The staff were amazing, especially front of house - they went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. Breakfast was mouthwatering - so much choice, everything fresh, could have stayed there all day! Rooms were comfortable and well equiped, perfect for our stay duration. Location of hotel was excellent for shopping and access to both harbour areas. Lots of good eating and drinking choices.

Main restaurant could have been open - it was post Xmas but that would have been nice. Also, to have had both our rooms next to each other but a real minor issue.

The location is great, overlooking the square and just a few minutes walk from the bus stop from airport. We arrived slightly early but our room was ready and we were able to check in. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable and cozy. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the square, a great view. Breakfast is served in the ballroom, was varied and plentiful. Coffee and tea and available in reception but you can also ask for a kettle for your room. Overall great hotel, would recommend and stay again.

An old building that radiates grandeur. The location is great. Next to a park with a playground for kids. Short walk to the theater. Main entrance is to the main shopping street of the city with just some 150m walk to the closest shopping centre. We had a family room for our group of four and there was plenty of space in the room. Very high ceiling height in the room which made the room feel spacious. The room was quiet. The beds were huge, that really surprised us. Our room had a partial view to the sea. The breakfast was great and served in a beautiful gallery. The kids received small activity packages when we checked in with a small reward when tasks like tasting pancakes at the breakfast or making faces in front of the mirrors were done. Parking in the same building, even if access to it is a bit difficult.

Parking is in the same building but since it's an old building there is no direct elevator access and instead you have to walk through an inner courtyard and a short distance on the street to get to your parked car. The garage has been made when cars were smaller so it's a very tight fit for modern cars and the ceiling is low. There's a playroom for kids, I guess, at least we happened to find a room with a ping-pong table and some toys and drawing equipment, but the room was really lightly equipped. It's almost not worth mentioning.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean and window was glorious, showed the church where my mother had been baptised as an infant and made her so happy to see it. Breakfast was so well-appointed and generous. Great for any diet types. Wow. Loved it. Staff was responsive when we had a question and when we lingered after breakfast to visit with family we do not live near, no one rushed us out. Service and bussing the tables were almost not noticed it was so well done. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Wish we had more time to stay longer!! Loved every minute. Great bathrooms too.

I wasn't sure I had booked the correct hotel because of the bad reviews. But wow what a place. Fantastic venue. Huge hotel with absolutely huge rooms. Well mine was. Big bed and big bathroom. Two windows with a decent view. Big TV. I didn't turn on. Because there is so much to do in and around the town. Nearby is a sportsbar that I got to watch premier League football. There is walking out on a frozen lake. And so much more. Back to the hotel which is very busy, there is a restaurant on site. I had lunch there. And breakfast in a different part of the hotel was in the biggest room I have ever seen for eating breaky. Lots to choose from. And lastly the reception front desk is manned by wonderful staff especially Ida. Thanks for your help and advice.

Bed was too soft.

Super friendly staff. When booking the Superior room I asked for a room over looking Norra hamnen with a sea view facing north so we could see if the night sky had potential for going out and watch the Aurora 'northern light's. Susanne managed our booking wonderfully! And we did get to experience the Aurora too one evening down by the water :-) Great variety in the breakfast buffet in a magnificent banquet hall. Friendly and attentive breakfast staff! The location is perfect with easy access to restaurants, shopping, museum, the central bus stop and the theater in Norra hamnen. Will certainly return to this hotell again when in Luleå.

Minor issue, a bit of draft from the window when the cold wind was coming from the north. The hotell provides electric heaters if needed :-)

The people working there were extremely kind, full of positive energy and professional, and specifically the people working at the breakfast left us an amazing impression.

I felt that the markings on the products at breakfast has some room to improve. I was surprised that the lactose-free products were behind a pillar, and I ended up not taking any chances with dairy products on the 'normal' side, since I didn't know which of them had lactose.

Breakfast is Amazing so tasty and more than plenty choice, breakfast area is even more amazing, staff were smiling and welcome. All our requests were accommodated, location is perfect, very central. Lovely room with the view of the frozen lake and the bridge. Definitely visiting this 150 years old hotel again.

The electric vehicle charger point was not working. Parking entry is very tight so be careful while entering the parking lot. Parking is ~200 SEK per night. No free drinking water, you must buy from the minibar after paying ~1500 SEK per night.

- Missing fridge and the max room temperature was a bit lower for my taste, off season, maybe they were conserving energy
