings and technology. Outstanding customer service by the reception staff who were very kind enough to check me in early and a late check out. I was able to be highly productive finishing many work tasks due to this generous endeavour. Thank you Elite.

Great location on the moan street of town. Nice breakfast. A nice restaurant and a pub on the first floor (some of the only places in town that are open late). The pub was easily the liveliest place we went to during our time in the city (otherwise it was a very quiet place).

Elegant breakfast room, this is a hotel with a history. Classic building, in a smart part of the town.

Unfortunately, because of a national holiday, most of the town including bars and restaurants were closed., except for the hotel's own Bishops Arms "pub" with food, with a somewhat sterile atmosphere.
