Before arriving in Thailand, I spent a lot of time considering where to stay. I was uncertain about my choice but in the end, turned out to be completely happy having stayed at JR Place. The walk to Klong Muang beach is easy and doesnt take long at all. There are several great restaurants available nearby. I recommend The Boat cafe (beachfront), The Best, and Rong Chang. There is also a 7-Eleven and ATM machines in walking distance. By the way, Klong Muang is infinitely nicer beach than Ao Nang for swimming, and much more quiet. Away from the crowds. Truly a paradise! You won't regret it! We took a taxi into the main town and one day even rented a car directly from the hotel. At the hotel the pool is lovely. Wifi, air conditioning and hot water all work excellent. We found our room to be very comfortable and spacious. Excellent value for what we paid! The manager and his wife were very pleasant and helpful. We were very satified and would happily return. Recommended!

An exceptional property with the kindest and most generous hosts. Very well appointed, brand new rooms with air con and a spacious kitchenette and bathroom. Free tea and coffee provided throughout the day. An intimate, quiet location with a welcome pool and exotic planting in the garden. Highly recommended and incredible value for money! The beach is a 10 minute walk, The Best Restaurant just 5 minutes away and Mother Market across the road. Perfect!

Lovely small family run hotel close to Klong Muang beach. Owners helpful. Very quiet. Rooms very spacious with superior rooms coming with separate kitchenette areas. Double with pool view also came with communal kitchen and seating area which was an unexpected lovely surprise and particularly useful during those rainy season downpours. Bit of an oasis as completely walled off from neighbours. Lovely little family restaurant called Best Restaurant very nearby

Not much seating or lounge chairs around pool area itself. Less than in website photo. However, indoor sitting area helped with this and generally too rainy to sunbathe during our stay so not such a big issue. Area immediately surrounding hotel less affluent.

Want to start by saying that the owners of the place are amazing and very friendly. They treat you really well. The accommodation was wonderful, close to the beach and close to some restaurants in the area. You are also close to the 7-eleven. The accommodation itself is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. We also rented motorbikes through them for 250 baht/day. Highly recommend the place.

We loved the pool, often coming back after dinner for a late swim. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, with everything from organising taxis to bringing us a cake for my partner's birthday! Our room was large and clean with a nice shower and at the end of our 9 days we could have stayed for another week happily. Definitely worth renting a bike so that you can easily get to restaurants, the beaches, and into Ao Nang and Railay. We really liked the soft lighting behind the headboard, and the a/c worked well.

Short walk to beautiful Klong Muang Beach, some great restaurants in the area as well as other facilities like massage and convenience stores. Stay was lovely and the host was very helpful, The pool area is amazing and the option to cook your own meals in the shared kitchen space was a great idea for those that want to save money on food.

You will find it hard to catch a GRAB from this location, but only slightly better closer to Ao Nang beach. Taxi services in this area are a little Mafia-istic and I think that is what effects the number of GRAB services available

Communication was brilliant, responses to our messages via WhatsApp where almost instant. Local recommendations for things to do which was lovely and unexpected. Laundry services were available, fairly priced and time efficient. Short walk from the beach. Friendly neighbourhood with restaurants, shops, cafes and bars. Help was provided for moped hire. We felt well looked after here. Staff were super friendly and happy to help always. - we enjoyed our stay here so much that we extended. Would recommend.

We loved everything about this place. The hospitality of Keng and Aom, who really looked after us throughout our stay. The beautiful room, wonderful pool and the proximity to restaurants, supermarkets and beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Not staying longer!

The location is great for the beach and getting around to local places. This is our second time here and we specifically came back because Ms Aom and the staff cannot do enough for you - they go above and beyond. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is not a full on hotel but is very clean and comfortable, then this is the place and you will always be looked after

Nothing to dislike!

Mr. Keng and especially his lovely wife are simply the nicest people you have ever met. Our stay at JR PLACE felt like visiting grandma, so warm and welcoming. The place is super clean, well taken care of and nothing is problem. Absolutely perfect service. Clean and very nice pool. We recommend street food "The best" on the way to the beach. We got addicted to their food and smoothies. Everything you need, like supermarket, restaurants, massage etc) is just couple steps away.

The location seems a little shabby at the beginning, but don't let it scare you away! It's simply where the locals live, no shiny tourist resort. But that makes it really cool. You see the locals who greet you nicely every morning :) But don't forget earplugs. There is mosque which wakes you (and the roosters) up at 5 am 😂
