Initially I was a bit anxious booking the hotel because of the room photos, but I can clarify now that we have stayed there for over a week: - Bathrooms are separated from the main living space via sliding walls and doors! great for privacy. Initially, I thought they did not have bathroom doors & separation by looking at the picture. I was wrong. - each room has a de-humidifier so that rooms/bathrooms never get steamy after a long shower - Front desk and cleaning staff were exceptional! Everyone was very accommodating, helpful and lovely to interact with. During our stay there was a typhoon, the malls and hospitals were open and we wanted to grab something to eat. The staff directed us to a safer route to the mall next door, by going down to b5 parking lot and heading into the mall entrance through there. It was so fast and easy! - close to Family Mart, about 3-4min walk - close to Mitsukoshi mall, about 5min walk - Pool was larger than expected and the lifeguards were always on their toes - towels and water bottles provided at the pool area - water station to fill up on water on every floor - shuttle bus for tour provided by the hotel, they even have a "party bus" I believe on Friday/Saturday nights. Book in advance for shuttle/party bus.

Silks Place Tainan is exceptional. From the Hotel Door attendants to the Reception Staff, they were welcoming and helpful. The Concierge staff were ready to assist with ordering taxis and helpful directions to places and recommendations to local delights. The room was immaculate, well set up and comfortable. True to pictures. Breakfast at the Hotel is highly recommended, the wide variety of local delights, it is indeed our way to begin the day. The location of Hotel is central and easy to venture out. It is also walking distance to Hayashi Dept Store (Must visit) plus many other sights to see. From arrival to departure, it has been delightful. We would certainly return to Silks Place.

Silks staff were very helpful. The first room had a off smell but the staff helped us changed rooms. Entry to silks was looks good at night it was a middle location for me to travel around Taiwan. The hotel has a taxis stand at the front and the staff help get you a taxi, which was fantastic help and great service. Silks was not close to much which is why I had taxised to all areas.

The first room had a smell but i got our rooms changes. Fantastic staff. The hotel wasn't the newest hotel but was good for its purpose of being a place to rest.

The rooms were very well equipped (Dyson hairdryer, hair straightener on request, clothes steamer…). The morning free coffee and pastries in the reception area, and the free drinks and nibbles late afternoon, were very much appreciated. The location very close to two metro lines was convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was quite expensive. The restaurant service was a bit hurried (although that seemed to be the case everywhere in Taiwan).

- Very conveniently located close to sights such as Confucius Temple, Hayashi, etc. - The staff spoke good English and were very kind and helpful - Our stay was excellent value for money - The room was large, new and elegantly decorated - Western breakfast was good (with some Chinese and international dishes too) - I liked that there was a bakery and café in the lobby

- The TV in the room was useless: small, far from the bed, and Chromecast didn't work - The toilet was not separated from the shower area - I wish there was a spa or at least some massages you could book in your room - We ate at the Robin's Steakhouse and while it was good, we felt that it was a bit overpriced. On the other hand, it's probably stupid to go to Tainan and eat at a fancy western steakhouse...

Our two-bed family room (but only for the two of us) was huge. We like the hotel and its location. PRO: large room with a table to sit down and eat fruits or snacks. Sliding doors can close off the bathroom area from the rest of the room.

CON: Clothes were hanging in the open, no closet door to close it off. No shelf /drawer to unpack my T-shirts, so we lived off our suitcases. Not enough electrical plugs near the beds to charge iPhone/iPad/lap top.

The room was beautiful. The location was great as a base for exploring Tainan. We enjoyed the gym and pool. The room included a welcome basket with snacks and a nice amount of drinks in the fridge.

Perhaps this is to be expected in a tropical climate, but the room generally felt humid unless the AC was very cold. This did not impact our sleep in any way but it did feel damp at times.

Extremely clean Friendly staff Beautiful views

Needs maintenance, my room had loose towel hooks and broken curtains, which took me out of the experience. Hotel staff were too attentive for my liking, I like to experience privacy when exiting and entering the building, but you are greeted every time you enter and staff will escort you into your taxi. They are trained to cater to you, but I found this style of service to be annoying. If you want to have a quiet stay in Tainan with little attention paid to you and your daily life, than this isn’t the place for you.

Very very spacious, great layout of the room, good location, restaurants on site were wonderful and great price, located right behind a shopping mall, lovely staff, baby cot was already laid out when we arrived, bath tub was wonderful. A face mask was provided on Day 1 which was such a lovely touch. We even booked and tried the 36 tea shot at the hotel's bar which was an amazing and unique experience. Would 100% come back to this hotel.

Clean. Quiet location. Close to MRT. Good size room for Asia. Two women working in the breakfast room were very attentive and hard working. They frequently replenished the food and picked up the used plates and silverware. Loved the free water, tea and coffee.

Room furniture could use an upgrade. Could have more variety of western foods for breakfast (scrambled eggs, non glucose added jams, different types of breads)
