The location of the Seehof is hard to beat. The views of the Walensee are amazing, and its proximity to the lake and hiking trails is fantastic. The staff are also very accommodating, and despite our minimal command of German we were able to communicate just fine with the front desk and restaurant staff.

The proximity to the lake is a double-edged sword. If you visit during the summer, it's a good idea to keep the windows open at night to cool off the room. That creates an opportunity for bugs to come in off of the lake if you have any lights on, and they will congregate around ANY light that you have on in your room, even a laptop screen. So you have to plan accordingly. The lake is also an attractive gathering spot for locals and almost-locals, which means that the area around the hotel can get noisy at night - especially on the weekend. It was a bit frustrating listening to kids rev their motorbike engines and play loud music through windows that we had to keep open to keep the room cool. It usually quieted down around midnight.

It is without a doubt the top choice for both business and family travelers, and I wholeheartedly recommend it as the go-to hotel in the area.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about Hotel Seehof Superior. Every aspect of my stay, from the service to the location, exceeded all expectations. It is a flawless hotel that leaves no room for disappointment.

Great location nearby the lake and you can enjoy the lake view at the room, staff was very friendly and can provide information for the tourists, room is clean and comfortable

Breakfast was only average, not so many things to choose but ok. Hotel is not easy to reach by public transportation, far from the train station and the bus comes once an hour, need to plan in advance.

Perfect location by the lake in Walenstadt. Simple and clean rooms. - I believe the bathroons have been recently renovated.

We were very happy with the breakfast, but there is no hot food so I can understand why some people give low ratings if thaf is what you expect.

Maybe replace the the bathroom slide door with a proper door. And maybe cover the glaswindows between bathroom and sleepibg room with milk glass

Very good location by the lake in Walenstadt with beautiful view. Simple and clean rooms. Nice restaurant with tasty food (both at breakfast and at dinner). Friendly and helpful staff. Good wi-fi and free parking.

a charming country Pub on a lake .. the weather was wet and windy but all that was set aside by the hotels charm .. restaurant was memorable

I liked the location and the food and it was very clean.

I didn’t like the bed the matrase was too soft but it is my personal preference that like harder matrases.

Had to wait a looong time for our food as restaurant so busy. Probably good idea to book a table when you book room as we had to eat late as it was fully booked.
