The hotel is in a superb location, no more than 2 minutes walk from the XinBeithou metro station. There a couple of good mini marts right next to the hotel, and a number of excellent places to eat within 5 minute walk of the hotel. The main attraction of the hotel itself was that it was a hot spring spa, we had an excellent marble bath tab suitable for two people which we filled with water direct from the Beitou hotspring. It was an excellent to come and luxuriate in the bath after a day out sight seeing. The room was a generous and comfortable.

There were no wine glasses or corkscrew in the room. I suspect the hotel caters mainly to Asian guests, and drinking wine in the evening isn't something that's really part of the culture. Reception was able to supply a corkscrew and we made do with ricebowls for the wine, in lieu of glasses. There were also a small number of mosquitos in the area, so buying some spray at the mini mart is a good investment.

Nice size room, comfortable beds. Front desk was very nice and accommodating. We have to give our keys to them every time we go out as there is only one copy, which we found odd but nothing bad about it. Kinda nice as you don't have to worry about losing them. Breakfast served in the morning was nice and delicious. Variety of western and asian cuisine. They were given in a timely manner as well.

The top of the kettle was dusty and had some debris on it, and the fridge door on the outside was pretty scuffed up. You ask the front desk if you want your room cleaned, and so we did. They gave us fresh towels and linens, but they did not refill the toilet paper so we ran out and had to ask the front desk for some, and I'd used a cup to make some tea earlier, and they did not clean that cup. Shower/bath does not have a curtain or glass screen so when you use the showerhead, water can get out of the bath tub and onto the floor. But it was manageable for us.

Great location: train station is literally on the opposite street, not even 2mins walk from hotel. Bus stop is opposite hotel entrance. Parking (free) available if you are driving. Good rooms: Rooms are spacious for 3pax, bed comfortable, there’s a natural hotspring tub in your own hotel room if you wanna soak. Superb staffs: Staffs very very friendly and helpful when asking for directions to places. There is a Carrefour next door, along with Starbucks and Mc’D. KFC and Watsons on opposite street too. Great location, not noisy even with all the hustle and bustle going on.

The location was good, next to the Xin Bei Tou train line. Room was clean, bath tub was great. Hot spring water was quick to fill and easy to cool with the taps on the side. Smelt like sulfur due to the spring water, but it was a great experience to have. Sat in the tub for more than an hour getting wrinkly as tub was just easy to relax in.

Layout of the room was weird, like it was a bigger room that had been cut, There was a weird pillar and a unusable corner. The room we were in was also facing the backside of another building with a compressor staring right at us. We kept the curtains and windows closed.

Strategic location - 3 min walking distance from XinBeitou MRT Station, - bus stand exactly opposite hotel to many places of interest, - many convenient places to eat (the nearby KFC served very delicious egg-tart!) - Very helpful staffs at Tourist Information Centre which was located exactly at the Exit of MRT Station 2. Room was nice - loved the whirlpool bathtub with hot-spring water. 3. Breakfast was above average. 4. Very friendly receptionist that spoke reasonably good English.

Location was perfect (close to the park and historic sites, shops and convenience stores), staff was friendly, bilingual, and professional, room was cleaned every day, free breakfast was just right, laundry facility was available, and we got to stay in the Sakura room with onsen water, ofuro and sauna -- a very nice alternative to our earlier planned Japan side trip. Oh, I forgot to mention all the wonderful (with certificates of authenticity) paintings and other works of art in the hallways.

This is not a complaint. Our daughter came with my wife and I on our trip to Beitou, but the Sakura room was essentially a two-person room. There was a sofa aside from the king-sized bed but the sofa was not the kind that folded into an extra bed. The hotel wanted to bring another bed in but we thought the room would have been too cramped. Anyway, we appreciated the hotel staff's help and kindness.

Tub and sauna in the room was luxurious. Staff brought in a fan, this helped us sleep. Yay. Beitou district is outside your door, great street food and some upscale sit down restaurants within walking distance. Spur line of metro is across the street with really fun car design, it is worth a ride. Super convenient location across the street from a nice park. Staff are fast and courteous, helpful. Not sure how many non Taiwanese people stay here but they were so patient with us foreigners.

Room was carpeted, hard to cool down, ac was not strong. It looks like you can control the ac from your room, but the buttons only really control the fan speed. AC is centrally controlled, ac in dining room is not strong. Weekday breakfast better than buffet, pretty good food overall. Lobby is just a counter, no place to wait or hang out. Beitou main station is 15 min walk, tricky streets and sidewalks, but safe, fun area.

The location of this hotel is great, just a few minutes walk from the MRT station. What we like the most is, we can enjoy the hot springs right in our hotel room. There are lot of restaurants nearby, the ones we went are pretty good.

The hotel is more than 10 years old, the decorations and interior of the room are outdated, and we received an old traditional key to unlock of our room, I was expecting a get card key.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to experience the Beitou hotsprings together. The bathing facilities were fantastic, our room had a huge Japanese-style stone bath with both hot spring and regular taps, and a small sauna in the corner which could fit one person at a time. The room itself was comfortable, the location was outstanding (a 5 minute walk from the start of the Beitou hot spring area), and the breakfast buffet had a mix of both Taiwanese and Western dishes.

Nothing could have been improved

The room is wonderful! We happily used both the sauna and hot spring tub. It was a great experience. We just regret that we didn't book at least 1 more day before continuing our travels. 4 days is the minimum to fully enjoy all the facilities.

The room doesn't have a heating, which is normal in Taiwan. So it can be quite cold during January when we went. But it's definitely not a huge problem, you just gotta use the sauna more!
