An interesting place. It has the feel of a small campus. You sleep in a "dorm" room. Clean and comfortable, but very spartan. Nothing seems to have changed for the last 40 years, but that's part of the charm. You are transported to a time when students fro developing countries gathered there to hear Nelson Mandela and Paulo Freire discuss their ideas about freedom and liberation, and Melina Mercouri danced in the hallways. Breakfast was good enough for me: coffee, toast, yogurt. I did not order anything from the kitchen. Beautiful grounds and location in the diplomatic missions' neighborhood, close to the airport but far away from everything else. Bus connections to the city center (#20 not far away). Can't beat the price for what you get. I would stay there again if traveling for business (academic research).

I expected more of a bohemian groovy atmosphere, but nah. Only some guys smoking pot at the entrance (under the "do not smoke" sign).

The facility is located outside the city center in the very pleasant natural surrounding. It takes approximately 50 minutes to reach the center walking and we enjoyed it. In every case there are several bus lines going to the center. It is 30 minute walking to the airport. The breakfast included buffet with cereals, cheese and jam, jogurt and bread (gluten free bread included). The staff was very friendly.

Internet was not as fast as I expected. No other objection.

Fantastic location close to UN offices but almost in the country. You meet interesting people at John Knox so very different from a faceless hotel. Due to its location it is really quiet so great for sleeping

It’s not a 5* hotel and so you have to consider what you pay for. Some of the furnishings are a bit old and tired but beds comfortable and showers hot.

That I had my own room and bathroom mainly. Breakfast as well, it was fairly simple but very satisfying at the same time. WIFI was reasonably good

It’s basic accommodation but that was fine for me as it had what is most important

Breakfast cafeteria style was fine, no frills but very adequate. Rooms were nice and what we expected. Bathroom was adequate not new, small, but the shower was hot with good water pressure. Rooms have two single beds kind of dorm room style which is fine if you know in advance which we did. Location is a bud ride and walk from town but it’s very pretty and quiet location. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Coffee could have been better. The toilet ran a little loudly after flushing.

I had the room to myself which was fine. Breakfast was super. Staff was helpful.

I thought I could do some research on John Knox or other Reformers, but there was virtually no library and no literature i was offered. I could not figure out what its mission or purpose was.I thought I would have more opportunity to talk to others as I do in hostels, but the vibe was pretty impersonal and I felt out of place. I was not prepared for how far outside the city it was and how far it was from the bus stop. I was also surprised that there was no recycling bins in the building as Switzerland is so concious of its importance.

I was amazed by the arrangment the property did for late arrival guests. The communication before the arrival was excellent. The cleannliness was top: they have cleaned my room every day and the kitchen (visible from the restaurant) is shining! To end l liked the 60s features of the buidling.

Hotel located at one of the top areas in the city, felt partial chillness even in summer visit. Receptionists responded way is very good. Comparatively find as cheap price of stay if searched in last minute too

There is lagging of facilities, but we focused on cost hence got little interruption, the hotel doesn't provide even a single print free of charge even we were stayed there. They charged for that TV is not there, only Wifi+LAN Too far from bus stop, hence the hotel may provide the shuttle service for the client free of cost As an Indian, we felt little hot in the hotel, even its in hill area, they may provide table fan during the stay Breakfast may included the items wit respect to where the clients from

The breakfast was great, continental selection. Good start to the day The guy on reception (Jean Pierre I think) was helpful and professional beyond measure, he looked after us as we arrived late and sorted out our best way into town in the morning. A big thanks to you

Bed could have been better, but otherwise very happy

The food served at breakfast was of high quality and plentiful. The coffee was delicious, and the staff were friendly. The location is excellent, the village is very charming and peaceful. You can easily reach the city center within a short distance as the number 20 buses pass by frequently.
