Close to the train and night market. Very accommodating staff. They gave directions to my taxi driver and also waited for me to arrive even if it's a bit past their work hours (reception is only until 6pm). They also allowed me to store my luggage for a few days for a fee. They have luggage elevator for luggage which was very much appreciated. They have laundry, kitchen/dining area and social area.

Room is a bit cramped, not enough space for luggage. The bed also creaks a bit with movement from top bunk. Room has its own ensuite toilet and bath, so smell and mist from toilet and bath can go into the room.

The hostel is very clean and located in the very center of Chiayi, close to both the night market and the train station (from where the bus to Alishan departs). Many shops and restaurants nearby, also access to public transportation. The bathroom was also perfect, the bed was comfortable to relax after a whole day of walking. Easy check-in and check-out anytime, water dispensers available at multiple spots.

I didn't like two things - our room was near the street, so it was possible to hear motorbikes and cars passing by during the night. It wasn't a big issue for us, because we were very tired after all the hiking, but I suppose it might be a problem for some other guests. The second thing is the price - I think 60 USD for a double room is too much, especially given the fact that it is a relatively simple hostel room. Those two things are why I am deducting two points.

My dorm room was on the ground floor so very convenient. They provide slippers, personnal lockers, the bathrooms are not shared with everyone but only with the people of the room, it was very close to the station and the Wenhua Night Market (6 and 10min by foot) The staff was really nice and smiley! They helped me keep the same bed because I wanted to stay a night longer and did it quickly! The social room was okay. The bed matress was okay.

There was no lift, it wasn't a real problem for me since I was on the ground floor but for those with big or many pieces of luggage, it can be a bit bothersome. The kitchen was on the 5th floor so a bit discouraging.

The location is extremely close to the train station as well as to a lot of shops/restaurants and the night market which was very convenient! I also liked the value of the private room. It had everything I needed for a one night stay. Another plus was that they have coin-operated washer and dryer machines (you have to pay but I'm happy it was available for use and includes laundry detergent you can use). Even though the staff only spoke a little bit of English, they were very friendly to me and tried their best to help me! :)

No complaints, this stay met my expectations.

Close to the station and very friendly staff. They also helped us book a scooter which was very kind. Clean rooms and cool social area. Laundry and a kitchen also present. The area has lot’s of great restaurants a few minutes away.

The water after showering did not drain very well so the bathroom was pretty wet most of the time after showering. If you have a street side room it can get a little loud but unless you are a very light sleeper it’s not that big of an issue

I stayed here so that I could visit Alishan. It is in a great location. Very close to the train and buses as well as one of the night markets and some of the other sights in Chiayi. The room is quite small, but as a solo traveler I did not mind. It is a fair price for a private room and bathroom. There is no natural light in the room and the lights arent very bright, so it might not be a place you want to hang out, but this didn't bother me because I was out most of the day and only returned to go to sleep.

I like the friendly staff manning the counter , the roof top common area, & the washing machine & dryer machine ! Most importantly the shower was excellent as they use good quality shower facilities! The curtains surrounding the bed provide excellent privacy as I was staying in a 4 bedder room.

Location is lovely, 5 minutes walk from Chiayi train station. Level 5 public area was lovely, you can get drinking water, you can use their kitchen utensils, the outdoor seating area was peaceful and quiet. I've used their washer and dryer, they worked very well.

My mattress was laid on the floor, it might not be comfortable for those with back or knee problems.

Great and friendly staff! Free tea and coffee at the first floor. can store luggage first before check-in so can explore chiayi earlier. Bed light is good, curtain provided, bed is average. Items/facilities there are with their brand logo so looks organised and professional, facilities are well maintained. In the hostel there are a lot of recommendation (place to go, opening time, closing time, what to eat) on the wall so definitely easier for impromptu travellers. Fifth floor common area. Great place to make friends

No towel toothbrush toothpaste provided. Should be able to buy at counter I think. the room is small so can imagine could be very squeezy when 4 people are in the same room, waiting for only one toilet! but I was with another roommate so it is fine (total 2). Fifth floor is with open area, night super lot mosquito so go at your own risk :p
