Super convenient for the station, literally across the vorplatz and you are there. Check in was easy, breakfast was good (be aware you are NOT allowed to take anything with you for lunch!). Our room overlooked the vorplatz so expected it could be noisy, but it wasn't. The soundproofing was good. The room was a little dated but it was in good order. Nice to have a kettle in the room - although finding somewhere to plug it in was a challenge. WiFi worked well. Would very happily stay here again.

No step free access from the street. Short on power sockets in the room. Lighting in the room wasn't the best.

Great location directly opposite the railway station. We could watch the station traffic and the Matterhorn Gotthard railway from our balcony. The hotel looks a bit retro inside and is a little bit worn in places, but is very clean, comfortable and functional, and we had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. A pleasant continental buffet was provided for breakfast. The town of Brig is interesting to walk around with a good choice of restaurants in the evening. We parked in the Parkhaus Bahnhof (Station multistorey car park), as the parking at the front of the hotel has only a few spaces and is meter parking. The Parkhaus Bahnhof was not very expensive and it was easy to wheel our cases from there across the station forecourt to the hotel. There was a lift inside the hotel for the cases :-)

We were, on balance, grateful that we had a room overlooking the station, as my partner is a railway enthusiast and was delighted with the view. But it was a bit bright at night, however, with some traffic noise from the road. We discovered that Swiss electric sockets are of a unique design, however there is an electrical shop a couple of minutes walk away that sells EU to Swiss adapters.

Check-in was easy. The receptionist was friendly and gave me the option to either speak English or German. I opted for German and happily did the check-in in German - which was a good confidence building exercise (I hadn't spoken much German over the previous 10 years!) The room was clean and comfortable. There was a good range of food for breakfast and the staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. Again, they were happy to let me talk to them in German - which was appreciated. I should add that I did hear them speaking to some other guests in English. The location of the hotel was very convenient. The hotel is conveniently located only a couple of minutes walk from Brig SBB Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (railway) platforms are virtually straight outside the hotel. All the local bus stops were also located just about 1 minute's walk away from the hotel! So, very convenient for anyone using public transport!

I can't think of anything that I did not like.

The personnel was very helpful and informative. They helped us a lot with regards to the car parking. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the highway and the train station, neither of which could be heard at all. The room and bathroom was very spacious, having the option of getting two single beds was great, and the breakfast offer was very complete and tasty. Overall, very nice quality to price.

Nothing remarkable, at most the fact that there was no minibar in the room to store a couple of things.

2nd time at this hotel. I was breaking up a train journey to italy. Excellent location as right opposite station and 5 minutes walk from the centre. Very friendly and kind staff. Hotel is clean but a bit dated looking. Very large room with balcony with a view of station and mountains. Room was comfy and had table and chairs and kettle with tea/coffee facilities

Only a minor issue but bathroom floor in the room I had looks very old/worn and needs replacing .

The Hotel Victoria is a very pleasant, attractive, traditional hotel which is very conveniently situated opposite Brig railway stations but it is not noisy because of that. The staff are very friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. I was very pleased with my room which was spacious and had all the facilities I needed. The breakfast is really excellent, very tasty and plentiful and takes place in a very pleasant room. The cost of breakfast is also included in the price of one’s room. The Hotel Victoria restaurant is also excellent, has a good variety of meals available at very reasonable prices and the restaurant staff are also very friendly. The Hotel Victoria is an enjoyable place to stay and has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and it is also very good value for money.

The hotel is right in front of the main train station (you won't miss it). The breakfast spread was good. The hotel lift is old-fashioned, which was fairly interesting to us. There are several restaurants and retail shops nearby on the same street.

The receptionist may not always be at the desk to answer your questions (even in the afternoon), but you can always phone in to contact a staff upstairs.

Beautiful hotel - right in front of station. Staff were so lovely and good breakfast. Huge room and bathroom - old style but this was the best part - really charming. Man in reception was especially helpful and kind. And funny Perfect place to travel to Zermatt - went to fabulous fondu restaurant called Walluserstuba - just up road - authentic and delicious fondue

The location is great to catch the Glacier Express the next morning as the hotel is right across from the station. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly with the check in process. There is an elevator for those heavy bags! The European style breakfast was great and served early so plenty of time to catch the train. Overall is it is good value.

Just across the road from the railway station. Easy walk into town centre . Very close to supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and bars. The owner gave us great information about a day trip to Domodossola over the Simplon Pass by bus for the Saturday market and return via rail. Fantastic trip that we wouldn't have known about if he hadn't mentioned it.

With quite a few stairs to access the hotel it is unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
