Everything. The room is spacious and toilet is spacious. You feel like you’re in Japan without being in Japan. The view from the restaurant is stunning. The Japanese breakfast is delicious and I regret that we only stayed for one night. Of course it is hard to find the place, regardless where you stay on the mountain you will get lost as it is just like Venice but on the mountain. But the owner/B&B staff was kind and helpful enough to come up to the top to get us. My tips is not to bring too many luggages. Just bring what you need as it could be difficult to walk down and up the stairs.

Our room was lovely and spacious. It was nice to stay in a Japanese style room. The veranda is big with a beautiful view. The views from the breakfast room are also spectacular.

As Jiufen is built on a slope and this hotel is situated high up, getting back up to the hotel is hard work. It took us ten minutes to slowly walk up from the old street. The staff could have given us more information about the place, such as that there is only one place open for breakfast down at the old street area. Now we did not get any other info than how to get to the hotel and from there down to the old street.

The room and amenities were exceptionally clean. Toilet was spacious with 2 shower heads, one for standing bath and one for the bathtub. Bed is simple futon bed on flat wooden bed frame, no thick mattress like typical bed but was surprising comfortable. Wifi and TV box was appreciated. Location is good but can be easy to get lost as its in the middle of a few buildings away from the big road, remember to bookmark in google maps to guide yourself. Breakfast was delicious (prepared by innkeeper) and the restaurant was pretty with a nice view over Jiufen, great for photos. Price was very reasonable at about 2000 NTD including breakfast in my case as it was the simpler room without Mountain or Sea view.

The owner was very kind enough to pick us up at the meeting point near the hotel. The room was just like a typical Japanese bnb, so you can feel being in Japan while visiting Taiwan!! The view from the balcony was very nice. The facility in the room is also good enough. The breakfast was superb!!

If the toilet has a shower toilet function, it is better.

The room is lovely in Japanese style the views of the room r stunning u can see the mountains the sea just enjoy them in yr own balcony for sure I'd like to visit the hotel again in all I'd like to recommend that to my friends

only location isn't easy to find even got Google's help the quality of gels - shampoo/ body wash I'm sure they r able to provide better ones

Clean comfortable Japanese style room. Great view and very nice Japanese breakfast with grilled fish. Lady owner was very friendly and helpful.

Lots of climbing to get to the property but again this is what makes Jiufun special. Just store your luggage at the train station.

The property was so clean and incredibly nice! The traditional Japanese style was very well done and everything was modern and nice. We were very impressed and would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was absolutely stunning. The room was comfortable and clean, with amenities provided. The owner was helpful, coming down to meet me and helping me with my things, as well as calling me a taxi for the morning and showing me where to go to be picked up. It is a little hard to find, but worth the effort.

I love the room and the view! Everything was clean and organized. The breakfast was amazing too!

A bit hard to locate because of stairs especially if you have luggages with you.
