We arrived 2,5 hours later than expected around midnight. Although the host left the hostel at 9pm already, he opened the door for us and told us what we needed to know. Thanks for this exceptional flexibility. The location is very good, in the center of Hualien close to the train station. The beds were very comfortable, the room was well cleaned, the common area was a nice place to chill. the next morning we left early to Taroko National Park. We were able to check out early without any problems. We had a great stay and the best sleep in a long time!

Brad is the best host I've ever had. As soon as I arrived to the hostel he kindly asked what my plans in Hualien were and helped me arrange the whale watching tour and later rent a scooter. Also, as the Moon Festival was approaching, he gave me to try a few samples of traditional snacks. In addition, I enjoyed chats with him about the Taiwanese society - Brad is a great conversationalist. As for the hostel, I loved the interior design and facilities in general.

The mattress was perhaps rather thin, but I also understand that everyone has different tastes.

Really close to the train station and convenience stores, easy to find, the owner was really kind and helpful with recommendations and I really appreciated the tea/coffee/snacks provided. Rooms were comfy and loved that each bed in our twin room had it's own TV, though we didn't really need to use it. It was nice to have some space to sit downstairs.

Slightly annoying having to go down a full flight of stairs to use the toilet and showers, especially if it's the middle of the night. Close to the station but a bit futher from the town centre, but can easily get on a bus from the station over the road.

It is quite near the Hualien station. There's a coffee shop in front of it. Even the room that I stayed in was small, but the bed was spacious. There's a locked locker outside and inside of the room (near the bed). And what I liked the most was, there's a bidet in both toilets, upstairs and downstairs. As an Asian, I really appreciate it. One more thing, the plug socket near the bed is a universal plug. So, you don't need a travel adapter to use it. If you are sensitive to dust, don't be worried because the place is clean, including the bathroom and toilet.

The size of the room was quite small.

The hostel is located in a great spot, it's just a 6 min walk from the train/bus stn and is next to a grocery store for any other items you might need. Brad, the hostel owner was super nice and helpful. I went to the recommended food spots and was not disappointed. The bathroom area is also very clean. The lounge area to eat/drink/hang out is small but clean and tidy. Really appreciated the free amenities provided (instant coffee, some small snacks, etc)

I stayed in the 4 bed mixed dorm and it's really tiny. There was basically just enough space to open the door. But it wasn't a huge problem since I was just there for two nights.

The owner was friendly and provided instructions on how to get to hostel prior to arrival. Our quadruple room was on the top floor and as there was only stairs, the owner was kind enough to carry our luggages up. The bedroom was clean, modern and comfy, with all bathroom amenities provided. All the basic amenities were provided in the shared kitchen on the ground floor. Coffee/tea/biscuits were provided. There's a shared balcony where you can hang your laundry. Accommodation is walking distance from Hualien station.

Bedroom was a bit small for four people. Only stairs in the accommodation. You have to take a bus to the main shopping/eating area.

Everything is great in this hostel. The owner is very friendly and helpful, he can give you good recommendations. The beds have maximum privacy with good curtains and walls and each have a plug, light and quite big locker. There was a bathroom inside my room but also more of them outside. It was clean. The location is excellent for going by train or bus to Taroko, also a supermarket is next door. There is free water, tea, instant coffee, and many maps available. I would come again.

The matress is relatively thin. I still slept well on it, but a bigger one would be more comfortable.

Very well organised hostel with a helpful owner who speaks English good enough. We spent one night in the dorm and two nights in the double bunked bed room. The Dorm was spacious and comfy with lockers (not big though). Air con and fresh air circulation worked. Comfy bed with a plug. Everything was clean, also the bathrooms. Drinking water is available. The common room at the reception is not very cozy for hanging out for a while but does the job for talking to people. WiFi worked perfectly.

Only two, no, three things that I was missing... Towels (no possibility to rent) and a kitchen. And the double bunked bed room is pretty small.

Brad runs an excellent hostel.. Cmine card opens front door, dorm door and security locker. Adequate space under bed for backpack... Clothes hanger on wall.. Spotless shower washroom..Good ventilation from window.. Quiet.... Nice size dining, common room area @ reception..small kitchen with Fridge, free tea/ coffee...

Signage could be more prominent at front to locate hostel.. Wifi not as strong Highly n room as @ recetion area.

The location was really good; 5 min from the bus/train station and 20 min from the centre. It’s in the main road, which has grocery shops, restaurants and shops. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Brad, the owner, really took the time to explain the surronding areas and the activities. He’s always up for a chat and gives you local snacks to try! Recommend - the Giant bike rental is 5min away, would highly recommend renting a bike and riding around the coast line. The common area is nice and quiet. There is a small pantry/fridge if you bring your own food. The space welcomes you to meet and chat with people, which is nice! The space also has coffee, tea and some snacks. The room was very clean and the beds as well. They are very quiet and you’ll probably be able to meet your roomates. The showers were a bit rustic, but clean and well maintained overall.

The room was VERY VERY small for 4 people. It felt a bit claustrophobic with no windows. The bathroom is downstairs, and you have to walk near the common area with a see-through door, which lacks privacy.
